Chapter 8

The massive wind had stopped a few moments later. I got scared at the thought of Gust being killed. I ran to check to see if Gust was ok when Zephyr poked me with his tail.
"Gust is probably alive. He will catch up." Zephyr said. We decided to continue on are way to the village. Thoughts of Gust being hurt pledged my mind. The wind just randomly stopped after all. We were now in a forest when a shadow covered us. We stopped in our tracks to look at it. Since most of the sunlight was covered by trees it was hard to identify this mysterious dragon. He leaped toward me tacking me.
"Ahhhhhhh!" I screamed.
"Calm down Hagon! It was just a joke!" Gust panicked. I got up. I glared at Gust giving the message I wasn't in the mood for a joke. He understood and nodded.
"Sorry." Gust groaned. The three of us continued down our path in the woods when another freaking shadow appeared. I looked for Gust hopping he didn't play another prank. He was right next to me.
"Zephyr! Where the heck did you go to?!" The shadow yelled. The dragon knew Zephyr.
"The great Zephyr was getting the water just like you asked." Zephyr responded.
"I don't see any water...and who are these two." The shadow asked.
"These two are dragons that the great, awesome, handsome Zephyr helped." Zephyr responded. I was more shocked the mysterious dragon wasn't annoyed at Zephyr's swagger.
"I thought it was just us two no outside threats?" The figure asked.
"Actually we are here to stop the evil..." I flicked my chaws at Gust before he could finish.
"Zephyr's creepy friend. I was hoping you and Zephyr could join our group." I said while feeling creeped out.
"Sorry but me and Zephyr are a team of two. We don't except outsiders." The mysterious dragon responded.
"Who is this dragon anyways?" Gust asked.
"Zephyr's friends name is Typhoon." Zephyr responded. Typhoon must have heard us because he jumped from a perch he was on. I got see him finally. He was scary. His wings were all covered up with feathers. He also had his tail covered with feathers. His face also resembled a bird. He arguably looked more like a bird than a dragon. All I have to say is that was some unique looking armor. His scales were purple meaning he was another wind dragon. He glared at me. His glare was nothing I ever witnessed. It was scary enough to petrify me in fear.
"Please just let Zephyr bring these two to the nearest village. They're really eager to find a shop." Zephyr begged.
"Fine. I'm coming though." Typhoon responded. The four of us continued deeper into the forest. I have to say once he joined us Typhoon became a lot less creepy. He did glare anymore and he mainly just talked to Zephyr the who way through the trip. This gave me more opportunity to talk to Gust more. We mainly just talked about the gems I was about to buy.
"Do you have gold?" Gust asked.
"Nope." I responded.
"Your going to need some if you want by any gems." Gust informed.
"Do you have any?" I asked.
"Very little. Only enough to by a very small stone carving." Gust responded. I asked Typhoon and Zephyr if they had any. They didn't. This made me really stressed because getting to the city would've felt like a waste of time. We were trying to think of ideas of how to gain gold in the meantime. Typhoon suggested stealing from another dragon but we quickly turned that down because we were heroes and not thieves. Zephyr though of selling his ring collection but his collection large and I didn't feel like taking away his hard work on myself. I thought of digging holes to find gold but I didn't want to leave a bunch of random holes and freak someone out. Besides I also didn't want a dragon like Gust to do an activity the forced you use your paws. Gust decided he would fly over to his house and check his cave. I was scared to let Gust go on his own but I let him knowing he was the best flier the sky had to offer. Gust flew off while we all decided to tell each other about our backstories. Me and Gust went first. Then it was time to hear about Zephyr and Typhoon.
"The great, awesome, handsome, magnificent Zephyr hails from a species of dragons with six wings. I lived a perfect life." Zephyr said.
"Isn't there no such thing as perfect?" Gust questioned.
"Shut up!" Typhoon screamed.
"Anyways, It was one day when human hunters learned about Zephyr's tribe and started kill us. We moved away but Zephyr was left all alone. Zephyr decided to gain a hobby to keep the great Zephyr's mind off his loneliness. Witch is where Zephyr's ring obsession comes in." Zephyr explained.
"That's why you wear rings." I realized. Gust nodded realizing to.
"What about you Typhoon?" I asked.
"I don't want to talk about it." Typhoon growled.
"Why not?" Gust asked.
"Are you ok?" I also asked.
"YES I'M FINE!" Typhoon squealed at us. "Please tell us. Please..." Zephyr begged. "FINE!" Typhoon screamed.
"To put thing simply, My family hates me and I hate them." Typhoon explained.
"That's it?" I asked.
"What about that awesome bird armor your wearing?" Gust asked.
"Fine I'll continue." Typhoon groaned.
"After I left my family, I moved in with a family of birds. They all looked free and had no problems in their lives unlike me. I built myself into a bird and flew with them trying to forget I'm a dragon. Of course no one took me seriously except one dragon. Zephyr. And that's how I met Zephyr." Typhoon explained.
"Don't worry Typhoon. You part of the team now. We promise not to make fun of you." I responded.
"Thanks." Typhoon sighed.
