(Old) Introduction

The books no longer have the following information at the beginning of the books, but they are here for those who want to re-read it!

Welcome to a land where humans never existed, and in their place are dragons, elves, trolls, fairies, and other magical creatures. Dragon are the most intelligent, and therefore are the superior species.
Over time, dragon-kind has evolved to become something more sophisticated. They established kingdoms ruling over their whole world. Inside those kingdoms (similar to our countries), there are individual lands (much like our states).

Now, dragon society works like this: Each land has a royal family. One of these royal families are also the ruler of the entire kingdom. They are the Supreme King/Queen (you may think of like a president). All the royal families must obey the Supreme Royalty.
Unfortunately, dragon-kind strongly dislikes Queens ruling, favoring Kings instead. This leads to some conflict, and Queen rulers are rare. Often, the royal family in each land is headed by the male of the family.
I know this might be a tad confusing, so maybe naming these places will help in CHART FORM:

Four kingdoms (countries) :
     Sulona, Blatua, Raliu, and Sevni
Sulona's lands (states) :
     Tagonia, Vulcen, Ragni, Levigaur, Fluwit
Blatua's lands (states) :
Calif, Blitr, Denshir, Fentri
Raliu's lands (states) :
Haknu, Talig
Sevni's lands (states) :
Aenst, Itli, Niag, Motu

Our story takes place in Tagonia, Sulona. Therefore, the other kingdom's lands are not important in book one.

All dialogue in this story has been translated from the Dragon Language into English for you to understand. (Apologizes for those who don't read English well! ¡Lo siento... er... porque... Yo no hablo Español bueno!)

Oh and this is very important!

Dragons are mortal beings without any magical properties. They DO however have elements, which their physical abilities show, granting them unique gifts.

Example: a Metal Dragon can split molten, liquid metal instead of fire breath.
Example: a Rock Dragon has no special abilities, but are incredible strong & bulky.

Whenever a hatchling is hatched, they appear solid black and very plain. When they reach a certain age, they begin to show physically what element they are. The royal family sends someone to each den under their rule, and they evaluate what element a young dragon is and record it in the castle scrolls.

     MEGA IMPORTANT

While extremely uncommon, there have been a few situations where a hatchling is born with two elements.
     This. Is. Not. Good.
All dragons have feared the dreaded two element dragons, or Dark Dragons, as they say.
Dark dragons are evil and bad. At least that's what every dragon was taught to believe. They are all marked with a red symbol somewhere on their skin or head area.
Dragons are very religious, and each element has its own Dragon God. Most of the dragons fear multi-elementals because they feel they are unholy.
A few even go so far as to hunt them down...
