Hiccup

I was afraid of what happened. I was going to do something I didn't want to do. Kill a dragon. I saw my father beaming with pride as Gothi announces that I am chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare in front of the whole village. "Great, this day just gotten worse." I thought. As Dad came down, he said, "This is great! You are on your way of becoming one of us! Isn't this exciting, Hiccup?" I said, sarcastically, "Yeah, it's great, Dad..." He looks at me with a confused look. "Are you all right? You seem to be a little worried about something." I didn't want him to know about Toothless, my Night Fury. I said quickly , "No, everything is fine, Dad! You don't have to be worried about me, I'll be fine, I hope." Dad said, "Ah, don't worry about it, Son. You know, let me tell you a little secret. I was afraid too, when I had to kill my first dragon in front of the whole village." I looked at him with surprise look. "You?" I couldn't believe it, my father, the Chief of Berk, was scared of killing his first dragon? I faked a yawn, "I'm going to bed." Dad said, making things awkward, "Yeah, me too, Um, see you tomorrow." He accidentally knocks some of my inventions outside and I sighed in relief that he was gone.

Stoick

I was happy that Hiccup gets to kill the beast in front of the whole village. Maybe this is the perfect for us to bond as father and son, instead of being his Chief. I walked to my house and I saw the picture of Valka. Hiccup never knew his mother, but I can see the personality of her in him. I missed Valka so much. I wished that dragon didn't take her, she missed so much of Hiccup's life and I hope that Hiccup would understand one day that the reason that I'm being so hard on him, is because that I don't want to lose him, just like Val.
