Lucy's pov

A piercing whistle screamed in my ears. I shot my head up to be met with strong winds. Instantly I ducked down, underneath me was warm. I opened my eyes once again to see Natsu's red scales. I looked around to see us high in the sky, the other dragons were flying around us. We were flying fast, faster than ever before. My long hair was out and was flying everywhere. Natsu! What's going on? Why are we flying so fast?  We are getting you to safety. He simply answered. And that would be where?  The safe home we built for emergencies. Why are we flying so fast?  In case they are following us. Juvia and Grey are behind making sure they won't follow. Don't worry, we are almost there, rest you used almost all your magic.

I couldn't rest, father was gone. Michelle.... what happened to her? The dragons obviously knew I was of royal blood, but do they want me as a queen. They must feel as if they have to protect me. I can't make them feel that, they deserve to be free from all of this Nisa aura stuff. Natsu finally started to slow down and descend. When he dropped to the ground, he then crouched allowing me to slip off his back. When my feet touched the ground and I was firmly on my feet Natsu transformed into his human version. There was a tear in his shirt and jacket, I could see the crimson blood seeping down. "Natsu! You're injured!" I ran over to him to inspect the wound. "Its nothing I'm fine." He grunted. "You are most certainly not fine. You are losing a lot of blood. Here, hold still." I placed my hands on him and concentrated on his wound. "Lucy, no you're too weak. I'm fine, really, don't waste your strength on me." He pleaded, but it was in vain I had already healed his wound.

My knees were beginning to buckle as I felt my head spin. Natsu quickly wrapped his arms around me. The other dragons were landing and were transforming into their human forms. "Lu-chan! Are you okay?" Levy ran up to us. I nod my head but felt sleep creeping to me, I was not going to fall asleep. "Let's get her inside and laid her down." Laxus said. Natsu picked me up bridal style again and walked carefully to the house. It was a two story stone on the bottom, but strong wood up to higher levels. There were windows all around and a furnace.

When we entered through a door I presume it was the back door as we were in the kitchen. Natsu walked through it to the living room, it was a lower level, two steps lower, then there were three couches with a coffee table in the middle. There two smaller tables between the three couches that made an almost complete box shape. In front of the couches was a fireplace. The steps were to the left of the living room and a dining room to the right. Natsu walked over to the main couch and laid me on top. Wendy came running over to me, she checked to make sure I had no injuries. Natsu walked over to the fireplace he then lit his fist and shot a fireball at it making a large flame that was spreading warmth in the house.

The other dragons were all around, Mira and Laxus were sitting on one of the couches along with Erza. Juvia was sitting next to Grey on the other couch. Wendy sat on the floor in front of me and Levy sat at my feet. Gajeel was standing behind the couch by Levy while Natsu was standing also behind the couch but closer to me. "What happened after I fell asleep?" I asked. "Natsu carried you out. We fought with a few more dragons, but when we were out of the mountain we transformed and flew away as fast as we could." Grey answered. I looked at all of them, they were all looking at me with concern. "Is anyone injured?" I asked. "Not really, just that cut on Natsu-san really, but I did heal some of the others." Wendy said. I nod my hand, then laid it back down on the pillow.

How can I face them now? Michelle wants them for her army. If I stay she can try to track me, they are all in danger as long as I am here. Not to mention if they don't want a queen... I have to leave them either way. I sigh, then started to get up. "What are you doing? You are still weak." Wendy said. "I'm leaving. You all are in danger as long as I am with you, Michelle can track me by searching for my aura." I said. "So?" Gajeel asked. "So, I am not putting your lives in danger. I can lead her somewhere else why you find a way to either stop her or evade her." I answered.

I stood up, wobbled a little, but regained my balance quickly. I walked around the couches and headed to the door. I saw my stuff on the counter, but I was stopped by Natsu. He stood in front of me full height I had to crane my neck to look him in the eyes. His arms were crossed over his chest. "We don't care if Michelle is gonna try to come after us." He said. I looked away and at the ground. "Either way, I can't do this to you guys." I whispered. "Do what?" He asked, "Treat you like slaves. I don't want you to feel like you have to obey me, you can't help it. Now that you know I have royal blood you will treat me like a Nisa. Because it's in your instinct, I am not going to make you feel like that. I want you to be free, after what my father did. Why would you want a new queen? You deserve to be free, the only way you can be free is if I leave you completely. It will hurt at first, but you will get used to it and eventually forget me. I am not going to make you into slaves or pets, but I already have." I whispered the last part.

Tears were breaking through and fall down my cheek. Stay with them, protect them, lead them. They need their Nisa. I could hear my self conscious say.  I push those thoughts away, they need to be free.  I stepped to walk around Natsu only for him to step with me. When I met his eyes, they were stone cold, he had his mask on again. "Natsu, let me through." I said. "No." Natsu said, his voice was deeper and more husky. I knew that he was letting out his aura and was going into alpha mode. From the corner of my vision I could see Wendy and Levy hiding behind Gajeel. He was sweating a little, but was trying to keep himself calm. "I have to do this Natsu. Let me through." I said, looking straight in his eyes.

They were now glowing red and his canines were elongating.  Why does he have to be so tall?  If I was a little taller I could look a little more  intimidating. Natsu continued to stare in my eyes. "Leave us." He commanded. All of the dragons instantly were out of the house, not wanting to anger Natsu. "You are not leaving us. We don't care if Michelle comes after us, we will protect you. We do not feel as if you will make us like slaves. Time and time again you have given your safety to protect us, you did not reveal yourself to us who you were. If you did, then the whole guild would treat you like a Nisa. The dragon world needs their Nisa back, the elements have been battling each other." I gasp. "How many dragons have died? How long has the battling been going? Is there any way to stop it?" I was frantic, the dragons cannot be battling each other. I can see that dream again, all the young dragons scared and needing their mother. "Not a physical battle, but that is near in the future. No, they just continue to debate and they can't get it through their thick skulls to unite. Each side thinks they are better, that is why we need you back, you see all dragons as special and equal...even yourself. We need you back." He stepped closer to me, we were mere inches apart.

He leaned down, his head went to the crook of my neck. "I need you." He whispered I shuddered. "Lucy, please..show me your dragon aura. Stop hiding." He pleaded. He looked me in the eyes. There was no way I was getting out of this. "If I stop trying to cover my aura, every dragon who is near will sense it. Not to mention Michelle can sense me easier." I whispered. "Let them come. I will protect you with my life." He said, staring into my eyes, he then grabbed my hand. I sigh then focused on my shield that I have had up. Finally showing my dragon aura. I instantly felt sparks where Natsu's hand was travelling up my arm. I could smell him with my enhanced nose, and let me just say he smelt amazing.

It was intoxicating, the smell of cinnamon and burning wood. "Mate." Natsu growled, I gasp and look up at him. His eyes were glowing red, they held protectiveness, love, longing, and....lust? Natsu then moved fast, his left arm was around my waist while his right hand was buried through my hair. His head was in the crook of my neck sniffing my scent. My hands reacted quick too, they around his waist and playing with his hair. "I can't believe I've found you." He whispered, he was still inhaling my scent. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I was scared I wouldn't find my mate. You probably know, but alpha dragons can lose themselves to their anger only their mates can calm them down." Natsu said.

"So I guess there is no way I'm getting out of here." I said. He growled and held me tighter and kissed my neck, it felt like fire when his lips touched my neck. I wanted to kiss him badly, I could already feel the mate pull between us. But of course I ruined the moment with a yawn, I was still very weak from that battle. Natsu laughed, then picked me up once again. He then walked up the stairs, down the hall to a bedroom. The room was a deep red with wood furniture. The bed was red also with black sheets, it had a nightstand on each side. The dressers were against the walls and two doors were along the far wall. Natsu then pulled the blankets aside to lay me down, he pulled off my shoes along with his own then laid beside me. He pulled me to his chest, my head was on his chest, listening to his heartbeat while my arm was draped over him. His arm was around my waist as he held me close to him. Oh yeah, there is no way I could escape him. After all dragons are passive, but alphas are 10 times worse. I close my eyes and allow the much needed sleep.
