The return of Wade
) Moon's POV(
I woke up, stretching with a yawn.
And promptly falling off the bed.
I groaned and stood up. I don't remember coming back up after the movies, so someone, probably Star, must've taken me back to my room. Kinda embarrassing, I'm an older-than-Loki vampire lord for moon's sake! I look at the clock, 7:07, and scramble to throw on clothes and toss things into my satchel. Quickly brushing my hair and stuffing some paperwork in my satchel, I run downstairs and dash out the door.
I make it inside and head to my first class without incident. Wade would be coming at lunch. He meant to come earlier, but stuff has been pretty busy at Sister Margret's lately. I'm still a bit surprised they come to make gold cards in person. Back home we always met with them, after the Night Mother notified us. It ensured the secrecy of our location. While I won't say I'm desperate to get back into the fray, it still feels a bit wrong to work at the Hell House without getting involved in anything. It still feels more like home though, and I've put in card details before. All of the people deserved it, especially if the law enforcement system is as bad here as in Tamriel.
"Moontide?" My hour 2 Agriculture teacher snatched my attention, "Please answer question three. Rate the three poultry chickens and state your reasoning." Chicken. I love and hate chicken. I love them so much, but at the same time something screams at me to punch them. Which would get a bounty on my head. Not fun.
I looked closely at the three raw chickens. One was missing a leg, the third had a small slit protruding from the neck. Two looked fine.
"First, second, and third place," I pointed to each in turn, "That one is missing a leg, and that one has been cut into." She nodded and I rested my chin on the desk. Just a few more minutes until lunch...Just a few more...

I sat down at our usual table with MJ, Ned, Peter, and Star. MJ and I were just watching silently as Peter and Ned geeked out about something called 'LEGOS'. A noise caught my ears and I swerved my head to the lunch room doors, a figure speed walking over to us. He was wearing a hood with curly dirty blonde hair poking out, and I caught a few scars on his hands. He noticed me and put a finger to his lips, looking at Peter.
I smirked, "HEY WADE!" I called, only loud enough so he could hear me and not the entire cafeteria, "OVER HERE!" Peter whipped his head around to face him, wide-eyed. I snorted as Wade lightly shoved my shoulder and sat down on Peter's other side.
"Mooon!" He whined, acting hurt, "I wanted to surprise him!"
"Well," I smirked, "Maybe I wanted to annoy you, Jihatt." Star stared at me in worry, "Dov zira, calm down."
Wade pouted, "I am hurt, I am very much hurt." I flicked his forehead and he sighed, turning to Peter, "Hi Petey! Surprise!"
"Wh-What are you doing here Wade?!" He asked frantically, "How do you know Moon?!"
He pulled Peter in a hug by the shoulder, "Yeah nice to see you too. We met while I was wandering around, looking for that one chimichanga stand," He lied, and I flinched slightly, "next thing you know it's running away only to be stopped by her before it rolled into a construction site." He turned to me, "Did you bring the stuff?"
I snorted, "You make it sound like drugs. Of course I don't." I picked a book out of my satchel, "I'm saving it for Peggy's, so we can share it with the weasel." He pouted again, and the others looked on in confusion. But he knew what I meant, I'm saving the moon sugar for Sister Margarets to share with my 'boss'. The end-of-lunch bell rang, and we all parted to our separate classes. School. Yay...

I sat down on my bed and shed my satchel, looking at different choices for a halloween outfit with my phone.
I finally found two, one that looks more elegant, but the other would sell the costume lie, so I'll probably only change into the elegant one if something happens to the other.
I smirk, I won't be going in costume, but everyone else thinks I will. I'll just stretch my wings and tail for a night, no harm in that.
I laughed, I can finally be in my 'true form' and nobody will be the wiser. I can smile with my fangs and nobody will care. Star was planning the same, to go partially transformed as a werewolf. Now that she has Hircine's ring she could do so, controlling her transformations more easily.
Standing, I met Star in the hallway and walked into the living room. She was challenging Peter to Mario kart and something called "Super Smash Bros" and I was just planning on sitting down with tea and my papers.
We froze when we entered, there was a woman with raven hair and emerald eyes, wearing a green sweater and black leggings. She was reading on the couch and I caught a glimpse of a golden snake around her neck. Something about her seemed familiar.
Star bristled, "Who are you?" She demanded. The woman looked up and raised a raven colored brow, then it clicked. I searched the magical auras in the room, and the woman had the same gold-stranded green aura as a certain stabby prince.
"Star," I said, "Calm down. It's Loki. Remember what Peter told us? About some people being trans or gender fluid? Or no gender at all?" I looked at her, "Looks like Loki felt like a girl today, and changed hi-HER body to fit it."
She quickly calmed down when Lady-Loki gave a stiff nod and went back to her book. I sat down on the other side of the couch and picked up my paperwork, this batch being about the new book organization for Apocrypha. Something about Lady-Loki's posture changed, more relaxed for some reason. I wonder why. I mentally shrug it off as Peter enters, greeting Lady-Loki and immediately setting up the game console.
I suddenly start, cursing under my breath. I had work today at Sister Margaret's. Dashing to my room and grabbing my satchel again, I gleefully noticed that nobody realized my sudden movement. My face quickly fell when I realized Lady-Loki was looking at me, one of her brows elegantly raised.
"What's got you in a hurry?" She asked.
"Nothing much, just remembered something I promised a friend." It wasn't a lie, I did promise Wade I would check in today. She looked at me skeptically for a moment, before looking back down at her book.
I smiled slightly, and slipped in the elevator, Star and Peter too engrossed with the game to notice. Were we really getting that dull? To not look up at the slightest sound? I know we don't have to here, but listening all the time for certain sounds saved our lives more than once. And it saves us from embarrassment as well. I sighed, impatiently waiting for the elevator to hit the lobby, then sliding out the back door. I ran through the streets like usual, and slipped inside Hell's Kitchen, talking to the usual suspects before putting on my mask and entering the Hellhouse.
Per usual, I was close to fighting Domino, before Weasel entered the room. I mentally groaned, it's been a while since I've fought anything. I fear I may be getting rusty, and I can never find a free training room that doesn't have Natasha, Thor, or on occasion, Vision occupying it.
"Sorry squirt," She said, "Maybe next time."
I frowned, then perked up when I heard the voices.
<Hiya Bold, Line!> Says Angelo.
Hiya kid!
Hi
Whoa, I thought, Angelo, how the heck are you so...peppy today???
[Easy,] Annie smirked, [Sol got him a couple happy meals]
<Annnniiiiieeeee!> He whined, <You weren't supposed to tell her that!>
Too late, I teased, Now I know you love happy meals after all!
Bold, line, Annie, and I chuckled, Angelo pouted and Sol looked like he was stifling laughter.
Hey Line, Bold? Where's Wade? I asked, I brought moonsugar.
Head towards the counter, he's hiding from Weasel because he broke a table. Again.
Thanks!
I laugh at them, then head behind the counter and poke Wade's shoulder, startling him. I then looked around and saw Weasel stomping up.
"Deadpool!" He exclaimed, "That's the third table this week! HOW?! I know you're back there!"
I chuckled as Wade stood up, "Not my fault a newbie wanted to duel." He pouted, "He dragged himself into that mess, and now," I could tell he was smiling through the mask, "He's in the hospital!"
I snorted and removed the moonsugar from my satchel, grabbing two drinks from behind the bar, "I brought the stuff."
Weasel smiled tiredly for what seemed like the first time that day, "Thank lord. It's been so busy I've barely gotten any sleep. Hand it over!" Mixing miniscule and barely existent amounts into each drink, I gave them each a tankard.
They both slurped it down joyfully, and I hid the moonsugar in my satchel after putting a large moonsugar crystal into my own drink, which is tea as far as they know, and Weasel frowned, "Why'd you put so much?"
"I'm used to it," I shrugged, "I've had moonsugar my entire life, but your bodies wouldn't be able to handle so much probably. Besides," I teased, looking at Wade who was about to speak, "regen factor or not, I'm the supplier." Wade pouted and I snorted, heading into the washroom. A moment later I came out, wearing darker clothes, and got to work. People headed up to the bar, I take their orders, make their drinks, serve it and repeat. On occasion there's witty banter with Wade or a patron, and sometimes a gold card, but after working here a while I'm used to it. Sometimes though after registering a gold card, I look in the corner with a raised platform that's never used, and remember. The night Mother's coffin isn't there, Nazir isn't talking with Babette or Cicero, an initiate isn't wandering around, I'm not in my underground home.
When can I go home?
By all the Daedra and Aedra, I think, changing back into my other clothes and going back to the tower. What will I tell them? What do I tell Cicero, Babette, Nazir, when we can finally go back to Skyrim. How do I explain what Uncle Sheo did, will they hate me for it? Assuming they're even still alive by then. The college too, Mirabelle and Urag Gro-Shub, how well are they handling work at the college? MY work, the work and the family I should be taking care of. Argh!
I go into my room once the elevator stops, and sit at my desk with one of Morna's quills and waited. Moments later, Morna flew inside and dropped the paperwork on my desk, cooing sadly. She never did like it, but this is the closest I can get to being there again for now. I can still control lesson plans at the College of Winterhold, I can still manage some of my work both at the Shivering Isles and at Volkihar Castle. I can at least take some of the work off their hands. Let's just hope I don't pass out at the desk again, that left lines on my face last time.
