It was a beautiful day, David got his first assignment since being sworn in by the knights, an important one as well, he must defend the princess.
"Listen I know this might be tough for your first job, but I believe you can do it" the King said
"May I ask why me?" David asked
"Well you were the best of the best, number one if I'm not mistaken" The King Replied
David then said "well what if I fail"
"You will not fail, I have faith in you, your father was a good man, may God rest his soul, and I believe that you will be even better" The King said placing his hand on David's shoulder
"Thank you your highness, and if it's alright that after the shift I could check more of those scrolls, about the Dragons" David asked
The king looked at David and said "why the Dragons?"
"Well they've always interested me, I know they've been dead long before the first king, King Bruce, also known as one of the greatest Generals at the time, but something about them, it just fills me with excitement" David explained
The king thought about it for a second then nodded.
When David and The King made it to her quarters he knocked and out came one of the most beautiful women in the entire kingdom. Princess Alicia.
Princess Alicia had the brightest smile, the smoothest voice, wore a white dress, everything on her was white to say the least.
The Princess then looked at David and to her father
"Daddy.....may I ask who this is" she said, curious because she has never seen David before
"Oh my dear, this is David Rahgot, the best of the best from the knight academy" The King said
"Pleasure to meet you, your highness" David said kneeling.
"No need to kneel please" The Princess said
"Sorry your highness" David said
"Now David, you watch her until her wedding with the Prince next month, you must watch her like a hawk, these marriages are the reason we haven't had a war in 85 years" The King said
David then replied "don't worry my League, your daughter shall be safe under my watch"
"That's what I like to hear, if anything is needed come and find me" the King said as he walked down the stairs
"Is it ok we can make a few rules Sir Rahgot" Princess Alicia said
"Whatever you would like your highness" David said
"There's no need to call me any of that, I like Alicia, it makes me feel more down to Earth with everyone than being praised all the time" Alicia said hoping for David to say yes
"Of course Alicia, I aim to please" David said
"I also have a question, your last name....what does it mean?" Alicia asked
David had a confused look on his face and replied with "my last name?"
Alicia responded with "yes your last name, I've never heard of any last name like that, what does it mean"
"I'm going to be honest, I really don't know" David replied with
Nightfall soon came after the introduction, the Princess was about to get undressed to go to bed until
"DRAGON!!!" A guard yelled outside.
The Princess opened her window to see fire running across the sky. The fire lit up the entire kingdom, as a loud sound was heard

(No the dragon is not clover field, I just wanted it to sound like Clover, probably the creepiest and unknown thing)
From the sky cams a giant plume of fire, engulfing some of the kingdom in flames.
"ALICIA OPEN UP, WE HAVE TO GET YOU TO SAFETY" David screamed through the door. The roar could be heard again and the flames crackling through the sky became louder. David kicked the door open
"Do you have no decency" She said in shock
"Sorry Alicia, but we have to move" David said picking her up
The guards outside were using their bows and cannons to bring down the Dragon, but were immediately engulfed in flames.  The King met up with David
"David you must protect my daughter at all costs" The King said
"I understand, but what about you" David asked
"I will only slow you down" The King said
"Where do I take her" David asked
"There's a safe house 10 miles north of here, no one will be able to find you" The King said
"Yes sir" David said
David put the princess on his horse. Right when he started moving and running through the burning kingdom, kids were crying on the ground, covered in ash, burned corpses, the flames getting higher and higher.
When the two left the kingdom, a giant beast landed in front of them. David and the Princess were knocked off the horse, they looked up to see a black dragon, with cracks of red and orange on its body. It's eyes filled with rage and glowing. It bent its head down to us
"Revak Rahgot" The beast said
"You.....I've read about you......a Dragon of death itself.....Fal Dro Kin" David said in shock
The Dragon looked at Alicia and it's eyes filled with anger. It roared as it went on its hind legs and slammed into the ground. It then roared as it grabbed Alicia.
"DAVID!!!" She screamed
David got up from that hit and saw her.
"ALICIA!!!" David screamed back.
He ran to the dragon, but was pushed back as it  let off a massive air current and took off.
"DAVID" Alicia screamed
"NO!!!" David said in despair, he failed his king
In the distance a scream could be heard from her followed by a loud roar
