LEGEND
I faced him. He faced me. I could tell he was a serious guy. Just by the way he looked at me.
"What is this all about?" I ask, curious of why he's here.
"Have you ever heard of humans being friends with endermen?" He asked.
"No."
"Well, it's about time you learn."
"What does this have to do with Owen..?"
He sighed. "What did Owen say to you?", "He said something about a man."
"What did the man look like?"
"I don't know. I didn't ask questions, because I knew it wasn't the right time."
"Well, this story I'm about to tell you is a legend of great popularity."
I crossed my arms. "I'm listening."
"Long ago, here, in the kingdom. Lived a wonderful King. King Robbin. He was a wealthy man, with many dreams in his life. But he was selfish. Cruel, and utterly oblivious to the world around him."
"What do you mean?" I was confused.
"At that time that he was ruling, the kingdom was suffering hunger. Ships were broken down all over nations, because of one gigantic storm, a month before. The king had all the food in the world, but barley shared a pound."
"Us endermen, and enderwoman, we're friends with the humans. They would bring food for us. But, sadly, they never had enough for most people. They hunted and hunted. Gathered and gathered. Hundreds still died, anyways--"
"Again... What does this have to do with Owen?" I cut him off, getting annoyed. "Just wait."
"The King had never met the humans. So, he arranged a royal feast with some of the most known ones." He paused to take a breath. He was telling this very fast, after all.
"They told the King about how amazing the kingdom was, and how much sympathy they had for everyone. But the king did not like the humans. Because of their weapons, ways of living, and how they survive."
"What happened next?" I asked. Actually, very interested by the story. "He banished them."
"Oh.."
"Though, they still came secretly at night." He paused to take a sip of a drink he had in his hand.
"One day, the King found out. Then, him and the humans went into war. The humans didn't want war, but they had to. Because endermen would come destroy homes, in their neighborhoods."
"The humans won. But, more and more endermen came and destroyed the lands that they owned. So, the humans had to take action. And they started to kill our species."
"Anger filled their bodies. And they enjoyed watching us die, for one said, 'Though, We used to befriend endermen. Now we loath them. But as we didn't know how enjoyable it t'was to watch endermen die, and decay into purple dust. We now know the beauty in death.'."
"What!?" I yelled. "Most humans disagreed. Only about ten agreed. But we are still enemies. And always will be."
We both got quiet. "Is... That all?"
"Well... No."
"Then tell me the rest!"
"I'm not supposed to say anything about this part."
"Please?"
He looked at me, and paused. He could tell I was interested into the story. "...Fine."
"You know about the King we have today, right? Well, he made friends with a human, who was lost. His family was ender-Hunters, so he was afraid of the King at first. The kid was named Brian. They became better friends as they grew up. Brian told about his family, and a pendant that his great-great-great grandfather had cursed upon his family."
"He had said he never wanted to become what his grandfather was. But as years pasted, sickness spread across the kingdom, which the King ruled. It was deadly. Then, he read about a pendant that could destroy humans, but help other creatures. So he used it to help his people. But what he didn't know, was that it was the same pendant that Brian had told about. And since it was messed with, his family died. Including him. Ever since, Brian had been seeking revenge on the King. And he's still planning it."
And with that, I knew was the end. By the way he had said it. He turned away, and vanished into the woods.
