When we landed the troops ran out scouting out the area. I walked out when I seen a young woman peeking out from one of the buildings.
"Theirs someone behind that building." I told Bain. So he walked over. Moments later he pulled out a girl by her arm he dragged her over to me. She was very young and small. No older then 5 years old.
"Are you okay sweetie did you get injured anywhere?" I asked kneeling in front of her. She was looking down.
"No I'm fine I fell earlier trying to get away from them." She said pointing. I looked in the direction she was pointing. There was nothing there. But when I looked back at her, her eyes were red and her teeth were sharp. It all happened so fast I barely had to react. The next thing I know we're getting ambushed and all the other troops were on the plane. The little girl held me down by my shoulders when the plane took off leaving me and Bain alone with these monsters.
"Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you. Your not human just like me." She whispered in my ear. When Bain pulled her away from me. The ground was covered in dead troops. But they were eating them like Sarah had said but drinking their blood.
"Vampires." I blurted without thinking.
"So you figured it out." She said, walking to me.
"But how?" I asked.
"Because like you we're a ding species we're just trying to survive in this waste land. Back in the day my kind was almost hunted to extinction for just simply existing now that the humans have practically driven themselves to extinction my kind can finally flourish." A man with long black hair said, walking over. He had a Romanian accent. He eyes were bright red. He one else in front of me and smelled the air.
"You aren't human. Yet you work for them. Why?" He asked.
"Because I'm a scientist its the only life I've ever known." I answered hesitantly.
"Calm down we're not going to hurt you. We're only interested in humans." He said, putting his hand gently on my stomach I flinched.
"You are with child?" He questioned. I nodded. He picked me up.
"You come I'll take you with us. She's to far along to make the long journey back. She'll never make it. You shouldn't have even let her come in the first place it's to risky." He said to Bain.
"I know." He replied. When I started getting sharp pains. I squeezed his shirt.
"Come I think she's having contractions." He said, motioning Bain to follow. I yelled and squeezed my eyes shut.

He laid me down on a bed.
"Now I'm going to need you to distract her from the pain while I deliver Your child." He said, Bain nodded walking up beside me and giving me his hand. When a woman came in with a bucket of water, towels, and a blanket.
"This is my wife Sarah." He said, I couldn't believe it. It was the same Sarah that took us to Hayven.
"Sorry I had to lie to you Clair. But it was all for the sake of protecting my husband and daughter. You seen they brain washed David and Mark they would have done the same to you. That's why I tricked you into coming here." She said, when I realized why Bain was so calm. He was in on it.
"Sorry baby by now you probably figured out I knew about it but you have to understand Sarah's my sister." He said, and that's when everything started making sense. I roared when I felt the pain. Sarah walked up to me and wiped my face with a wet rag.
"Okay sweetie now push push as hard as you can." The vampire said, so I did squeezing Bains hand as hard as I could putting him on the ground yelling. When I heard a weird crying noise I made a grunting noise back and it stopped.
"She's a beauty congratulations." He said cleaning her off with a wet rag then he whipped her down dried her off with a towel and wrapped her up in a blanket handed her to me. She was beautiful she looked exactly like me as a dragon but she was silver. Her eyes were blue. She giggled and started laughing as soon as she seen me. I smiled.
"Well aren't you a happy baby." I smiled, She smiled at Bain. He stuck his hand down and she latched right onto his finger. He laughed.
"Can I hold her?" He asked so I handed her to him.
"So what are you naming her?" The vampire asked.
"This is Vlad by the way and our daughters name is Eve." Sarah said, I looked at Bain.
"Got any ideas I was going to name her miracle but now that she's here I don't think that fits her?" I questioned.
"Well Faith fits her pretty good what do you think." He said, cradling her in his arms and kissing her forehead. I smiled as he played with her.
"Faith I like that. Faith it is." I said, I got up and blood ran down my legs.
"Sorry about the mess." I said, and Vlad walked over with a wet rag. He wiped the blood off my legs.
"Don't worry your blood doesn't bother me." He said, wiping them down with a towel.
"So how did you and Sarah meet?" I asked.
"It was a long time ago. In Hayven they locked me in a cell. When she was younger she was wondering around she found my cell. I told her to leave but she came and visited me everyday. She was the only one who was ever kind to me. I grew fond of her and as she grew she visited me more frequently. One day she stole the key off the man they call father which is the person that locked me up. She unlocked my cell and snuck me out. Weeks later I found out she was pregnant. So I went to Bain and begged him to let me see her. So he had Sarah fake her own death so I could see my daughter when she was born. He even brings her to visit us quite often and takes care of Eve. I appreciate everything he does he's a good man. Trust me your in good hands." He replied.
"I know." I said, then he walked over to Bain he started talking and making faces at Faith she loved it. She laughed loudly.
"So are what are we doing now you can't keep me out of the loop?" I asked.
"Well their going to take you home. I'd rather you be there where you'll be safer then here." He replied.
"Oh what about you and Eve?" I asked.
"We're vampires we can take care of ourselves." He assured me.
"I'm a lightening dragon. Want to try again." I said bluntly.
"Oh really?" He asked.
"Follow me." I said, walking out. I walked out in the open and turned into my dragon form. Only this time I was much bigger. I shot lightening from my mouth and looked down at Vlad.
"Okay point taken." He stuttered. Faith started going nuts when she seen me in fact she turn into a much bigger dragon. She jumped out of his arms and started nuzzling up against me. I nuzzled her right back.
"It's starting to get dark we should start heading back. I'll come back some time tomorrow and pick up Sarah." Bain said changing into his dragon form. He was huge bigger then me, David, or Mark. Be skin was black and armored plating. He had spikes, big horns, and huge wings. He pushed me so I'd fly. So I flapped my wings. If almost came natural. Then he slid Faith onto his back and flew up. Then we flew home. When we landed it was dark. We changed back to our human forms. Only Faith was much bigger she looked to be about Eve's age. She was a beautiful child she had long blond hair to her waist and blue eyes. But most of all she had a warm bright smile. She looked exactly like me as a child. She ran over to us and hugged us.
"Mommy daddy." She yelled. We hugged her. Bain picked her up.
"Well looks like we don't need the baby stuff after all." He said, walking over and picking up blankets. We wrapped ourselves up and walked home. As soon as we walked through the door Sapphire was jumping all over us. I petted her and got dressed. I put a dress on Faith that I found in the baby stuff lucky it fit but barely. Then I picked her up. While Bain went to his apartment to get dressed. Faith petted Sapphire. I made some food for Faith and gave her a drink. She finished it in no time at all. Then I braided her hair. When he came back. Faith yelled.
"Daddy." She ran over hugging him.
He picked her up.
"Now come on we're gonna go get her clothes and go get some food." He said, propping her on one arm.
"Are the stores even open at this hour?" I questioned.
"Yes. Most are open at all hours. You'd be surprised of how many people go out at night." He replied.
"Really?" I asked.
"Ya." He replied.
