Chapter 11
Shizukas pov.

I glumly trudged back to the house with one hand covering my stinging eye and the other dangling loosely by my side.

"Ryuu kun!! You're ba- are you okay?" Sakura suddenly dropped the whole fan girl like facade the minute she saw my tear stained cheeks.

"Yea. I'm fine, thanks." My eyes couldn't, wouldn't, look up to meet her gaze. Instead they were kept low to the ground as I walked down the hall into my room.

"Miss?" A little voice called from behind me. "Are you okay? You look sad."

I turned around to find the kid looking at me with concern. "I-I'm fine." My voice broke slightly at those words but I pushed down the sobs trying to break through and gritted out a smile. "Just a little tired. That's all. I went for a morning run."

He hesitated before letting the subject go and walked away.

I made my way to the bathroom and collapsed against the sink. I splashed cold water against my face, trying to wake myself up as if I were in a nightmare. Eventually however, I gave up and just went into my room.

"Hey wake up Ryuu chan!!" My eyes fought to focus on the orange blob in front of me. "They left without us!! Believe it!" The blob spoke with annoyance laced in his voice.

I yawned and rubbed my eyes, "what."

"Kakashi sensei and the other two left us!- wait, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR EYE?!"

"It's a long story and they probably went to the bridge."

"BUT THATS NOT AN ANSWER AND THEY LEFT US HERE BELIEVE IT"

"Oh kami help me." I looked up at the ceiling, "I'm gonna transport to the bridge. You can walk or something. See ya whiskers." I waved him off and poofed into thin air.

"Oy bakashi, you le-"

"-DUCK!"

My body was pushed to the ground just as a sword slashed itself at the place where my head would've been. "Jesus Bakashi. You weigh a ton." I rolled onto my homage to push the body off of me.

I got up, "hey zabucow. Whazzup? If you don't mind can you just leave me in like some corner while you fight or maybe just kill me now? I honestly don't care anymore. A slice to the jugular would be best, it's most humane in my opinion and the death is quick and fast. So. Make a choice. Or maybe haku can just strike me with one of his senbons. Where is haku by the way? Oh dear, look at me just rambling on." I laughed humorlessly, my eyes just hollow sockets.

Zabucow narrowed his eyes at me, "you want to die kid?"

"What is there to live for? My best friends gone, this disease is eating at my life anyway, if I die my dragons would be free. So why not. Now make it quick." I craned my neck and gestured to the place I wanted him to slice.

He looked at me stunned, "HAKU, take care of her. She won't move."

I scanned the bridge to find a freakin ice cage like building smack on the side with what I'm guessing as sasuke inside with haku. He jumped out of one of the ice blocks and sent a sendbon flying my way; I watched the needle shoot closer and closer and just as it was about to pierce my skin, o was knocked down yet again. "GODDAMMIT BAKASHI, CANT YOU SEE IM TRYING TO DIE?" I yelled at him frustrated and pissed. "Freaking hell haku, try again."

"RYUU, what do you think you're doing?" Kakashi replied at me with pure concern and rage.

"TRYING TO DIE BAKASHI BUT SOMEONE KEEPS MESSING IT UP!" I screamed right on back. But as haku was about to send another senbon my way, a certain dragon emerged.

Mizus tail whacked out of the water and slapped the needle away, "I'm afraid i cannot let you die Ryuu sama. You are the last of the Ryuu clan and i must treasure that fact."

He crawled up from the side of the bridge in his human form, his shirt soaked in sea water. "FOR KAMIS SAKE, NOW IVE GOT A DRAGON PREVENTING ME FROM DYING TOO. ARE YOU KIDDING ME." Mizu smiled at me with a toothy and playful grin stretched out against his face.

"Sorry Ryuu sama, but I gotta defy your ways of thinking this time." He winked then went back to glaring at the boy before him. "Now. What are your orders Ryuu sama."

"LET THE BOY KILL ME"

He sweatdropped, "you better think of something else."

"Fine. Get sasuke-"

"IM HERE BELIEVE IT!!" Now. Let us fast forward a bit. "ILL SAVE YOU SASUKE TEME!!"

"-and Naruto to safety." I ended with a sweatdrop.

"Got it Ryuu sama." He winked then flashed off into the ice, "hello, for some reason Ryuu sama decided to let your worthless human lives to survive. So here I am."

"DAMMIT MIZU JUST HELP THEM."

"RYUU STOP JUST STANDING THERE LIKE A TREE AND HELP ME!" Bakashi screamed at me with frantic eyes.

"Well that's where you're wrong. If I'm a tree then technically I'm helping you breath, and you need to breath to live, and you need to live to defeat zabucow, therefore I am helping you." I explained with a finger in the air as though I was a teacher.

"RYUU!"

"Alright alright." My tails whipped out from my lower back and my nails evolved into claws. My pupils turned slit, "let's just get this over with."

A smile cracked on my face as my tails lashed about like whips. 'Oy Mizu. What's taking so long?' The dragons grunted inreply as I was chasing zabucow and Bakashi around like some twisted Cat and mouse game.

'Uzumakis got it handled. The uchiha looks dead but his health bar seems fine. I suppose he's in a near death state. Hakus awaiting death right now demanding uzumaki to kill him- wait. He's gone!'

I narrowed my eyes and focused in on the surroundings until a small flash caught my attention. It took my about half a second to figure out what he was doing, then my reflexes kicked in full force. One of the tails whisked forward at bakashis hand, the chidori, and just before it could pierce either haku or zabucow, my tail wrapped itself around his arm and absorbed al of the chakra. Letting the chidori diffuse on itself. "Can't let another innocent life go to waste now can I?"

"Ryuu..." he muttered in a dangerously low tone.

"And now you know how I feel when the life you want gone is still alive because of the doings of another." I glared holes in his head, watching him noticeably flinch at my cold and harsh tone of voice. "Zabucow, haku!" My voice snapped at them like rubber bands causing them to fearfully crack their neck my way, "gatos a lying old pedo who ain't gonna give you your money. Deal with it. Now you can either kill us for no pay or fight with us and unleash your anger on him and his little minions."

They seemed to pause and think about it before zabucow shrugged then slouched down to a neutral position, haku following in his steps soon after as well.

"RYUU KUN!!! SASUKE KUNS AWAKE!!" A high pitched voice squeaked from the back.

I let my head droop down in annoyance then slapped on a fake smile and turned toward her, "joy. The Emo duckass with a giant life threatening ego and the arrogance of a bitch survived and can now bless us with the miracle of life and blah blah blah, I honestly don't give a shit honey."

She gasped then started yelling at me which I skillfully tuned out with a monotone hum.

"Well well well-"

"Oh shut it you old pedophile and cut to the chase." I snarled with the same amount of venom as a black mamba snake.

"And who are-"

"I'm a person who doesn't give a living damn who the hell you are. Now hurry up. I've got places to be and people to kill. You're one of them as well so I need to get my job done but your last words are turning into your last paragraph." The bridge was silent as I finished my speech, "well?"

"You're that Ryuu kid. The friend of that bitch, Ruka." He snarled.

And with that one word my eyes flash dangerously dark, "excuse me?"

"Ha, that bitch deserved to die. My people must've really fooled you with that child's mask." He cackled like a crow, making my ears drop blood.

My veins pulse with rage and my hands twitch with adrenaline, "you killed her?"

"What do-"

"YOU KILLED HER?!" I screamed so loud I swear my eardrums were ringing. "You killed her. NOW ILL KILL YOU!" A growl erupted from my throat as I bolted at the tiny man whom looked like he just pissed himself.

"Let's shed some blood." Zabucow and haku joined in soon later. His mask unraveled into a Cheshire smile then both he and haku charged at the old man.

They took care of his minions while I charged headfirst, bull style at the greedy old man. My heels connected with his ribs, sending him crashing toward the ground and a satisfying crack was heard. I lifted my shoe then sent it hurtling down back into his chest, one blow to the lungs and he was coughing up blood. "Die"

I kicked him over the bridge and watched him sink, never to resurface again. "Mizu, tell your dragons that there's gonna be a feast underwater."

My eyes trailed around the mounds of flesh dead on the floor, "well then. Mizu, take care of this. It's disgusting."

"Hai!" He barked then with a flick of his wrist, the waves crashed down on the bridge, washing away the bloody debris and showering us in salt water.

"Dammit Mizu."

He laughed nervously and placed his hand behind his head, "sorry Ryuu sama."

The wetness rises off of my soaked clothes as of the scene sad on reverse, "thanks." I sputtered out.

"wait. What just happened??!" Sakura exclaimed with wide and confused eyes, looking as though she just walked through the labyrinth.

"You should stay awake instead of daydreaming hun."

"RYUU ONEE SAN!!" The kid yelled from behind me with tears streaming down his face. He ran up to me and wrapped his tiny arms around me. "I'm gonna miss you."

I gulped down the sobs banging against its cage and kept my facade on strong, "I'll visit kid. I'll visit every month." I placed my lips against his forehead then let him go. He trudged back to his family, the villagers and stood by his mother tall and proud.

"Well we should get going now!" Bakashi yelled from the front. "Bye!!"

There were stares pointed at me for the last twenty minutes of our walk back already, "what do you three want?"

They all stopped in their tracks.

"What?"

"Well you see-"

"We were wondering-"

"How are you two so mysterious?"

I raised an eyebrow, "mysterious? I see how Bakashi can come off as mysterious but me?" I spun on my heel to face them, "I mean. Of course my gender identity should stir up something but surely I'm not mysterious."

"BUT!"

My hand waved in a way of dismissal on the subject, "but anyway." I paused and tilted my chin in a thinking manner, "maybe I'll go to the sauna when we get back. It has been an awfully long time since I last went there."
