Chapter 4
I have to say that Haywire was very quick. He easily disappeared into the distance and lost Hurricane. Hurricane decided to chase after us. Me and Gust tried running away. But Gust was also quick. He wasn't joking on his flying speed either. That's when he noticed my purple scales.
"Who are you?" Gust asked.
"Hagon. I forgot to tell you something Gust." I responded.
"What is it? And why are you purple?!" Gust asked.
"It's a ability I was given. It's whenever I touch a gem I gain that gems element. I'm using a purple gem right now." I explained.
"That is SO cool! Your officially the coolest dragon ever!" Gust cheered excitingly.
"Thanks friend." I responded smiling. However Hurricane was still quicker than me and was catching up quickly. I had no choice. I decided to distract her while Gust escaped. I blew gusts of wind from my wings pushing her back. Hurricane spun around in a circle creating a tornado. This scared me as I felt like I was getting sucked it. I flapped my wings as hard as I could before I felt like the wind was to strong and I got sucked in the tornado. Hurricane was still circling around creating the tornado bigger in hopes Gust would also get sucked in. Haywire was already busy with Hurricane's gang so he couldn't help. I didn't even know where Gust was. I guessed he flew towards the land to escape but boy was I wrong. He darted at Hurricane.
"Leave my friends alone!" He said knocking into her.
"Agh! Dang it you idiot!" Hurricane screamed as she lost control and also getting sucked in. I instantly was greeted with her glare.
"Well look who I'm trapped with. Gust's wired chameleon." Hurricane said continuing to mock me.
"Leave Gust alone!" I screamed. This was the first time I felt genuine anger build up. If I didn't stop her she would kill me and go off to kill Gust.
"Ooh. He is angry." Hurricane said smirking. I couldn't take it anymore. I darted towards her only to miss and get hit with a rock the tornado sucked up. I felt a genuine wound form on my face. I could even see blood. Hurricane flapped her wings to push back into the rock. It worked. I felt like I was glued to the rock. I tried to move but I felt like I was scraping my back. That's when I remembered Sprocket had told me something about elemental advantages. Each element of dragons had a strength and a weakness. Wind oddly enough was weak to Metal. Sprocket told me a trick to remember it. The weapons Metal Dragons used came from blacksmiths who would forge the weapons. Whenever a weapon was being forged, black smoke would appear. I got out my orange gem and I felt the rest of my gems fall out of my sack as well.
"Ugh." I grunted holding the Orange gem. I decided to forget the rest of the gems. I could probably find dragons who carried them since I heard from Shock they were a best seller around the lands. As a metal dragon I felt my flames become smoke. This was weird but the black smoke bothered Hurricane.
"What the? How did you know my weakness? I hate black smoke!" She cried. I shot more at her as she tried escaping even though she couldn't. I realized I made a mistake and the tornado grew black colored. Hurricane started to choke. She let out a nasty cough and I landed on the rock once again and closed my eyes. I hoped this would end soon.
