The Father and Daughter relationship

I run outside after the rain stopped and jumped into a giant mud pile, even though my dad said I couldn't but like most five year olds I don't really listen. The woods had a fresh smell which was a usual smell for us since we live in the woods, I heard many things from dad about cities but I never went to one. Sometime we would go to a small town close to us for supplies, which we traded because my dad doesn't have a job like others. In fact people actually rely on us for some supplies like firewood, plus every now and then I found something that I could trade for candy. Like sap from trees or honey if i could get my hands on it, I was only able to trade with that kind of stuff because there was a candy store that made there own candy. "Eclipse I told you not to go jump in the mud, we might be going to town today." Dad was standing on a the back porch which was just a concrete what he put in a square hole he dug. "Sorry but not sorry dad, I chose not to regret anything in life like you." He chuckles and ruffles up my white hair. "Go get cleaned up real quick so we can go." I run inside and get cleaned up the run back out and jump onto my dad's back. "Eh I see your ready then kid, you should be careful on this old fart though." You climb up higher to look at him, I look at him upside down my hair covering the rest of his sight. "Your not old, you have more life in you than others." He chuckles and picks me up and put me down, then got on one knee looking at me. "I presume i'm raising you right but I never did this before and I bet your smarter than most kids. Probably because your like me in some ways." I looked over at him confused, wondering how I was like him. He got up and went over to the truck, I did the same but I got in truck before him. Since he was checking the bed of the truck to make sure that none of the wood fell out of the bed. He got in the truck and started it. We went along a dirt path through the woods until we got to a road. I've always been curious with the world outside the woods, since we barley leave it. I guess it did get a little lonely there, Since it was only me and dad plus I never had a friend before. I stared out the window, looking out upon the world thinking about what it would be like to have a friend. It took us about thirty minutes to get to the town, it was small but to me it was like a city. Every time we went there I saw and learned something new. "You know Eclipse that you know more than most kids around here. Kids your age are in school learning how to speak better, napping, and coloring, in my mind it's sad." He stopped the car in a parking lot that we always go to when were trading wood, he got out of the car and put the sign up we both made together. I got out of the car but I brought my textbook that we traded for last time, I went to the side of the truck and got dad to help me up. I taught myself how to read and i'm almost done learning how to write. As the day went by I kept learning until it got dark, I knew that meant it was time to go home so I hopped into the truck and waited for dad. He climbed in after closing the tail gate so the few pieces of wood that was left wouldn't fall out. He started the car up and we went back onto the road going home, it didn't take me long to fall asleep on the ride home though.
