I spent many years in the danger zone. The danger zone had deadly mutated plants and animals that have evolved to kill humans. I honed my skills and mastered my dragon. I threw away my humanity. I didn't turn into my human form very often. One day I decided to go flying. When I accidently left the danger zone and got lost. I ended up in a desert when I seen a city. Off to the side. The buildings were all shiny and the cars hovered. I closed my eyes. When I felt something hit my face it was water I lapped it up when I noticed my hole body excepted my muzzle was covered. I tried getting up but whatever was so condense I couldn't move. When I felt someone trying to dig me out.
"Hey I think this things alive." Someone yelled.
"Well whatever it is it's lunch." I heard a man reply.
"You will not you know how hard it is to find anything living in this waste land." I heard a woman yell. When I felt something wrap around my muzzle. I squirmed but nothing worked so I turned into my human form. When sand collapsed in on me I yelled. I dug rigorously at the sand. When someone grabbed my hand. They pulled me out of the sand. I landed on them I coughed out sand. As I gasped for air.
"It's a human." I heard the woman gasp. I tried getting up when I realized my leg was broken. I yelled when I put pressure on it. When someone caught me.
"Easy." She said, but when I looked up at her. I screamed. She didn't look human at all. Her skin was so pale it was slightly grey. Her eyes were so dark they were almost black and she had no hair on her skin. I could even see her veins they were almost black. I backed away from her. I trans formed into my dragon form but as soon as started flying I nose dived into the sand. I was to tired to fly. She ran over to me.
"Now that was brilliant I never knew humans could do that." She said, pouring water into my mouth. I changed back. She examined me.
"She's in bad condition. If we leave her here she'll die. She's the only human I've ever seen." She said, picking me up. She covered me with something. She finally pulled in off when she laid me down. She laid me on a bed.
"So what are you?" I asked.
"I'm Anna I'm an artificial life form." She replied, she handed me some water. I emptied the cup.
"I'm Faith." I replied. When she handed me something in a bowl. I ate it. It was nasty but I was so hungry I didn't care. But it made my stomach hurt so bad I got sick. But when I went to walk back she walked me to a different room. It was full of plants mainly fruits and vegetables. I looked around.
"Do you know what they are?" She asked.
"There fruits and vegetables you eat them they're good for you." I replied pulling off an Apple. I took a bite.
"Holy shit I forgot how good this shit tasted." I smiled.
"Then eat as much as you want. As long as you recover." She said, I smiled.
"You know your not so bad once you get to know you." I smirked.
"You look much better." She said.
"Thank you. I feel much better to." I replied. She looked at me all confused.
"Whats wrong?" I asked.
"No one's ever said that to me before." She said, bluntly.
"It's how we show a operation to someone when they help us. I'm guessing your people don't have very good manners." I said.
"My people think stuff like that and emotions are meaningless." She replied.
"Well honey that meaningless stuff is what makes us human." I said, walking over to her. When she touched my hair.
"Do you like my hair?" I questioned.
"I never seen any I guess you could say I envy your beauty. I alway heard humans were beautiful being but I've never seen one. You don't have to try to make yourself attractive." She said, running her fingers through it.
"Everyone beautiful in their own way inside and out you just have to believe." I said, caressing her cheek. She smiled. It was the first time I'd seen her show any facial expression.
"You should come with me I'm going to pick up more food. But you have to cover yourself no one can know you human." She said, and I nodded. She dressed me in a long gown and wrapped my head with a clothe I could barely see. The gown was so long I couldn't even see my hands. Then she grabbed my hand and led me out the door. The streets were very narrow. She dragged me down a back alley. There were stands. All the people looked similar to her and most of them were taller then a advantage human.
"Now don't stray to far." She said, I nodded when I seen her walking over to a guards. He was standing by another man.
"Hi Anna good evening." He said, she bowed.
"Good evening." I walked over when I noticed her blushing slightly. I touched her shoulder making her jump
"Don't do that you almost gave me a heart attack." She exclaimed turning to me.
"Is this a friend of your?" His friend asked.
"Yes Prince this is Faith she's new around here." She exclaimed with a bow.
"Then maybe I should show here around?" He asked politely offering his hand. I looked at her she nodded so I took his hand. He led me down the street I could tell right off the bat that he was a kind and caring person. He pointed out each place we passed but I was to busy focused on him to even notice.
"I'm sorry I'm very forgetful. Knowing me I'll probably still get lost." I said, he froze at my words.
"A being with manners now that you don't see everyday." He said, glancing at me.
"Hey now I'm not going to let some rules dictate who I am. That's what makes us individual. Without them it makes everyone the same and come on lets be honest that's just boring." I replied bluntly. He laughed.
"I like you your different you don't want to fit in you want to stand out. Everyone always tries to fit in. Your the first one I've met who's a free thinker." He exclaimed.
"Like I said, who wants to blend in I say stand out. Be yourself no matter what anyone thinks." I replied, he just smiles.
"I can never be myself it's impossible." He said.
"No it's not you just make yourself think it is. All you gotta do is have faith. Trust me it's better to feel something then nothing at all." I said, pulling out the fang necklace Jason gave to me as a reminder.
"What's that." He asked.
"A reminder. Not to give up. It was gaven to me by someone I once cherished. Trust me loves the best and worst feeling in the world." I said, squeezing it.
"It was someone you loved?" He asked.
"My first love actually. But I caught him cheating on me with my cousin so I ran away. Now I'll never see neither of them again. They've both died. Leaving me alone for all entirety." I said, holding back my tears realizing how alone I was. I hated being alone. When he hugged me.
"Hey your not alone." He assured me. He sat and talked for hours till Anna came and got me. We went home and I fell asleep on the bed.
