Louis' POV

I closed the door calmly and leaned against it, before clearing my throat.

"Zachary Noah Clarke, get your ass where I can see it, you dirty sack of shit."

Silence. Quite frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if he had snuck out while I was gone. I was boiling, and he knew it.

To my surprise, however, the black haired tosser stuck out his head through the bathroom door, looking at me apologetically.

"What the fuck did I tell you about meddling?" I asked, doing my best to stay calm.

"I didn't tell her anything." Zach came out with his hands in the air.

"Because I was there to stop you."

Zach stared at me for a few seconds, and when he said nothing, I knew I was right. I knew he would have told her about the God-forsaken dare if I hadn't come out of the bathroom. And it was killing me, the fact that he didn't know anything and that I also couldn't tell him.

"I swear to God," I said as I shook my head. "If you say something to her-"

"She deserves to know!" Zach cut me off, and if I may add, it was the first time he's done that since I've met him two years ago.

I widened my eyes at him. "It is none of your business! Just stay out of it!" I was slowly losing control.

"No!" Zach shouted; he was so full of surprises. "I am sick and tired of you using girls like that, because I suffer too, you know! I get glares on the hallways, I get yelled at for being your friend! And if Lorena starts doing that when you're done with her, so help me God..."

Zach took a deep, shaky breath and I leaned my head to the side, feeling kind of sorry for him; oh, if he only knew...

"She won't," I said quietly and looked at my feet. Was I really going to tell him that I'm falling for her?

Zach let out a bitter laugh. "Yeah, right. Every other girl did. Why wouldn't she as well?" He looked at me, genuinely expecting an answer.

I breathed in and thought about it for a few seconds. If I tell him, there's a slight chance that he wouldn't believe me. If I don't though, he will go on and tell her about the challenge.

"I just know she won't. I know it." I looked him straight in the eye, but he just rolled his eyes. God dammit.

"I don't care what you say, and it's not only about me, and how your shit affects me. It's about her, and how your shit is going to affect her." Zach was now looking me in the eyes, and got the effect I wanted from him. I swear, he doesn't get enough credit for his intelligence.

"Zach," I said through a sigh. There was no point in arguing with him if I just don't tell him what was really happening. Which I did not plan on doing.

"Trust me this time, okay? She won't glare at you, she won't hate you for being my friend. Just trust me."

Zach narrowed his eyes at me and shook his head. I wasn't going anywhere with this.

"You always say that, and for some reason, I always believe you. Not this time, Tommo," He said before returning to the bathroom, slamming the door behind him.

I sighed and sat down on my bed, with my head in my hands. If he tells Lorena about the dare, we're through. Done. Finished. And he doesn't even know how I actually feel about her. And I couldn't tell him. I just could not. Not now. Not yet. I just hope that when I do, it won't be too late.

*******

"What are you doing?" I looked to my right to see Zach leaning on the wall, his arms crossed.

I shrugged and looked back in the mirror. "I'm going on a date," I said, not looking at him anymore. After our minor fight yesterday, neither of us wanted to spend time with the other.

"Lorena?" Zach asked and I just nodded. I looked at him a few seconds later, to see him staring into space with an impressed look on his face, and nodding to himself.

"What?" I questioned, frowning at him. He just shrugged.

"You're really putting effort into this." You have no idea.

I shrugged in response, and walked past him on my way out of the bathroom. He was really not something I wanted to deal with.

As I was putting on my converse, I felt Zach looking at me again. I could see his bare feet a few meters away from me.

"What?" I repeated, a little harsher this time.

"You can relax," Zach said, not even flinching at my tone. Good job at confusing me though.

"What?" I said, dumbfounded, and he only chuckled.

"Can't you say anything else?" He sat down on his bed, while I never took my eyes off of him. Just as I was about to say something, he cut me off.

"I'm not going to tell her. You can relax," Zach said and gave me a reassuring nod, and if I say I wasn't feeling relieved I'd be lying.

I nodded curtly. "Thank you," I said through a sigh, and stood up.

"Good luck. On the date, you know," Zach said when I opened the door to leave, and I nodded at him. I might need it.

It was around 8 in the evening, and the date probably wouldn't end until at least 10:30, considering everything I had planned. Luckily it was Friday, so I didn't have to worry about having a professor strangle me for being late tomorrow.

It wasn't until this afternoon that I had everything planned out perfectly. A week ago I had the bigger part of the date planned out, but after Sunday I felt like I needed to throw in a few things, so I did. I was actually really excited about the date, it was the first one I'd be on without expecting anything later.

It took me a few minutes to reach Lorena's dorm and pick her up, just like I told her I would. She insisted to meet me somewhere outside, but I was determined to come and pick her up. I wanted to make everything perfect.

As I knocked on the door, the laughter that could be heard from the inside stopped immediately, and the silence was followed by a lot of audible stirring. I couldn't help but smile, anticipating the moment she opens the door.

I was leaned against the door frame, fidgeting my hands, when the door opened. I was facing the floor, so the first thing I noticed were a pair of white heels and bare legs, and when I looked up, there was a short navy dress. I gulped before looking up at Lorena's face, not really prepared for what I might see.

"Hi," She said quietly, with a broad smile on her face.

"Hey." I blinked at her, trying not look like I was staring. How could I not though? She was absolutely breathtaking. And if I don't get to see what's under that dress after the play, I'm going to be really pissed off.

You can never completely change a guy.

"Ready?" I asked, smiling as well, and Lorena nodded, and stepped out. On those three or so inch heels, she was almost as tall as me, though it was obvious she hadn't really worn them before, as she gripped my arm to keep herself from falling.

"Have fun and be safe!" I heard Caitlyn shout from the door and just as I turned around to thank her or something, she added, "Use condoms!"

I laughed. "Fuck you," I told her with a smile, and she flipped me off with a smile as well, before going inside their dorm again.

"Not to complain or anything, but," Lorena started and I turned to her, watching her as she kept her gaze glued to the floor. It was like watching a toddler learn to walk.

"My feet are already kind of killing me." She looked at me apologetically, and I just smiled. This date might just be perfect.

"Don't worry, we're going by car," I said, and Lorena raised her eyebrows at me.

"Really? We're going somewhere?" Her question made me laugh.

"Of course we are. But, I'm not telling you where, so don't even bother asking," I added when I noticed Lorena open her mouth, and then scowled at me. I was right, she really was going to ask me about where we're going.

"Fine," She muttered, and we didn't really say anything on our way to my car. I opened the door for her when we got there, but because of her heels, it took her a few seconds to get in. It was actually quite entertaining.

"You alright?" I asked as I sat down in the driver's seat, my eyebrows raised at Lorena as she finally got her legs inside. She closed her eyes and laid her head against the head rest behind her.

"Yeah," Lorena said through a sigh and I couldn't help but laugh as I noticed her taking off her heels. I loved the fact that she wasn't that girly; not enough to break her own legs, but enough to take my breath away every once in a while.

"Where are we going?" She asked again after a few seconds, when I was out of the school. I chuckled and shook my head; she really wasn't going to give up.

"Not telling," I said in a sing-songy voice, having her groan at my answer.

"Please tell me, I need to know if I have to put on these bloody shoes again," Lorena said, her tone kind of vulnerable.

I laughed at her answer. "As far as I'm concerned, you don't have to." I grinned as I felt her eyes on me, probably glaring.

"Louis," She said in a warning tone, and I laughed again. She was a fierce one.

"We're not gonna walk a lot, okay? That's all I'm telling you," I said and noticed Lorena grin from the corner of my eye. Damn. I should have lied. It was fun watching her protest.

"Yay." She clapped her hands like a child, and I glanced at her in the rear view mirror. She had her hair down, a bit curlier than usual, and she wore her make-up just like on her birthday. God, when I remember my reaction to the way she looked that night. It's a good thing that I'd already seen her all dressed up, or I wouldn't be able to keep my eyes off of her and we'd probably get in an accident. Yes, she really looked that good.

I couldn't help but remove one of my hands from the steering wheel, and put it on top of hers. For a second she didn't move at all, but then I felt her turn her hand around and entwine our fingers. I smiled at the road, and glanced at Lorena; in that brief moment, I saw her looking at me with a smile on her face as well, a genuine one. Not playful, or as if she thought something was funny, but the kind that reassured me that I wasn't making a fool of myself, that we were both in this together. I kind of got a taste of my own medicine; I started realizing how girls felt when they went out with me, actually expecting some sort of a relationship, and not just to be used. And in that very moment, I started regretting the past five years of my life.

"We're here," I said, a little surprised myself, as I noticed the ice cream parlour that I added to my original plan for the date. We were going to be there for only 10 to 15 minutes, before heading to our final destination.

"Seriously? I put on these for that?" Lorena asked, pointing at her heels and then at the shop, making me laugh a little.

"Relax, this is only a part of the date," I said with a smile as I got out of the car, and walked to the other side to open the door for her.

"Aw," Lorena said, kind of sadly, as we started walking toward the entrance of the shop. "So we're not going to sit here?"

"Why did you put them on?" I asked as I stopped walking, making Lorena stumble a bit forward as she was holding onto me.

"Caitlyn made me wear them," She snapped at me, obviously not happy with my choice of movements. I chuckled and put an arm around her waist, helping her as much as I could.

"She didn't mean to cause you any harm." I smiled as Lorena huffed.

"She's not really good at showing that, in that case," She muttered just as we made it to the door of the shop. I opened it for her, and within a few seconds of stepping inside, I felt kind of intoxicated with the sweet smell of various ice cream flavours in the air, while Lorena looked like a kid that had entered Disneyland.

"I was wrong," She beamed at me. "I love this place." She turned around a few times while walking toward the lady behind the counter, and I followed her.

"What can I get you?" The woman asked politely, looking at Lorena weirdly for a second. Before the girl next to me could start talking, I answered.

"I made an order this afternoon, actually. Tomlinson," I said as the woman nodded, going to get our ice creams, I guess.

"You did what?" Lorena asked, a smile tugging at her lips.

"You heard me." I grinned at her. "I planned out everything. All you have to do is be here," I said and she smiled back at me, just as the cashier returned with two bowls of ice cream.

"Here you go, and enjoy," She said with kind of a forced smile, and Lorena and I took the bowls from her.

"So what is this?" She asked as she took a small amount of the yellow scoop in her spoon.

"That's banana honey, or at least I think that's how it's called," I said, trying it as well. Hm, not bad.

"And what's this? Is it chocolate?" Lorena asked excitedly, taking a spoonful of the light brown scoop.

"You wish," I said through a laugh as she managed to shove it into her mouth.

"Nah, it's peanut butter. I asked for something that doesn't have a lot of sugar." I smirked at her, though she only frowned at her bowl. Did she not like it? Who doesn't like peanut butter?

"Peanut?" She questioned quietly as she looked up at me, all the excitement in her eyes gone. Okay, now I was a little freaked out.

"Yeah?" I more asked than said, and watched Lorena as she slowly put the bowl on a near by table. She gripped the edge of it, before gulping and looking back up at me.

"I'm going to need you to call the ambulance," She said calmly and kind of uneasily, literally two seconds before collapsing on the floor. I widened my eyes, taking a second to overcome my shock.

I almost threw my bowl on the same table as her, and leapt down to see what the hell was going on.

"Lorena? Baby?" I breathed out, freaked out beyond words. Lorena was twitching, almost unable to breathe; frightened, I jumped up and ran to the counter.

"Hey, lady!" I shouted, and three workers turned to me. Success.

"I need you to call 112!" I said, just as loudly, and two of them jogged to the front of the store where I was, while one was dialing the ambulance.

I swiftly walked back to Lorena, as the two workers tried to help her somehow.

"What happened here?" One of them asked me, obviously panicked, as she held Lorena's head up.

"I-I don't know!" I stuttered, panicked as well. "She just, she just collapsed."

I closed my eyes and threw my head back as realization washed over me, and I asked myself the question from before;

Who doesn't like peanut butter?

People who are allergic to peanuts.
