For a moment, as I woke up and took in my unfamiliar surroundings, my heart sped up drastically as I tried to figure out where the hell I was. But as I looked to the left, I saw Louis sleeping peacefully next to me. That's when I'd remembered that I'd stayed the night. I let out a breath that I didn’t know I was holding and relaxed, sinking my body into Louis' bed.

His arm was still draped loosely over my waist, not really holding onto me anymore but more just letting me know he was there. I pressed my body flush against his, not allowing even a sliver of space between us. I felt a breeze wash over my face and buried it into his neck, all while inhaling his scent that drove me insane.

It was a Saturday, and the day before Louis had practically begged me to stay with him. I'd been kind of subconsciously avoiding him over the past week; studying for the exams that were currently two days away from starting, was driving me insane. With all those folders, textbooks, notes and who knows what else, I'd forgotten about my boyfriend.

It didn't take long for him to wake up, his arm tightening his grip on my waist and his legs shuffling to tangle with mine. I tilted my head back to look at his face, only to see that his eyes were still closed. One side of my mouth tilted up and I moved my face closer to his, placing my lips over his in a peck. Just as he'd started to kiss me back though, I pulled away; by now he had learned how I felt about morning breath.

A few seconds later, Louis finally opened his eyes, blinking away the sleep in them so he could look at me properly. My face was close to his, our noses touching, so we could barely even look each other in the eyes.

"Hi," I said quietly, shifting my body closer to his. How come we were in the same bed, under the same temperature, and he was so much warmer than me?

Louis let out a small chuckle and his hand came up to brush a piece of hair out of my face. "Hi," He replied before moving his face closer to mine, his head titled to the side a little. I quickly brought the duvet up to my face; I guess he'd still need to get used to this.

He sighed, in frustration I guess, before sitting up and getting out of the bed. I sat up too, a little confused. A whole lot confused, in fact; did I do something that pissed him off? Did he think I didn't want to kiss him? No, that's ridiculous.

I kept asking myself questions, but stopped as I saw Louis walking out of the bathroom, with a long boxy object in his hands, seemingly trying to open it as quickly as he could. "Here you go," He said as he threw me the thing that was inside, and I caught it with both hands.

A toothbrush?

"What is this for?" I said through a confused chuckle, looking at Louis, who looked 100% serious about the situation.

"If I'm gonna have you sleeping over here, the least I want to do is be able to kiss you," He replied, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. "If nothing else," He added, making me blush a little as I laughed. Louis moved to the side, and pointed to the bathroom door; I took that as a sign to go there and brush my teeth.

"So this is mine now?" I asked excitedly as I stood up, and got my bum slapped on my way to the bathroom. "Yes, you have a toothbrush in my dorm," Louis said as I let out a small scream, laughing at what a guy he could be sometimes.

"Hey!" I heard a third voice. "There is a child in here!" Zach yelled as he turned over so he was facing the wall, and pulled the quilt over his head. It would be best if it gets used to it, I thought as Louis laughed.

*******

"Come on," Louis almost whined as he pulled me down on his lap, probably for the tenth time in the past two minutes.

"I really don't want to!" I cried out, trying to stand up again but ended up on his lap, again. I sighed in frustration, and turned away from the camera.

"Come on," He repeated, quieter this time. "I told her my girlfriend would be there too."

I ran a hand through my hair, staring out the window as I thought about it. I really wasn't ready to meet a member of his family, even if it was over Skype. And what if someone else joins the call on the other side? Another sister of his? Or his mother?

The thought of meeting Louis' mother made me widen my eyes at nothing, and feel like I was about to throw up. "No, Louis, I can't do this." I shook my head, trying to get out of his hold again; it was one thing to meet his sister, but his mother? No. Nope. I wasn't ready to meet anyone's mother. Not only because I was wearing nothing but his T-shirt and underwear, but also my face was a mess, as I wasn't wearing any make-up whatsoever. Not to mention my hair, for which I could be casted as Merida from Brave, if they ever decided to make a non-animated version of the movie.

Louis sighed and pulled me back down again. I looked at him with a desperate slash frightened expression, to which he shrugged and said, "Too late, babe."

As soon as the words left his mouth, I heard that short sound which indicated that a Skype call was being answered. A second later, "Louis!"

I jumped as I heard a female voice shout Louis' name, bumping my leg against the table where his laptop was in the process. He laughed, although I wanted to cry; not only had his sister already witnessed my clumsiness, but I was also sitting in her brother's lap and she could see us. Happy birthday, Charlotte!

"Hi Charlie!" Louis beamed, staring at the screen of his computer. I, on the other hand, couldn't dare to move my hand away from my face; I was probably redder than the double decker Zach had on his nightstand.

"Happy birthday!" I heard Louis' voice again, and just then I'd noticed he'd been talking to Charlotte the entire time. Oh God, I probably looked like an idiot, just sitting there, not doing or saying anything.

I hesitantly lowered my hand so it was on my lap with the other one. My eyes were glued to my hands, as I still couldn't dare myself to say hi to his sister.

"Oh, look! She moves!" Louis laughed as he lifted my chin up so he'd look at me, while Charlotte laughed in the background. I gave him the deadliest of glares as I shook my head. "I hate you so much right now."

"Aw," Louis said through a chuckle, moving a strand of hair behind my ear. "Love you too, babe."

It was a good thing that he moved his head so he was facing his laptop again; I don't know how he would have reacted if he saw me go from red cheeks to an extremely pale face.

How could he just say it like that, like saying good morning? I was never the one to throw around the L word, nor was I used to hearing people throw it around either. Apart from my dad, the only guy who had ever told me he loved me was Flynn, and since he left, I became very sensitive when it came to telling people I loved them, or being told I was loved. To Louis it was probably a joke, but to me, it was a massive lie.

"Lorena? Babe!" I snapped out of my thoughts as Louis started waving his hand in front of my face. I blinked a few times, and slumped into Louis' lap as I noticed how tense I was. Of course he was joking, he didn't mean to hurt my feelings.

"Yeah?" I said softly, kind of unaware of Charlotte, until he gestured toward the computer, and I turned my head to the left. I swear I had a mini heart attack when I noticed his sister grinning at me.

"Hi!" She waved at me, never losing the grin. "I love the dress!"

A second later, Charlotte was holding the familiar white fabric to her chest, as if giving us a glimpse of how it fits her. I smiled nervously, shifting in Louis' lap so we wouldn't look so awkward.

"I'm glad you do," I said with a smile, the firmness of my voice surprising me, and making me more confident in the same time.

"I'm Lottie." She waved at me again. "Louis' sister."

"Um, I'm Lorena." I pointed to myself. "Louis', um... G-Girlfriend."

The smile that appeared on Lottie's face was priceless. "So it's true then?" She asked, rather excitedly. "You really have a girlfriend?" She asked again as she turned to Louis, the way she said 'girlfriend' making me shiver a little.

"Um, yeah?" Louis said, kind of confused, but had a smile on his face. Lottie squealed, both her hands flying up to her face to cover it. "Oh my God!" She squealed again. "Oh my God, mum! Mum, come here right now!" She shouted as she stood up, and sprinted out of her room, leaving the door open.

My eyes became wide as I started panicking; just what I was afraid of.

"No, Louis, I can't, I really can't," I said in a rush, pushing his hands away from me, but it didn't help as he tangled his legs with mine, holding me down so firmly there was no way I could get out of his lap. I whined, feeling like I could really start crying.

"Babe, she's not really here, it's not a big deal." He tried calming me down and kissed my neck a few times, but it didn't make me feel any better. "How can you be so chill about this?" I snapped through gritted teeth, but Louis only laughed, making me want to punch him in the throat.

"Because you're amazing," He said with a smile, leaving me kind of stunned. "You're amazing and I know my mum will love you."

I was quiet for a few seconds, which gave Louis the opportunity to speak again. "I knew Lottie would do that, that's why I'm so chill about it."

This time I didn't hesitate; I hit his arm multiple times, making him laugh. "You knew? You knew and you didn't even tell me to put on some decent clothes, and do something with my face and hair?!"

Louis kept laughing; what an asshole. "Love, do you really think my mum would like to see you all dressed up at ten in the morning? Trust me, if you act cool about having your hair messy and wearing my shirt, my mum will love it."

This time his words did calm me down a little; he was right anyway. I haven't met a mother that appreciates her son's girlfriend looking like she's headed to a red carpet event after she's just woken up. Still, I could have brushed my hair and put on my own clothes.

"No, you're kidding me! Is this a joke?" I heard a distant voice, coming from Louis' computer, and almost had another heart attack when I looked at the screen; Lottie was walking into her room with an older woman, almost certainly their mother.

This family will be the death of me.

"Her name's Lorena!" Lottie beamed at her mum, whose smile also became wider as she sat down next Charlotte.

"Hi guys!" She waved at us. What is with them and waving?

"Hey mum," Louis said, grinning. Hmpf, at least one of us was enjoying the situation.

"Is this your lovelier half?" His mum said, making me shut my eyes tightly and blush like I've never blushed before. If she thought I was lovely... Well, she's in for a big disappointment.

"Yes, she is." Louis nuzzled his head into my neck, making me giggle as he tickled me.

Oh God.

I just giggled.

In front of his mother.

Brilliant, just brilliant.

"Hello love! I'm Jay, I'm Lou's mum," Jay said and I turned to face the two ladies again. When I said nothing for a few seconds, out of sheer awkwardness, Lottie spoke. "She's a delicate creature. Very shy."

"And you're not helping," Jay said as she turned to Lottie with an overly sweet smile, making me laugh a little. The woman just read my thoughts.

"Anyways, I- oh, hi Zach!" Jay waved again, now looking somewhere behind us. When I looked behind too, I saw Zach in only his boxers, after he'd just walked out of bed; very convenient.

"Hey Jay," He replied in a groggy voice, rhyming the words on purpose as he ran both his hands through his hair on his way to the bathroom. I guess he knew Louis' mum... Good enough to walk almost naked in front of her.

"Um, so kids, I need to go to work in a few minutes, so I can't really talk to you that long," Jay said with an apologetic smile, while I shook my head. "No, please, you don't have to stay with us, we're not doing anything necessary anyway," I said, and became confused when everyone around me grinned.

"She speaks!" Lottie said with her eyes wide, making me chuckle a little, embarrassed; I was talking, all of a sudden, after blushing like a crazy person and acting like I'm from a different planet.

"Shut up." Jay turned to Lottie with that sickly sweet smile, making me laugh again as I thought about how she'd read my thoughts. Again.

"So, love, how long have you been dating?" She turned to us, looking at us proudly like we'd graduated or something.

"Um..." Louis turned his head to me, but quickly turned it back to the computer. "Two months."

I frowned; well, that's kind of a lie, isn't it?

"And why am I finding out about this now?" Jay crossed her arms.

"We made it official just a few days ago," Louis said, kissing my cheek, making his mother go 'aw'.

"So... Lorena, right?" She said as she turned to me, and I sat up. "Yeah?"

"Where are you from?" Ah, there we go with the 20 questions.

"Um, Torpoint."

Jay narrowed her eyes, and turned to Lottie, who was now on her Nintendo. "Where's Torpoint?" She asked quietly. Charlotte just shrugged. "Dunno, south England or something."

She nodded, before looking at me again. "You're in the same year as Lou, right?"

"Yeah." God, why couldn't I say anything else?!

"Are you majoring the same thing as him?" The fact that she called it a thing...

"No, I'm majoring Creative Writing," I replied, kind of proudly.

"Ah." Jay nodded. "So you want to be a writer?"

"N-No, I want to be an English teacher."

"Oh, wow!" Jay beamed all of a sudden. "Louis wants to be a Drama teacher! Don't you, sweetheart?"

"Really, sweetheart?" I copied his mum, turning to him with that same overly sweet smile Jay wore a minute ago. "Yes, pumpkin." Obviously, Louis got his sassiness from his mum, as he curved his lips up so we both had the same smile on our faces.

"Aw, look at you!" The way Jay stretched her words made goosebumps appear on my skin. "Well, you go ahead and be the lovely couple that you are. Lorena, it was great meeting you," Jay said, stopping in the middle of her sentence to give me a wide grin. "You don't have to be so shy though."

I nodded and looked down; boy, if she only knew how 'shy' I really was...

"And Louis, you take good care of her! I like her so far, so don't screw it up," She added, her eyebrows raised and a semi-stern look on her face. I sat up, kind of shy after hearing her say that.

"Of course I will," Louis muttered, so only I could hear. I would have turned to him and started doing some lovey-dovey shit, but his mum spoke again.

"Anyway, I have to go to work. I'm so sorry I didn't have time to get to know you better! But we'll do this again, right Louis?" Jay turned to her son again, with that same stern look on her face.

"Of course, mother." Louis nodded, and I immediately knew I wouldn't be hearing from Jay anytime soon.

"Alright. Happy birthday sweetheart." She kissed Lottie's cheek as she stood up. "Bye, you two!" She waved at us, and walked out of the room.

"Bye!" I said through a sigh, relieved that I wouldn't have to talk to Jay, and keep stumbling over my words.

"Guys, I'm gonna go too," Lottie said, and just as Louis opened his mouth to speak, she cut him off. "I know you wanted to talk to me, but I have a life too."

"Charlotte, it's 10:15 on a Saturday morning," Louis protested, while I shook my head.

"No, no, you can go. Happy birthday!" I grinned, not feeling shy at all anymore.

"Thanks! And thanks for the dress!" Lottie grinned. "Now you go and have fun, as in have some nice, long intercourse. Bye-bye!" She waved at us before either of us could say anything.

"Hey!" Louis shouted, but she'd already ended the call. Louis turned to me, looking all frustrated. "Can you believe that? She just turned 16, and she knows what intercourse is!"

I stared at him. "Louis, I knew what that is when I was her age." He sighed at my words. "She's 16, not six."

He sighed again before speaking. "Well, anyway. It's her birthday, we should do what she'd asked us to." I almost didn't hear the end of his sentence, as Louis nuzzled his head in the crook of my neck. It took me a second to realize what he was talking about.

"Not anytime soon," I said with a smirk, as I tried to stand up, but Louis pulled me down into him again. "Oh, come on! Just let me-"

I didn't get to finish my sentence, as Louis placed his lips over mine in a long kiss. For a moment I was surprised, and didn't even respond to his actions. But soon I put both my hands on his cheeks, and kissed him back, careful not to let the kiss lead us somewhere.

Even though we'd been fooling around for two months, I wanted to be at least a little longer in a relationship with him, before we went anywhere past kissing. So as much as he wanted to, and as much as that dream of mine was telling me that I wanted to as well, we were going to have to wait for a teeny tiny bit longer.
