Roughly ten years after the Behemoth's defeat.

Riley was a gentle young woman with beautiful blonde hair, golden amber eyes, and skin practically as pale as milk with very few light freckles dotting her cheeks. She was 20 years old and lived alone in a small apartment, outside of Reach, with her pet snake, Jasper.

But after a particularly odd and stressful day, the last thing she expected was to see King Valerius and King Caden standing at her doorstep.

Riley's pov:

Today was King Valerius' and King Caden's Wedding Anniversary. The whole world, especially the capital city of Reach was celebrating this beautiful day of the first dragon shifter couple to be married. Sure, they were already mates, but this just made things official.

On my way to "Silver Hill's Daycare"

Silver Hill was a decent sized town about 45 miles west from the capital city of Reach. It was mostly surrounded by farmland and a few patchy forests, but otherwise, the town was almost big enough to be a small city.

Buuuut... because today was kind of an unofficial holiday, all the parents decided to take the day off and bring their children to the daycare so they can party like it's their anniversary.

The Daycare was a neat and modern building nestled between an elementary school and a post office. As soon as i walked in. The whole place was hectic! There's double the amount of children and almost half of the usual staff. How we were still operating was beyond me- staff were running up and down the halls, the front desk was being bombarded with phone calls from the other rooms.

Our Manager, Mrs. Gretal, was an older woman.

"Riley- we need you to go to preschool room 12 for Gabe and Rebecca's breaks and then go to Toddlers and cover Jeremiah and Cathy-"

Today was going to be a long day...
