Chapter 12
~A/N~
Thank you all so, so, so, SO much for voting and commenting! I read EACH and EVERY one of the comments I get so don't ever feel ignored if I don't reply!
Annndd, there's also one thing I want to clear up; I've read a few comments saying that the characters swear a lot in the story. That is only because I'm trying to keep it as realistic as I can. I'm sorry but I can't use 'crap' or 'holy sugar' whenever something happens, because that's just not how the real world works. I'm sure everyone's realized that Lorena and Caitlyn aren't ladies; they are not here to be ladylike, they are here to kick some ass.
Enjoy chapter 12!

Louis' POV
"I want you," She said and kissed me.
Oh no.
This isn't good.
This isn't good at all.
Stupid cotton candy. This is a disaster.
I gulped against Lorena's lips and tried to concentrate. Alright, Louis, you can do this. You can do this! You are capable of stopping a girl from having sex with you. No matter how impossible it might sound in your head.
Lorena surprised me as she pulled away from me. Great! She might be coming down from her suga-
Oh no. Not the neck, not the neck! Don't touch my neck, I swear I- ahh, that feels so good though...
If we both get out of this alive, I will never forget this day.
I shook my head a little and tried concentrating again. God, this shouldn't be this hard.
I gulped again and gripped her waist, trying to somehow at least start controlling the situation. Maybe if she sees that I want her to stop moving she'll stop complete-
Or maybe I spoke too soon.
"Ah, fuck!" Sweet baby Jesus, who taught you how to grind on people, woman?!
"No, oh my God..." I said through a breath. I'm trying here, I really am! If I weren't, we'd be naked by now!
"Lorena, baby, plea- oh God," I breathed out as her cold hands came into contact with my bare torso. I looked up at the ceiling, trying to find some sort of a distraction. Oh look, the small bulbs are so pretty. And they're hung in the shape of a circle. One of them isn't working. Another one isn't pink, it's purple. Or maybe my eyes are lying to me. I don't know. It might be because of the lights outsi-
"Alright, that's enough!" I exclaimed as I felt Lorena's hand on the zipper of my pants. I grabbed her wrists and made her sit up with me. I couldn't let her go any further, I really didn't need a boner right now.
"Listen to me," I said, loud and clear, making sure she understood what I was saying. "We cannot do anything here. Or anywhere else. Not now. Not anytime soon. Do you understand?"
She blinked at me twice, her face blank.
"You have pretty eyes," She said dreamily and laid her head on my chest. I stared at the top of her head for a second, before I heard her sigh and relax into my arms.
I looked outside the window, my mouth still opened in shock. I can't believe what had just happened, I just cannot. Not only that Lorena had almost made the biggest mistake of her life, but I was able to stop her. This is definitely something I will never forget.
"Oh my God," I said through a sigh, I just couldn't help it. I stroked her hair as I tried to calm down, my heart was pounding. I was sure she could feel my pulse, even if she wasn't leaned on my chest.
A couple of minutes later the Ferris wheel stopped and it was time for me and Lori to get off. I half-carried her outside, she was suddenly really tired. I've never seen someone react such a way to sugar.
"Come on, love, stand still," I said, my arm tightly wrapped around her waist as she tried to walk by herself. We probably looked ridiculous, but I had to look after her tired, high-on-sugar self.
"Can we go home? I'm sleepy," She mumbled and leaned herself onto me once again. I sighed and stopped walking so I could call Devon and see where him and Caitlyn were. While dialing his number, Lorena managed to turn around and lean her front on me. She wrapped her arms around me and I couldn't help but chuckle; she was so adorable in this state. I couldn't imagine what she would be like if she was actually stoned.
"The person you are trying to reach is currently unavailable," The robot-sounding lady said, surprising me. I huffed and shoved my phone back into my pocket, a little annoyed. Devon picked an awesome moment not to be available.
I sighed, looking at Lorena. She was practically asleep, and I hated myself for having to make her walk.
"Lori, baby? Come on, we're leaving," I said quietly, kissing the top of her head. I heard her sigh as she slowly stood up straight, rubbing her eyes with her fingertips. When she looked at me she had the facial expression of a lost puppy, and I just couldn't help but smile a little at her. Seriously, no word besides adorable could describe her right now.
"Alright," Lorena said and yawned as she put on arm around my waist to hold herself up. I put one around her shoulder and we slowly started heading back to the dorms.
"Hey, Lou?" She called before we started walking.
"Yeah?" I looked at her, our eyebrows raised.
"Can I get more cotton candy?"
"No," I said firmly, shaking my head. "Never. Not ever. Not in this lifetime."
I looked at her; she was staring into space and blinking slowly, her eyebrows slightly furrowed.
"Why can't I have more cotton candy?" Lorena bounced a little in protest, and in that very moment I couldn't believe she was a 21 year old university student.
"Because you do goofy things when you're high on sugar," I said, rubbing her arm. "And I don't think I'll be able to stop you next time you decide to be goofy with me."
It was the truth. I don't think I'll be able to resist her if jumps on me like that again. Not only because of the dare, well, actually, the dare has nothing to do with it anymore. I wanted her, but I did a good thing by stopping her tonight. She would have regretted it, I could feel it in my bones.
We made our way out of the fun fair, although Lorena stopped walking after about five minutes. Oh God, just don't start throwing up.
"What's wrong, love?" I asked as I raised her chin with my index finger. She looked at me, her eyes half-closed, but she didn't look nauseous. Thank God.
"I'm really tired," Lorena said groggily, her body kind of flabby though I wasn't surprised. Who wouldn't be tired after running around for two hours because of some goddamn cotton candy?
"We're only like, 10 minutes away from the dorms," I said but she kept shaking her head. With her being high on sugar, I was afraid she'd suggest we sleep on the sidewalk.
"I can't, I'm sorry," Lorena mumbled, her words muffled by her hands as she rubbed her face. I cocked my head to the side; well, this is just fantastic.
I sighed, not seeing another way out of this but the following one.
"Come here," I said and she squealed a little as I lifted her up bridal style. It took me a second to balance myself, but as soon as I did, I started walking again.
"Thank you," Lorena muttered, snuggling up into my chest, and I couldn't help but grin at the sight. Her hair was messy, and she looked like a kitten while trying to get it out of her face. And her body, she was so tiny, I felt like I was carrying a kid's bicycle. She was all-over tiny. Her hands, her feet, her waist... Everything. I don't think anyone could not feel protective over her, she was this tiny bubble of smiles and rainbows and cupcakes that could pop if you just laid your finger on it. I don't know why, but lately I've been feeling like I'd strangle anyone who puts their finger on her. She's the only girl who's ever made me feel like this.
"Are we there yet?" Lorena muttered sleepily.
"Just a few more minutes, love," I said and kissed her head. When I did, she exhaled and buried her face in the crook of my neck for a second, before laying her head back in its previous position.
"I'm cold," She said and crossed her arms, in attempt to warm herself up a bit.
"I know, Lori, just five more minutes," I said apologetically, feeling as if it was my fault that she's not warm. I sped up a little, walking as fast as I could without disturbing her. It bothered me on some level that she was cold, and the fact that that bothered me was bothering me. What the hell had I turned into?!
Lorena didn't say anything else, and within 5 minutes I had made it to the school grounds. I went behind the school building and to the dorms, but I realized that I had forgotten how to get to her dorm. God dammit. Now I'll have to wake her up.
"Lori? Lorena?" I said quietly and she took a deep breath before slightly moving her head toward mine.
"Yeah?" She almost whispered, stretching her arms.
"Where's your dorm again?" I asked and she sighed, laying her head back on my chest.
"Fourth floor, hallway on the left, room 41," She said almost too quietly for me to hear. I just nodded and started climbing the stairs. When I got to the fourth floor, I felt like I had run a marathon; apparently, walking upstairs with a half-conscious body in your arms isn't exactly the easiest of things.
I stood in front of the door that had the number 41 written on it, and took a deep breath, trying to calm my heart down. After a minute I took another breath before unwillingly waking up Lorena again.
"Lorena? Love, wake up," I said, shaking her a bit. She suddenly inhaled sharply and looked up at me, obviously a little scared by my actions.
"Wha...?" She said, blinking a few times at me. I gulped at the proximity of our faces, before looking at the door of her dorm again.
"We're here," I said and again, she stared at me for a second before she realized what I was talking about.
"Oh," She said quietly. "Well, you can put me down." She smiled and I smiled back at her, before carefully placing her on the ground. I straightened my shirt and saw her unlocking the door already.
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow, or next week." I smiled at Lorena again and started walking away slowly. As much as I hated to admit it, I didn't want to leave. I wanted to be with her.
"Wait, where are you going?" She asked and I turned around, my eyebrows raised in surprise. Did she just read my mind?
"Um, I'm going to my dorm?" I said, but it came out more as a question.
Lorena shook her head, surprising me on a whole new level.
"Could you stay with me? I'm scared of the dark." She smiled at the end, but I couldn't do anything but stare at her. Is she asking me to spend the night with her? Am I being Punk'd?
"Lorena, I-"
"Please."
I kept staring at her, speechless.
"Stay."
I leaned my head to the side, still looking at her. I couldn't just walk away from her. Not now. Ugh, I couldn't believe what was going on.
I let out a sigh. "Fine."
Lorena grinned the widest she had all night, took my hand and walked me to her dorm. I took in the familiar surroundings as she sat me on her bed.
"Well, move, will you?" She said, smiling at me as I watched her confused.
"M-Move?" I said, dumbfounded.
"Yeah, move." She pushed me down, and I took that as a sign to move further down her bed. When my legs were up as well, she laid down and pulled me in a lying position next to her. I laid on my back, still a little awkward to be there, and Lorena put her head on my chest, her arm across my torso. I slowly put an arm around her, my hand on her waist. I couldn't dare myself to move; I've never been in this situation, I had no idea what to do.
"I heard you sing today," Lorena said, and I smiled as I remembered Little Bird by Ed Sheeran being played in an ice cream shop we were at. I couldn't help myself, I had to sing along.
"Then I feel sorry for you," I said, still smiling.
Lorena raised her head from my chest and looked at me, frowning slightly. Did I say something I wasn't supposed to?
"You're good, Louis," She said seriously, and I couldn't help but grin at her. It wasn't the first time my voice was complimented, but coming from her, I actually believed that I had a somewhat nice voice.
"Thanks, love," I said as she lied down again.
"Could you sing to me?" She asked, out of the blue, and I was startled.
"Um, sure," I said after a few moments, a little panicked. What was I supposed to sing now?! Little Bird? Look After You, my ringtone? Ugh, why didn't I just say n-
Actually, I know the perfect song!
I cleared my throat and took a deep breath before starting.
"Aren't you something, to admire, 'cause your shine is something like a mirror, and I can't help but notice, you reflect in this heart of mine..."
