Jungkook sips on his warm coffee, spending hours in the fairytale like coffee shop, just drawing mindlessly. Being the new kid was hard. Especially when Jungkook already knew that he wouldn't fit in. Jungkook was...how to put it, outspoken yet shy, bright yet dull, happy yet sad, beautiful yet ugly. He was a mix of everything, and he was always proud of that, and he never knew that he could be embarrassed by it...well, until he walked into his new school. Seeing how set to stone the school was, Jungkook felt like an outcast. He was definitely going to be the weird one.
The blonde boy runs a hand through his hair, as he continues to sip on his warm coffee that his uncle Sammy had given him. Feeling the bitter taste run down his throat, Jungkook winces every now and then. He didn't often drink coffee, but here and there the boy did, finding nothing else to drink. Jungkook felt like coffees was a lot like alcohol, well to him especially, one cup and he'd be drinking another and another and another. Until well, he either passed out from the caffeine rush in a dingy alleyway, or was stuffing his face with kebab to calm down his jittery tendencies.
You could say that coffee really messed him up on the inside. And it didn't help that no one understood what it meant to him after he drank one cup. Honestly, it was weird, but Jungkook had always been like that, ever since his first cup of caffeine, he couldn't really handle energy drinks either, although they tasted quiet... metallic and unique, one can and Jungkook was gone forever. Eventhough the blonde boy couldn't handle his energy, Jungkook definitely was not a lightweight, it didn't run in his blood...well, that's one way to put it.
Sighing, Jungkook thinks back to his first day at his new school. It went better than expected, no one really spoke to him. And everything went smoothly, apart from getting lost and then a lunch time detention because Taehyung was a douche nozzle with trouble making tendencies. Jungkook just couldn't that it had been the first day and he had already been dragged into trouble, like a dog dragging it's human into a lake. Yes, Jungkook's seen a dog literally go wild chasing a butterfly before dragging it's human through bushes and lakes until finally they both landed into a small lake.
The blonde boy smiles at the thought, this memory came from his old hometown. It wasn't far from the city, only a couple hours of a drive. Near the coast. It was such a beautiful place, with the windy beaches, long winding roads, so many little tourist shops, houses painted brightly. His heart saddens at all of the friends and family Jungkook had left behind with his sister. It wasn't meant to be like this. Jungkook didn't want to be sitting in an unfamiliar coffee shop thinking about his old life, he wanted to be in his old life.
He didn't want to start fresh.
But, he had to keep moving forward. Jungkook's life was messy, uncontrolled and definitely not perfect. And so was his sister's. It seemed a lot like they just ran away from their mistakes but really they just ran away from their feeling of unhappiness. Consequently, Jungkook knew that it wouldn't be easy, moving into a new town, getting comfortable with the surroundings and people, but he knew that he just had to keep moving forward, for the sake of his own happiness, and his dear sister's.
"What's got you looking so sad?"
A familiar pink haired male situates themselves next to Jungkook, flashing a smile with his plump lips. Jungkook's lips raise in a small smile towards Jin, "just...thinking, you know?" Jin nods, tapping his fingers against the countertop, humming softly. "You're obviously a new student, what do you think so far?"
Jungkook immediately feels comfortable with Jin's aura, maybe it was his pastel pink hair, or the soft eyes, or the fact that he spoke so beautifully, but Jungkook understood why Namjoon seemingly wanted to get into Jin's pants. Because this male, was more than handsome.
"I'm still not familiar with the city, and I'm not used to this much rain, or noise but I think it's quite nice. Living in a city, it's always alive around here," Jungkook says, keeping his answer short, not wanting to bore Jin with a long explanation about how he felt. Jin nods, playing with some coffee sticks, watching as the shorter blonde boy takes a big gulp of his coffee, before placing it down. Jin couldn't help but notice how sad Jungkook looked, and so Jin had decided to seat himself beside the new boy, and get to know the (very obviously) younger boy.
"So you've never lived in a city before?" Jin asks, trying to keep the conversation flowing. Jungkook nods, flipping through the pages of his notebook, "nope, I lived down south by the coast. It's really peaceful there...apart from when the damned seagulls go crazy in the morning," Jungkook chuckles before turning to Jin, feeling a little bit more relaxed, "you should definitely head to the coast one day, it's so beautiful to see the waves splashing against each other, the tourists running around, everything about the coast is just so perfect," Jungkook gushes.
"I've got family down by the supermare, so I know how pretty it is. I often go there, but mostly I head up north to see my uncles farm. He grows the best strawberries, when they're in season I'll bring some for you. They're to die for," Jin smiles, his eyes dazzling as he speaks about his uncles strawberries. After a while, the conversation dies down, and Jin's mind already has a new questions to ask Jungkook. "So if you love the coast so much, why did you move here?"
Jungkook thinks of a perfect answer, not wanting to give much away, "change of scenery. I had to leave it behind but there's no harm in falling in love with the bustling city life," he smiles.
Jin runs a hand through his pink hair with a sigh, "Jungkook...do you maybe want to be friends?" Eyes wide, Jungkook turns to Jin with a look of surprise. But before the blonde boy can even utter a gasp of shock, Jin says, "I don't know about you, but I'm tired of these stereotypes and cliques. And if headmaster Choi wants and end to it too, then I'm up for it, and if you are too, then let's he friends."
Jungkook nods almost immediately, "and here I was worried that I wouldn't make any friends at all. Hey, can I ask something though? Why do you guys have all of these cliques anyways?" Jin shrugs, "I don't know, it was something that started before the start of time, and just continued. But I'm so sick of hearing that we can't do anything because of reputation, or mixing with other people is taboo. Since when is being friendly and yourself taboo?" Jin rants passionately, mind immediately flowing to the oh so familiar boy named Kim Namjoon.
Jungkook sees that Jin's mini rant has an underlying message, and so the question finally slips out of Jungkook's mouth before he can even process the fact that he's asking it, "are you and Namjoon together or something?" Jungkook's eyes widen when he realises what he's blatantly asked to his friend that he's been friends with for...well at least one minute and fourteen seconds. He slaps his hand over his mouth and quickly let's out, "oh my god I'm so sorry, I shouldn't be asking about your personal life, it isn't my right. God I'm so stupid, I've literally known you for six hours and I've already asked an inappropriate question."
Jin chuckles at Jungkook, looking down at the younger with fondness. He was really starting to like the blonde boy. "How did you know? I spent a year trying to hint out to all of the brainless turds in my school that the golden boy wasn't so golden in bed but no one got it. And now the new kid take once glance and knows that Namjoon stuck his rod up me multiple times. You're incredible Jungkook, honestly," Jin wheezes, trying to control his laughter.
Jungkook looks weirded out at Jin's words but covers it up with a slight laugh, "in the headmaster's office you two kept glancing at each other, Namjoon more at you so I thought you were friends. But then you nudged him, so I figured that you two had problems. But then I seen you come out of the janitors closet, messy hair and shirt. And Namjoon followed right after you...with his zipper undone."
Jin nods appreciatively, "wow you're good." Jungkook laughs, "anyone could tell that you're smashing, you guys literally had the sex look in your eyes after you walked out of that room. By the way how does someone have sex in a room that small, like there's no space at all?"
Jin chokes on air at the sudden question from the younger, "what? You've never been risky and fucked in a janitors closet before?" Jungkook laughs loudly, "trust me, I've done it in weird places, but never in a janitors closet, it's so....constricting. Like I need space to roll around and shit."
"I feel you, but you won't know the feeling of being able to have sex anywhere until you meet the right person. And in this world, there's two types of the right person. The one who you're madly in love with, and then the one who knows how to fuck so good. I'm guessing you haven't met either yet."
Jungkook shrugs, "preach. And no, sadly I haven't had a good one in ages...how the fuck are we literally talking about dick and sex when we've known each other for two minutes?" Jungkook says, laughing loudly. Jin says, "Namjoon knows all of the right places on my body, and he uses that to his advantage, " Jin sighs loudly, "but he hits the right spot everytime," Jungkook bursts out laughing at Jin's words, "you just need to find someone with a bigger dick."
Jin shakes his head, hair falling into his eyes, "it's not about how big their dick is, it's about how they can use it to pleasure you, and...well..."
Silence falls between the two and Jin sighs loudly, "I didn't just like him for his body...I mean sure, that's how we first...but after a while it turned out to be more than just sex. It was...cuddling after intimacy, dates on the days we were bored, loving each other after tears. But then Namjoon realized that his reputation and friends were more important than the boy who was giving him something more real and raw than he'd ever been given before. I love...loved him. And what you seen today was his failed attempt to try and get me to sleep with him. And that's when I realized that he's never loved me. It was just an act, or attempt to always get me naked and under him. And I'd rather be as far away from him as humanely possible than put that toxicity upon myself- wait I'm sorry, I shouldn't be ranting to you like this."
Immediately, Jungkook shakes his head, "no it's okay, it's nice hearing about what someone else goes through. Plus you seem really wise, and Namjoon seems like a douche nozzle, less of one than Taehyung but enough to be a major fool. He's missing out on so much by not having you and I bet you, he's only realising that now. Trust me Jin, you did the right thing. Be happy for yourself, not because the idea of someone might make you happy."
Jin smiles, and talks to Jungkook even more about the most random things, the friendship between them blossoming the more they stayed in the little, dimly lit coffee shop that Jungkook's uncle owned.
