Winter is coming slow this year it's almost Thanksgiving and there's only a little bit of frost so far. Which meant I have more time to play outside before it gets too cold. Thanksgiving was a normal day for me and my dad, everyday we usually play around and work some. I ran outside and into the woods to explore which I did often, so my dad wouldn't worry about me he knows that I will always find my way back. I follow the path I made all the way to my red flag, I always put the red flag at the end of the path but it took me ten minutes to get to the flag from home. "Hello?!" I look straight ahead hearing a boy's voice not that far away. I pick up a couple of sticks, so that I can mark a way back to my path. I fallow the sound of the voice while leaving sticks. Eventually I saw a boy that looked to be around my age, although he had blue skin, red eyes, and raven black hair. "Hi there what are you doing all the way out here, where's your family?" I asked right before he spun around and looked at me startled. Now that he was facing me I got a better look at him, he had bruises all over his body and his right side of his head had dry blood at you could see the cut that bleed out. "W-w-well I ran away from home, m-my dad used to hurt me s-so I left." I held my hand out to him smiling. "You can stay with me, my dad is super nice and smart although it would only be the three of us so it might be a little lonely at times." He nods and walks over to me, he grabbed my hand gently and his skin turned into a pale skin color plus his eyes turned Green. I probably should of ate breakfast because I think I'm seeing things now. We both follow the sticks I left until we got to the path, then we just followed that till we got home. When we got home my dad helped him get patched up and cleaned his head off. "Well looks like we have a new family member Eclipse because I'm not letting his father take him back." I nod happily and took him to my room which had a bunk bed. "You can have the top bed if you want it but you don't have to." He nods and smiles weakly. "Are you okay?" I sit down on the bottom bunk giving him a worried look. "Yea I'm still a bit shaken up, also we never introduced ourselves my name is Frost." I smile happily and jumped up and hugged him, it took him a second to hug back but he did it. "Well I'm Eclipse." After awhile of talking we both started studying a textbook, surprisingly he knew what I did. Which I found awesome because er can both study and learn together now. Studying went quick because we both made up fun ways to learn new subjects after reading a chapter, we both went to dinner when dad called us. Frost ate so much and so fast that it shocked me and dad, he was eating like he didn't eat in days. While we was eating me and Dad both explained to Frost about the town and what we do for work. That dinner was the best we ever had it felt less lonely now and I have my first friend, I didn't want it to end but it did. Right after dinner Frost climbed up into the top bunk and fell asleep, I wasn't far behind him because not that far after he fell asleep I did too.
