Chapter 13
Sub-Zero was left. Zero and Scorpion vanished into the nighttime sky.
"Your teammate is one creepy mess of a dragon." Sub-Zero said.
"I know. And that's why you don't screw with me or my team." Leaf responded.
"That doesn't mean I'm going to quit trying to kill you." Sub-Zero said. Floating over the trip wire Leaf placed.
"Swords are weak to lances. Anyone know how to use a lance or have one?" Typhoon asked. "No." Everyone responded.
"Guess we need to build one." Typhoon said holding a long stick.
I waited on Gust to wake up and he didn't. Whatever was in that arrow must really be strong. That didn't stop me from guarding my best friend however.
Leaf jumped back but Sub-Zero was to quick and swiped at Leaf leaving a nasty wound.
"I need help!" Leaf commanded.
"On it!" Firefly responded tossing a fireball at Sub-Zero. Fire was strong against Ice so this had to hurt. Sub-Zero however countered it. "Keep the attack up. He can't counter that many fireballs at on time." Leaf commanded. "Ok. I don't have to many left." Firefly responded. He threw two fireballs at Sub-Zero. He jumped away. He was simply to quick for the fireballs to hit.
"Don't waste your amo." Typhoon said.
"Use them!" Leaf commanded.
"Why should he use his last amo?" Typhoon asked.
"Because it will create a distraction." Leaf responded.
"I know Firefly. Without his fireball weapons he is pathetic." Typhoon said.
"Your not the leader here." Leaf said.
"Neither are you." Typhoon said.
"Hagon told me to lead!" Leaf yelled.
"Knock it off you two!" Firefly yelled.
I shook Gust and he STILL didn't wake up. I thought he died but he was still breathing. I wanted to blow smoke at him but I didn't want to kill him. I dragged Gust into Zero's cage and closed the gate. He was safe. I flew over to see Typhoon, Firefly and Leaf arguing.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"We are debating whether Firefly should use the last of his amo or not." Typhoon explained. "I think he should!" Leaf yelled.
"I think he shouldn't!" Typhoon also yelled.
"I can do whatever I want!" Firefly said.
"We all fight together!" I said.
"Also I'm leading again. Thanks Leaf for being a good leader." I said. The four of us turned to Sub-Zero who was now asleep.
"I guess not fighting tired him out." Firefly laughed.
"Oh the irony." Typhoon also laughed.
"Let's go." Leaf said running deeper into the forest. I saw Zephyr and Crystal following. Funny enough I didn't see them fight. I guess they were busy talking or something.
"Wait Zephyr!" Typhoon yelled following them. Firefly followed them. I followed them. I needed some rest. After all how many fights have we done so far? I feel to tired to read all the chapters to find out how many.
"We should build a camp." I suggested.
"Didn't we just rest three chapters ago?" Crystal asked.
"The village is within a few miles anyways." Leaf said.
"Fine." I sighed. Within three minutes we reached the town. It actually looked like a town humans made but housed dragons.
"Welcome." A guard told us. He was a water dragon with a axe. This was definitely a village with dragons following Excalibur. He looked at us again and held out his axe blocking the path. "Why are you bringing dragons aided with Nebula?" The guard asked.
"We are all neutral now. We are trying to stop Darka." Leaf responded.
"Arn't you one of us?" The guard questioned. "Yes. But I was fired. I'm with them now." Leaf responded. Judging his face expression I knew he regretted saying anything that he was fired. "Fool! Never return then." The guard replied. "Can you just let us stay one day at least?" Crystal asked.
"Unless you use a weapon and wear armor you are not allowed." The guard replied.
"I promise we're neutral." I said.
"How do we know your not with Nebula since all of you don't have weapons?" The guard asked.
"I promise. I was sent by the elders to stop Darka." I responded. He looked at the sky and then at us.
"Fine. Only a day and we are getting guards to watch you just incase you try anything suspicious." He responded. I sighed but thanked him.
"However Leaf can't join." The guard said. "What?!" Leaf said. He walked back into the forest. Two guards surrounded each individual dragon. This was annoying but I decided to just focus on getting some rest. We followed the guard to a building that was odd looking. It looked like a bunch of cages lined up with each other.
"What is this place?" I asked.
"It's a stable. You each will go in a cage until it's time to morning." The guard answered. We each went into individual pens. Crystal looked nervous as all heck. Being a female she wasn't use to sleeping with a room full of males. I felt bad for her. That's when I reliase something. I forgot to unlock the cage for Gust.
