Ren The Prince 🔱
Name: Ren Li
Age: 46 Years Old {Keep in mind that he is an Elf}
Gender: Male {He/Him}
Sexuality: Gay {Very Closeted}
Looks: Ren is a 5'9" elvish prince{eventually receives title of king}, being the only heir to his father's throne. He was born with albinism{People with albinism usually have blue eyes, I gave him red eyes for a more dramatic appearance}.
Clothes:
His clothes do vary, though his outfits will often include a sash around the waist. He typically wears a kimono style tunic, a sash across the waist, harem style pants, and dark gray leather boots. During special occasions, Ren will wear a men's kimono. Ren does have certain preferences when it comes to color. Ren's clothes usually are red and black, though other color combinations include: purple and gold, white and red, blue and silver, etc.
For his harem style pants, there isn't much variation in color. His pants are usually black, navy blue, or dark brown.
In terms of shoes, there is also little variation. He wears the usual dark gray boots for traveling and general outdoor activities. For more formal events, he'll wear more traditional shoes.
The clothes in which he wears will change depending on the season or area, but his color choices will remain present.
Personality:
Ren is a hard working prince who constantly seeks approval and validation from not only his father, but his people, friends, and others. He frequently overworks himself though, just to try and meet his father's expectations, and yet it is not enough, it's never enough. So, Ren pushes himself to work harder at a constant. Who knows how long it will take before he reaches his breaking point.
Ren will seem closed off at first. He's closed himself off to avoid forming bonds with others, but his cold exterior is fragile, and is easy to break through. At first, it may not seem worth trying to form a friendship with Ren, but if one tries just hard enough, they can form a strong bond and friendship with the prince. Forming that friendship can also result in the gaining of an ally, especially when it comes to war or battles or attacks.
On the battlefield, he can be considered a decent fighter. He's been involved in a war, and was sent out on the battlefield at the age of 41, returning to his home at the age of 45. Fighting is the result of his facial scars.
Ren will not pursue romantic relationships until he has reached the age of 40. When he does decide to pursue a romantic relationship with someone, he will do so with caution, and the relationship will have to remain secret due to his father's disapproval. The secrecy of a romantic relationship will be ridded of when Ren finally becomes king, and that in itself can take some time. If secrecy isn't favored by his lover, Ren will be open to the idea of eloping.
Likes:
Ren has developed a liking for Flamberge swords, and often uses that type of sword in battle.
He also enjoys dancing, but would no longer do so past the age of 40, despite still wanting to dance. However, Ren is able to be convinced to dance when he is out of sight of his father.
Ren enjoys racing on dragons. Races are held yearly in all sorts of different areas.
He likes guys, but never addresses it publicly due to his father's strong disapproval of it.
Some other small things.
Dislikes:
His father. Their relationship had hit rock bottom when Ren turned 18.
Women. Well okay he doesn't dislike women, he just doesn't find them attractive and any advances towards him by women go unnoticed, or if it's incredibly obvious romantic advances- Ren will tell them off.
Being out in the sun for long periods of time. He can get sunburnt really easily, especially on hot summer days. Even if he's wearing the appropriate attire for such days, he is always at risk of sunburn.
Some other small things.
Other:
He is the owner of Phoenix, a wyvern. She can be found on the page titled 'Phoenix The Wyvern'. Any backstory info will be addressed in roleplay.
Scenario One: {Character must be royalty. Character must be between ages 18 to 20.}
This scenario focuses on: Development of a relationship, potential learning of self-acceptance, etc.
You were invited to a royal gathering by a neighboring kingdom. All you knew about the royal family of the kingdom that was hosting this gathering was that there was some drama that occurred between the father and son. Your family would accept the invitation to the gathering, as it provided old friends to catch up on things that have happened.
A few days prior to the gathering, you and your family would travel across land by horse-drawn carriages in order to get to the gathering on time. Your family succeeded, of course. You've brought along some of your belongings, same was done by your parents. This gathering was something that would last a few weeks at most, so you've packed the things you perceived as necessities.
Your family reached this kingdom's palace, where you'd be staying. Upon entering, you and your family would be guided by servants to the throne room. Your parents would discuss things with the ruler of this kingdom, while you on the other hand were to be shown to your room by the prince.
And so you were led away by the prince, who was notably quiet the entire duration of the walk to where you'd be staying. The prince would soon stop and gesture to a room before saying, "That is where you shall stay. My room is just further down this hallway, a few rooms away from your own."
With that said, the prince would then ask, "Do.. you need help unpacking?"
Well then, did you need help?
Scenario Two: {Character can be anything, so long as one is humanoid. Character can be any age, you decide.}
This scenario focuses on: The formation of a friendship through shared interests, etc.
There is a yearly dragon race that everyone looks forward to, or at least everyone who has a rideable dragon, that is. People from all areas would sign up for this race, including you. Of course, only a limited amount of contestants would be allowed to participate in the race.
There was three races that all led up to a final race.
The first races would take place in each person's hometown, to determine who would go on to the second race. You won with surprising ease.
The second race, aka the semi-finals race would each take place in specific terrains owned by your ruler. The number of winners for this race was incredibly limited, so it was surprising that you also won this race.
Now, you were onto the final race. This race would take place in (area of choice). And it turns out that there was some special guests who'd partake in that race. You learned that a total of six royal heirs would participate in the race, all of which came from many different areas.
Before the big race came around, all of the riders would be staying for a week at the castle closest to where the race would take place. You were invited to stay at that palace, and you gratefully accepted.
A sort of feast had been prepared that evening for all riders. Everyone was happily chatting with one another about the race, and who might win. Well, everyone besides this single elvish prince, who just sat there and ate in silence.
Would you engage in a conversation with him?
