Chapter Sixteen

"Dammit!" Lucy shrieked, kicking a small stone with her dark blue boots. She wore a navy blue, long sleeve jumpsuit. Over the jumpsuit, she wore a navy blue, long, soft leather jacket. Down her legs were four thick silver bands with another fours bands down her arms, then she had two other silver bands. One around her waist and another around her neck. Her hair was pulled in a high ponytail, as her covered hand played with the part of the jumpsuit that would be pulled over her mouth and nose.
"I thought you said you'd be 'fine'?" Phobeus teased with a cocky smile playing on his lips. He wore something plain and more casual than Lucy as he always did. Dark jeans and a black long sleeve with a dark olive trench coat and dark brown shoes.
"Shut up," Lucy pointed at him, her voice dark, "You don't understand what I am going through."
"There's no way I could understand, I'm just tagging along cause I have nothing better to do," he spoke in a dull tone, walking past her, "But I do know that if you don't control those emotions, you could really injure yourself or others, maybe kill."
Lucy only nodded, sitting down on a large rock, looking out over the cliff they were on, looking out over the town of Magnolia. The place she had been hoping to run from.
"Jay said he'd go after the iron dragon slayer," Phobeus stated.
"I still am against this, capturing old guildmates and forcing them to power a relic..." Lucy sighed.
"But we are running out of time to figure out something else," Phobeus stated, "I'll be after the sky dragon slayer, you got the fire one."
"Great," Lucy stood up, pulling the cloth she had been playing with apart of her jumpsuit over her mouth and nose.
"Make sure those bands stay on," Phobeus stated firmly, pointing at her, gesturing towards the many silver bands on her, "Layla said those were to keep your magic at bay."
"I know, good luck then, Wendy may look like a sweet young girl, but she's a strong mage," Lucy sighed, "Can't believe I'm warning you to give you a chance to kidnap a friend. I'll meet you and Jay back at the temporary base."

"Happy," Natsu called his exceed friend's name, gaining the blue feline's attention as they walked side by side down the road to their home. Natsu only sighed, looking grim.
"We'll find Lushie," Happy assured.

Natsu shook his head, "That's not what I'm worried about," he stated, "I'm worried about what she's getting into."
Happy lowered his gaze, "Whatever it is, I have a bad feeling about it."
Natsu suddenly stopped in his tracks, looking up. As if hearing something, or getting a scent of something familiar, or feeling a strong presence. Whatever it was, got his attention quick as he scooped up happy as he rolled forward just as something made an impact to the ground where he had been standing just a second ago. Debris flew up, blinding him and Happy until it slowly cleared.

Natsu stood up quick, happy flying next to him. A woman stood in front of them, staring at them with a distant look with her golden hazel eyes.
"Who are-"

"Lucy," Natsu interrupted Happy, his eyes widening, "I thought you were leaving Fiore."
"Lushie?" Happy questioned as he glanced at Natsu then back to the woman.
"I forgot something," she stated, her voice devoided of emotion. She rose up her hand, a golden ball of light hovered just above her palm as she held it up as if to offer it to them.

Natsu's hand's burst on fire, knowing whatever she had forgotten, they'd end up having to fight, and she wouldn't listen to him no matter what he said.
"Lushie," Happy called her name lightly, starting to get scared for the fight that was about to happen.
Lucy dropped her arm, but the golden ball still hovered. Until it shot forward towards Natsu and Happy, exploding between them in a blinding light and giving off an extreme heat. The light faded, but before Natsu or Happy could look up to see where Lucy was, Lucy kicked Natsu's stomach, making him fly backward, hitting his back against the stone ground making him cough as he pushed himself to sit up.
"Don't make this harder for me," Lucy spoke. Natsu looked up at her, eyes wide as he saw her holding Happy and another golden ball hovering over her palm.
"I don't even know what you want!" Natsu yelled, frustrated. Everything was too sudden, what was he suppose to do. Everything was so unexpected.
"You," Lucy stated bluntly, "I came to take you."
Natsu was taken aback, speechless as he looked up at her, "Why?" he asked.

"I can't tell you."
"Then screw me going with you!" Natsu stood up. Lucy lifted up the scared Happy, holding the golden ball close to his feet.
"You won't hurt him."

"It's been five years, you don't know me as you once did," Lucy stated, the golden ball getting bigger, "If I have to hurt Happy for you to come with me, I will."
"Hot Hot," Happy whimpered, trying to get away from the golden ball as if it'd touch him, he'd burn.
"Fine!" Natsu blurted out, she quickly closed her hand, evaporating the golden ball into a golden smoke, falling slowly from her hand.

"Then let us be off," Lucy let go of Happy, but a golden transparent ball formed around him, trapping him.
"Lucy-!"

"I said I wouldn't hurt him, I never said I wouldn't bring him with us just in case you try to run or something," Lucy stated, a sharp thud sprang to her ears. She looked down to see one of the silver bands had fallen onto the stone ground making her eyes widen. She lifted her hands towards Natsu, trapping him in a golden transparent sphere just as she had done with Happy.
She stretched her arms as her clothes over her back ripped as golden dragon-like wings tore from her back as she let out a pained gasp.
"Wings..." Natsu's eye widened more as his golden sphere began to move upward as he watched Lucy begin to fly with her golden wings all in a golden haze from within the sphere.
He questioned what other surprises awaited him and Happy as Lucy took them.
