I sat on the ground, watching the girl climb a nearby tree. She seemed to fly right through it, and I thought I saw wings for a moment. She would look good with wings.

Her name was Crystal, as she had told me. I kept thinking about it, for some reason thinking it a bit unfitting for her. I always imagined a white cat when I thought of the name Crystal.

I shrugged off my thoughts, returning to watching the girl. She had jumped off the tree, leaving marks identical to the ones I had seen earlier.

"So, I've been meaning to ask you..." she said, walking towards me. "I've told you my name, what's yours?"

It was then that I realized something- I didn't have a name.

Well, I... I started. The girl looked at me, her gaze full of curiosity. I don't have one.

"No name?" She asked. "That's strange...I kept thinking your name was Evenstar for some reason. You look like your name could be Evenstar."

Evenstar...The name rung in my head, filling my senses. I felt...warm. It was as if the name truly could belong to me.

It feels perfect. I told her, and she smiled.

I may have not known much, but I did know one thing- My name was Evenstar. And this girl was my destiny.
