LOSS

WARNING: This chapter is going to be kind of long, maybe, depends on what I do with this. So you might want to brace yourselves.
-----------------------------------------------
Years past. I still have the feeling of evil in that stone. I don't like to mess with it, so I put it in a small box in my closet.

It's so erie, I don't even want to look at it. Whenever I touch it, or even see it, I feel like I'm being watched. By someone, or something.

I'm sixteen years old, now. I started going to a public school at the age of sixteen. The same was for Owen.

Now since school is from nine AM to three-thirty PM, Owen goes to his dad's over the weekends after two weeks, on Friday evenings.

It's around eight-ten at this time. It usually takes about thirty-minutes to get to my public school. I'm not allowed to go into the village, so I go to a public school in the woods. I Haven't been allowed for my entire life.

I never knew why. I'd ask, but my parents would just ignore the question. I sighed, Don't bug yourself about it, Drake. I'm sure they'll tell you sooner-or-later. At least, I hope so.

I thought to myself. Growl...
I quickly turn my back. I saw nothing. I could have sworn I heard growling.. Heh, oh well. I keep walking.

Growl... I look to my side, but nothing is there. I'm hearing things. I think to myself, and I hear it again! Bark!

Except it's a low bark. I look all around me, through the thin trees, with beautiful autumn leaves.
"I've gone completely insane. That stone thing has got me paranoid!"

I say angrily, mad that the stone even exists. But it was a gift from Owen.. Heh, at least he's a little more smart now. He'a my age, but still younger than me.

Footsteps... I hear them. But, I ignore it. I thought it was just my mind messing with me, again. I keep walking.

After about five seconds it stops. As minutes pass, I hear them again. I was only ten more minutes away from school.

I was hearing them again.. But the more I heard them, the more I ignored them. So, I just went on my way.

---OWENS POV---
I was walking in the woods, going to school. I've been walking for about... twenty minutes. Just ten more minutes away.

I go down a different path, than Drake does. I feel like it's shorter. I feel like he's been paranoid lately though.

I mean, he has been saying he's been hearing things..
Hm... Maybe I should meet up with him. Yeah. I think I will.

I start heading the way Drakes path is. It should take but about two minutes to get there. Once I did, I saw, what was rare to see. A wolf.

Crouching behind Drake, getting ready to pounce. Didn't he hear growling? Didn't he hear footsteps? Then it happened.

"Drake!" I pushed him to the side, and I was tackled by the wolf. He bit my side...

I saw a man... He had a hoodie on, but I saw some kind of glow come from inside his hood...

But as he left with the wolf by his side, suddenly, everything went dark...

---DRAKES POV---
"Auhg!" I was falling down a rocky hill. I finally come to a stop, at the bottom after about three seconds.

I sit up, and look at my hands. They're okay, but as I try to get up, pain shoots through my leg, and my head, and I immediately sit back down.

Feeling blood from a small scar, flow down my face. What just happened...? I thought to myself. After a few seconds, I realize. Owen...
"Owen!"

I force myself up, and deal with the pain. I climb back up the rocky hill. At the top, I pull myself up. The pain in my head shot once more.

I see Owen on the ground, his eyes closed. "O-Owen!" I run to him, and look around my surroundings.

Remembering seeing a wolf in the corner of my eye, when I took a glance at Owen running towards me.

My heart was beating, and my face was hot. I kneeled down by his side, and lifted his arm. Blood was coming out of his side...

"Owen! Owen! Answer me, Owen!" I shook, and shook him. Oh, no, no, no! This can't be happening, it just can't! He's my only friend!

"Help! Someone!"
Cough, cough! Owen coughed, slightly opening his eyes. "Owen!"
"Dr...Drake..?" He said my name, trying to catch his breath. "Owen! Come on, stay with me, buddy! Stay with me!"

"Help!" Cough!
"Drake... No ones going to... Come..."
"No, someone's going to come! They have to! If they don't your gonna--" I stopped myself. Realizing reality.

"Die... I know..."
Die...Die...Die... The words echoed in my head, making pain shoot inside of it.

"No, you can't," I pause, tears filling my eyes. "S-Someone! Anyone... Please.."

"Drake, stop shouting... It's... Not going... To make a.. Difference.." I looked at him. I felt his chest. I could tell he was having a hard time breathing.

"Owen... I-" He cut me off.
"Don't be sorry Drake... It's... Not your fault... It's a mans..."
"Wh-what...?"
"A... Human...."

"Owen, who? What man? I dont..." I paused. Knowing that this wasn't
the time for questions. "Owen, I'm getting you to the hospital. We have to leave, now, or your a goner!"

I get ready to pick him up, but then realized something... "....Owen?"
He hadn't answered me...
"...Owen... Owen! No, no, no, no, no! This can't be happening, it just cant! Owen!"

I screamed at the top of my lungs, making the sky echo, and scaring away birds. I lay my head on his stomach, not feeling it go up and down. Then, I cry.

"If only I wasn't so stupid..." I whispered to myself. Wishing, this was a dream.

Hours later, I'm at my house. I told my parents what Owens last words were... They seemed, worried.

Owen was taken somewhere. I don't know where though.
I was in my room. Lying down on my bed, thinking.

Knock, Knock. I get up and open my bedroom door. "Someone's here to see you, Drake. He said he needs to tell you something, that you would need to know at this point. Because of the incident with Owen..."

I nod, and I head outside where a Enderman stood, with a black hat on his head.
