6.
It was just before the school day ended, and the 7 boys would have to meet in about ten minutes. Taehyung really didn't want to go to the meeting, or whatever it was, but he definitely was going to be forced to. Especially since headmaster Choi was a good friend of his mother's, if he didn't make an appearance he would be getting an earful from his mother. Something about getting good grades and having credit in school that links with participating in classes and extra curricular clubs, the whole lot. But the point was, eventhough Taehyung barely listened at some points, was that he needed to be better at school.
It wasn't the fact that he couldn't do it, he just wanted something more exciting than book smarts, and learning how in algebra they use letters (which should only be used in English) to represent hidden numbers. No seriously, how was that going to help Taehyung in his later life? He understands that he needs basic maths like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, but everything else? Nah, he didn't need it. Where was "x" going to take him? Where was 3.14 and it's use to figure out radiuses going to take him?
Down a drainpipe called misery that's what.
But alas, no matter how much he hated mathematics, the brooding thought of impressing his mother would always linger in his mind like a bad, repugnant smell. What could he do? He was a mommy's boy, an only child that grew up with no dad. He just had to impress her. But at times, it seemed that her left toe was more impressive than her son finally doing good and achieving something that he was actually proud of. Taehyung loved his mother, but at times he just couldn't ignore the neglect that she gave him.
Like a few years ago, he had just won the football champion with the rest of his friends, earning him the title of captain. And throughout the whole game, he thought his mother was sitting in the stands, and that's what motivated Taehyung, come to think about it, he didn't see her after the game. She said she was too busy getting her nails done. Two months later, a boy named Hoseok had taken the title, and Taehyung was left squabbling for a spot on the team, until finally he left. It was so sad for him, but his mother was more glad that he had time for his studies.
He didn't have a dad. Taehyung's mother barely spoke of her ex husband. Something about suicide and being homosexual. And Taehyung never asked. He just went on with his life. Sometimes it felt a lot like she hated her dead husband, and Taehyung always felt the reason being was that he was homosexual. Taehyung had grew up thinking that loving the same gender was wrong, and that if he was ever to look at the same gender in a specific way, he would no longer have a family.
But a lot of the times, it had felt like he didn't even have a family.
Taehyung sighs, ridding himself of the thoughts of his parents, or well, parent. The only reason why he was thinking about them in the first place was because of Jungkook. For some reason, Taehyung couldn't shake the thought of the boy away from his mind. He didn't know why, but ever since Taehyung saw Jungkook freeze after reading his last note, he just couldn't shake the feeling that there was so much more to the boy than he even thought there would be.
Taehyung tries to think of something else, and just as Jungkook's face leaves Taehyung's mind, the mint haired boy looks up and sees Jungkook putting his books away into an open locker, before slamming it shut. Jungkook's eyes turn upwards and he meets Taehyung's brown ones. Jungkook smiles, "hey!" Taehyung stops walking to stand in front of Jungkook, leaning against the locker with a smirk on his face, classic procedure of his. Jungkook rolls his eyes sassily when he sees that Taehyung's response is the smirk. "So I know that you're going to the hall too, d'you mind showing me the way?"
Taehyung stands up straight, "sure, I mean, it would be great if I had different company, but you'd do just fine." Jungkook scoffs, and slaps Taehyung's arm playfully as they both walk to the hall, Taehyung chuckles when Jungkook struggles to think of a reply. And just when he does open his mouth to say something in response, a high pitched voice calls out Taehyung's name.
"Taehyung! Baby!"
Taehyung pauses, his whole body freezing as he shivers. He did not want to speak to this girl.
Jungkook turns and sees a short, little big boobed girl run up to Taehyung, clasping his hand tightly, "you said you were going to call me back after last night," she says, her voice in a fake falsetto. Jungkook's ears almost cringe, but he watches in amusement as Taehyung's body almost prunes.
Taehyung takes a deep breath, "you see, the thing is Erin,"
"My name is Erika," the girl interjects, correcting Taehyung. Taehyung's eyes widen and Jungkook almost bursts out laughing. Watching straight people struggle was Jungkook's favourite show, apart from drag race and ex on the beach usa version because those two shows were elite.
"Right! Erika, you see, I couldn't call you because, well my...cat died?" Jungkook snickers as he listens to Taehyung question his own excuse. What made it worse was that Erika actually believed Taehyung, and gasped, immediately jumping into his arms. And he only hugs back reluctantly.
"Oh I'm so sorry, is there anything I can do to help you grieve?" Taehyung almost smirks, okay, so turns out this was good. Turning out really good for Taehyung. He nods, a small and little one, and he leans in to whisper something into the girl's ear, which Jungkook can barely make out to be. But he knows it's something dirty because Erika smirks to herself, nodding into Taehyung's neck, she places her hand on his chest, and slides it down, "I guess I'll see you later, Taehyung," she says seductively, before strutting off, hips swaying.
Taehyung turns to Jungkook with a slight victorious smile, "and that ladies and gentlemen, is how you bed a girl twice." Jungkook rolls his eyes and starts to walk again, "and this is why I think being hetero is a literal disease." Taehyung follows after Jungkook, confused and like a lost little puppy, "what do you mean? I just gave you the best showcase of all time, how to get a girl, by Kim Taehyung."
"Well it's a good thing I don't need that information," Jungkook mumbles, turning to look Taehyung in the eye. Taehyung walks by Jungkook, thinking for a moment, until finally he gasps, "oh...oh! You're-"
"Bendier than pasta? Yeah," Jungkook nods, not even batting an eyelash at Taehyung, who's walking next to him with his mouth wide open.
And even with this new information given to Taehyung's brain about Jungkook, the only question he can come up with is, "so you've had a dick up your ass?"
Jungkook pauses, eyes wide, before he scoffs, "so you think I'm a bottom?" Taehyung takes a good look at Jungkook, honey blonde hair, doe eyes, small yet plump lips that were shining either from the dampness of his tongue or lipgloss, his body wasn't small, in fact, he definitely was built a little better than Taehyung, but from his teeny weensy waist and his slim legs, good proportioned thighs and ass, Taehyung knew the answer to that question straight away.
Heat slicks down to Taehyung's stomach as he continues to eye Jungkook up and down, before he quickly shakes the feeling away, answering a quick, "yeah," avoiding Jungkook's shocked eyes. That was so weird. Was Taehyung getting aroused at the sight of Jungkook? That wasn't possible, he wasn't gay.
"Wow, I'd be so offended if I wasn't a bottom," Jungkook laughs, looking at Taehyung, noticing that suddenly Taehyung was avoiding eye contact. How annoying. "So what about you? Are you a top or bottom?" And that's when Taehyung meets Jungkook's soft brown eyes again, "I already told you, I'm not gay."
Jungkook rolls his eyes, "sigh. Classic hetero move."
Taehyung looks at him weirdly, "hey, at least I'm not bullying you for loving who you want. People who do that need to be evicted from life." Jungkook nods in agreement, "and for once, I can agree with you on something."
"But you've only known me for what? Not even a full day." Jungkook gives Taehyung a stern look, "exactly. That's my point." Taehyung rolls his eyes, "hypothetically, if I was gay, I'd definitely be a top." Jungkook scoffs again, laughing at Taehyung right in front of his face. Taehyung looks at the blonde boy weirdly. Jungkook notices and says, "oh please, the LGBTQ+ community would chew you right up and spit you back out, you're a bottom."
"Excuse me, but I am a top. I mean, I would be a top. I'm not gay," Taehyung repeats for what seems like the thousandth time to Jungkook. Jungkook rolls his eyes, "yeah I got your point Mr. I'm so straight I can't even bend down to pick up a pencil," Taehyung laughs loudly at Jungkook's sassiness, something that he wasn't expecting to enjoy. It was different talking to Jungkook than any of his hotheaded friends, even though Taehyung thought of himself as a line wolf, his friends were more like people he just knew.
Silence falls between the two, until finally Jungkook speaks up, "so wow, you're annoying, a troublemaker and a fuckboy. Your first impression isn't a really good one to me," he finishes off, giving Taehyung a playful wink. Taehyung shrugs, shoving his hands into his pockets, "do I really need to care about making a good first impression? I mean, you either like me, or you don't. I don't see the big issue."
"See that's where you're wrong, one day you're going to look back, and you're going to wish that you changed many people's perceptions of yourself. Taehyung, if there's anything I can tell you, is that this teenage, young life is going to come to end very soon. And no matter what the dumb adults tell you, you're never going to stay young forever. Soon, you're going to find yourself making the biggest decision of your life, and that's when you're going to look back on this conversation with me. And you're going to see that the new boy, you barely knew, was right all along."
Taehyung tries to stay focused in Jungkook's mini speech, but he just can't, and when Jungkook finishes off, he just looks at Jungkook with a blank look. "So you're not a very good listener either, that's something write down." Taehyung scoffs, running a hand through his mint colored hair, "hey, don't you think it's kind of unfair that your judging me without even knowing me?"
"Why ask that when you've already given me so much to comment on?" Jungkook replies, flicking the blonde hair out of his eyes to look at Taehyung even better. They reach the double doors of the hall, and before Jungkook can walk in, Taehyung grabs Jungkook's small wrist stopping him, before he realises what he's doing, and flinches away. Jungkook rolls his eyes, but doesn't say anything, waiting for Taehyung to speak.
"What have you noticed about me so far?"
"If you must know," Jungkook sighs, "first of all, you never smile, which indicates that there's something going on in the inside that's always making you smirk, not smile. Second of all, you always seem to crave trouble, if not trouble, something that would give you consequences. Third, you seem to be scared of people thinking that you're something other than straight. But I think there's something, or someone in your heart and mind that's hiding. But seeing as we barely know each other, hey, I just could be shitting you just to make you have an existential crisis," Jungkook finishes off with a wink, ready to walk into the hall. But once more Taehyung stops him.
"You know nothing about me, so don't think that with one glance you can get into my mind and pick it apart," he says lowly, leaning in to make sure no one else heard, even though there was nobody else around them. Jungkook's heart skips a beat as he finally sees just how appetising Taehyung looked. Sun kissed skin, plump lips, brown slanted eyes, and the mint hair that went so well with his golden skin.
"Well, I could've kept it to myself, but you're the one who asked, so get your tighty whiteys out of a twist," Jungkook replies cheekily. Taehyung sighs moving away, "don't ever think you know me like that ever again, or I will choke slam you and restrict your breathing."
Jungkook smiled cheekily, "so you like choking? Me too," Jungkook whispers seductively into Taehyung's ear, before he struts off into the hall, the door slamming behind him. And Taehyung tries, he tries not to crack a little smile, but he fails miserably.
Jungkook was truly something else, something he wasn't expecting.
