*3rd pov*

It was another day in yokai academy, and y/n and his classmates were in for a surprise from miss nekonome.

*Y/n's pov*

Shizuka: *cheerful smile* Okay everyone, it's time for you to join a club!

Y/n: A club, huh? *remembers three certain disgusting trash monsters and pummeling their asses*

Shizuka: *smile* The primary objective of this academy is to prepare our monster students for human society. So participating in these clubs, you'll learn to act just like humans, appreciate the arts they develop, and deepen your understanding of the human culture.

Y/n: *have head laying down on desk* 'Pop's did say that he had mom help him sort out the more difficult aspects of becoming human, especially getting an actual social security number. I wonder how she did that?'

Shizuka: *uses her pointing stick and tap on the board* Now in order for your transformation to the human form to be perfect you have to have a firm grasp of human themselves. *strict smile* And always remember this, you must never reveal your monster form no matter what! *unconsciously summons her tail*

Y/n: *slightly sweatdrop* Excuse me, miss nekonome. Your tail is out.

Shizuka: *notices her tail, realizes* Oh my! Silly me, *looks at me, loving smile* thank you for telling me y/n!

Male students: *glares* 'YOU LUCKY BASTARD!!!'

Y/n: *sighs* Good grief.

Shizuka: *smile* Make sure to visit a lot of groups and decide which one you want to enter! Be sure to visit the newspaper club that I'm the advisor for, okay!!

*Club Festival*

After class, my classmates and I left the school and joined up with the first years and went to the club festival where clubs were recruiting new members.

Sakura then found me and decided to tag along.

Y/n: *surprised* Man, there's practically clubs I never heard of. *notices a bobsled club* 'Where the hell would you do bobsledding anyway?'

Sakura: *curious* Hey y/n, what group should we enter?

Y/n: 'I'm interested in the swimming club to build up my endurance to water, considering how one of my major issues with my dragon half is dealing with a heavy amount of water, and my folks putting me through several water training, and mostly because its a pain in the ass to use my fire when I'm doused…but *notices sakura still looking at me, sighs a bit* what a drag.' *small smile* How about browsing around, see what groups are interesting?

Sakura: *bright smile* Great idea y/n! *grabs my arm* Let's get going!

Sakura and I then went and checked out many groups, though while somewhat interesting, none of the groups we checked caught my curiosity.

Y/n: *sighs a bit* Isn't there one club that was slightly more decent, though that acupuncture club, looked interesting.

Sakura: *determined* There's definitely a club for us to join, we just have to keep looking! *blushes slightly* 'And when we do join together, I can learn more about you, y/n.'

Sakura and I then heard and saw many male students gathered around and we walked through them to see it was a swimming club and rows of female club members in bikinis. The one who I'm taking a good guess is the president of the club was also wearing a bikini as well. Her hair color was turquoise along with having yellow colored eyes.

Tamao: *soft smile* I'm the swimming club captain, tamao ichinose. Want to have a swim with my friends and I?

All the guys were practically excited seeing the bikini clad members and no doubt I imagined that this club will be seeing new members fast.

Tamao: *notices me, sultry smirk* 'My, my. I finally get to see you again, y/n l/n~.' At the moment, the club doesn't have any male members, so any boys that sign up will get plenty of personalized attention from us~. *does a small kiss gesture*

Y/n: *curious* It would be nice to do some swim practice again. *notices sakura holding onto her rosary nervously* But, we can skip this one if you want sakura.

Sakura: *appreciative smile* Thanks y/n.

Tamao: *looks at me, slight sultry smile* You can still join up, and don't worry, I'll take real good care of you, so what do you say?

Y/n: Sorry, but I'm not-

Sakura: *annoyed* We're both joining!

*Small timeskip*

Still confused on why sakura did that, I then got a spare swimsuit from one of the club members and after changing, safe to say I was definitely getting looked at by many of the female members and getting more jealous looks from the males. Great. And my body isn't even that muscular! Afterward, I dipped myself into the pool.

Y/n: *relaxes* 'The water is nice, *feels my fire getting lesser* and my fire is definitely getting simmered, but remember what pop said: break through your limits, break your weakness! *looks at sakura who was sitting at a small table and was not happy* I know about vampires and water, but why did sakura do it?'

Tamao: *smile* Ready to practice, y/n?

Y/n: *looks at tamao, small smile* Lead the way, senpai.

Tamao: *blushes slightly, smile* Please y/n, you can call me tamao.

Sakura: *growls while gnashing her teeth*

Tamao began to help me with my swim training and she definitely was the hands on approach method type, and while feeling her large breasts on my back, I made sure to not focus on it much.

Tamao: *smile* You're a fast learner, y/n. I've never seen someone taking my lessons well, like you.

Y/n: *small smile* I have a good teach.

Tamao: *blushes a little, smile* You're so cute y/n, It truly is wonderful for you to join us. 'Especially with me~.' *presses her chest on my back*

Y/n: *ignoring the sensation* 'Purge!'

Sakura: *extremely annoyed* That's enough! *looks at tamao* You stay away from y/n, I think he can handle himself well without you!

Tamao: *smile* You're acting as if you and him have known each your entire life, and while you're free to visit, this is still the swimming club, so if you're not going to swim and be only a spectator, then leave! *tries to splash some water on her*

I noticed some of the water about to hit sakura, so I used an air punch to deflect it, however a small drop still made it onto one of her shoes.

Y/n: *annoyed* 'Damn it!'

Sakura: *terrified* 'No, I have to get this water off!' *starts to run away from the pool* I'll be back y/n! I promise!

Y/n: *tries to catch up* Wait, sakura-

Kurumu: Yahoo! Hey y/n, I joined the swimming club too! Isn't that great!

*SPLASH!!*

I suddenly found my face covered by kurumu's crotch and splashed into the water with her. I resurfaced back up, and got my bearings.

Y/n: *shakes some water off from my hair* Good to see you kurumu.

Kurumu: *seductive smile* So what do you think of my swimsuit, hubby~.

I then got a good look at kurumu and was wearing a two-piece yellow bikini that hugged quite snugly around her chest.

Y/n: *blushes* 'Damn.' *shakes off blush, stutter* I-it looks good on you, kurumu.

Kurumu: *gushes* I'm so glad you like it y/n! I wasn't going to lose to sakura, and this outfit totally got her beat!

Y/n: *realizes* 'Wait. If kurumu is here, then wouldn't that mean-'

Yukari: *smile* And so did I! Hahaha!!!

*SPLASH!!*

I immediately found my face get covered by two soft "peaches" and get dunked into the water again.

Y/n: *resurfaced back up and shakes water of my head* 'I guess it would've happened one way or the other. *sighs a bit* What a drag.'

Yukari: *smile* What do you think of my swimsuit, y/n?

I then got a good look at yukari, and she wore a standard school swimsuit that snugged well onto her body.

(Imagine her older)

Yukari: *smile* Hey, y/n what do you think of my swimsuit?

Y/n: 'This is a thing now, isn't it?' *small smile* You look cute in it, yukari.

Yukari: *blushing smile* Thanks y/n! *chibi self victory dancing in thought* 'This growth spell is the best! As long as I can keep it up, y/n and I can be together, and miss bimbo and pinky will be left in the dust!'

Kurumu: *vein pulsing, annoyed* 'This BITCH!!!'

I then felt something soft on my left arm and saw that kurumu placed my arm ONTO HER CHEST?!

Kurumu: *rubbing her chest up and down my arm, seductive smile* So y/n, will you teach me how to swim?~ Please?~

Y/n: *tries to ignore the sensation* 'Ignore it! ignore it!' *blushing and stuttering* K-kurumu, c-could you quit it already!

Yukari: *annoyed* 'That bimbo is not going to get a head over me!'

While doing my best to ignore the sensation from kurumu, I suddenly found myself in a bit of a sticky situation when yukari was HUGGING THE OTHER HALF OF MY BODY?!?! WHY ME?!?!

Yukari: *smile* Y/n, I want you to teach me how to swim! *devious smile in thought* 'No way I'm letting this bimbo get y/n's heart first!'

Kurumu: *annoyed, pulls on my left side* I asked y/n first, so why don't you go find another instructor brat!

Yukari: *annoyed, pulls on my right side* I don't see your name written on him, so butt out and let my boyfriend teach me!

Kurumu: *angry* YOUR. NOT. TOGETHER!!!

Y/n: *feeling arms about to come off* 'How did my life come to this?!' Girls, can't we-

Tamao: *slightly strain smile* Y/n is already being teached by me, so why don't you two leave him alone and I can get some of my members to help you both. *determined in thought* 'These two will not stop me from being together with my adorable y/n!'

Kurumu and yukari then let go of me and stared a long hard look at tamao, and I could see lightning form between all three.

Y/n: *sighs* 'Good grief, a simple look around clubs *looks at the three staring down at each other* turns into this. *worry* I hope sakura is doing alright?'

*3rd pov*

*Somewhere in the school*

Somewhere in yokai academy, sakura walked a bit into a narrow alley, and sat down while sparks flew out a bit from where that small drop of water hit her.

Moka: *through the rosary, glowing* 'You're lucky that y/n blocked most of the water, you idiot!'

Sakura: *ashamed* 'I'm sorry.' *flinches a bit from the small shock*

Moka: 'It's good that he understands a vampire's weakness, but I sense that swim girl has plans for y/n, so stay on your guard.' *stops glowing*

Sakura: *worried* Y/n.

*Timeskip*

*Y/n's pov*

Few hours went by and now some kind of swim meet started up that only had the female classmates participating and the guys were eating it up, while that happened, I just focused on relaxing and meditating on the water.

Y/n: 'Can't say it hasn't been a boring day. *hears kurumu and yukari singing* Those two can definitely sing well.'

I then heard a horn and saw two large teams with yukari and kurumu leading was about to start and I decided to sit on the ledge of the pool while it became a water battle with bikini tops being taken off.

Y/n: *stretching* 'Ignoring the flying tops and innuendos, this is good training.'

Tamao: *soft smile* No one ever turns down sunshine, games, and beautiful girls in bikinis, you have to be one of the most strong-willed male I've ever met, y/n.

Y/n: *looks to see tamao, small smile* Oh hey tamao, I thought you would be in this competition.

Tamao: *small chuckle* I'm more of the free swimmer type. *side glances at kurumu and yukari, slight devious smirk* 'And those two getting distracted is all the better for me.' *looks back at me, small smile* Since you aren't too focused on the games, how about a calm swim with me?

Y/n: Well, I just got out of my swim training, *shrugs shoulders* but sure, why not.

Tamao: *smiles* Excellent! *grabs my arm*

Tamao and I then got into the water, and we started to do some gentle swimming together, but my mind was a bit somewhere else.

Tamao: *notices* Are you thinking about that vampire friend of yours?

Y/n: *scratches behind my head* Well…

Tamao: *gently places her hand on my face and makes me look at her, soft smile* How about you focus on me, instead?

Y/n: *slightly blushes* M-maybe we should focus on something else.

Tamao: *chuckles a little* You're quite a jokester aren't you y/n? *blushing smile* Quite frankly, I've had my eyes on you since I first saw you in the opening ceremony for new students. Since then, I can't stop thinking about you.

Y/n: *shocked* 'Why does this keep happening?! And I didn't do anything, and I already have another girl crushing on ME!!!' *sighs* Well that's nice tamao,but we can talk about that another time, *starts to walk away* for now I'm going to check on my friend.

I then found my face planted into tamao's chest!

Y/n: *shocked* TAMAO?!?!

Tamao: *small smile* Sorry y/n, but we don't have any intention of letting our new members go, especially you~.

I then heard screaming and got out of tamao's chest to see several of the new male members being bit by the female swimmers and becoming like prunes and the female swimmers showing their monster forms.

Y/n:

Tamao: *small smile* Don't think too badly of us y/n. We do, lure innocent men to the water and suck their life force. We are mermaids after all, it's our thing.

I then turned and looked at tamao who fully transformed into her monster form, and like she said her form held true to a mermaid. While her upper body remained the same, her legs became a giant orange-colored mermaid tail, along with having fin-like ears, her arms having fins too, gills, and her hands becoming webbed like a duck.

Y/n: *annoyed* Can't say I'm too shocked, mermaids are one of the most well known sea monsters in folklore.

Tamao: *fish fin wave lovingly, small smile* You did your homework, *gently place her hand on my face* but like I said, I've had my eyes on you since you first came here. *came closer and took a whiff from me* You're scent, it's so unique, I can barely stay away from it.

I took notice of my surroundings and saw that I was getting surrounded by the other mermaid members, great.

Y/n: *thinking* 'Can't use my fire, it's practically weak against large amount of water and *sees to test if can spark a flare, but doesn't work* doesn't it look like its in use at the moment, *looks up in the air a bit* but in the air.'

Tamao: *smile* Now then y/n, you're already surrounded, and there's nowhere to escape. So how about you let me have a taste of your life force, and be with me forever~?

Y/n: *annoyed* Sorry tamao, but I'm not up to being fish food!

I then blitzed away from tamao a bit while still in the water, but I still saw some mermaids surrounding me a bit.

Mermaid member: *sultry smirk* Not so fast, cutie.

Y/n: *slightly annoyed* 'What a drag.'

Before I could do something, kurumu came in swooping and started fighting with some of the mermaid members.

Kurumu: *angry* Get away from y/n, you skanks!

I then noticed several wash tubs hitting some of the mermaid members' heads.

Yukari: *magic wand glowing, serious* If I were you, you better move aside!

Y/n: *thankful smile* Thanks, you two.

Sakura: Y/n, I'm here!

I then saw sakura come onto the scene.

Y/n: *surprised* 'Sakura?!'

Sakura: *confused* What's going on here?!

Tamao: *smirk* Let's see about that rumor. *splashes some water onto sakura's legs*

Sparks of electricity started flying out of, sakura and she looked like she was in pain.

Tamao: *smirk* Well, well, looks like you vampires really can't handle well in water. Don't get in my way, bitch! Y/n's mine! *mouth expands along with becoming scaly with teeth becoming jagged and shark-like*

Y/n: *worry* Sakura, stay back!

Sakura: *in pain* But...y/n.

Y/n: *comfort smile* Don't worry, I have a plan. *looks at yukari, serious* Yukari, can you whip up an umbrella for sakura?

Yukari: *smile* Sure thing! *waves wand* Magic wand, magic wand, summon umbrella!

With her magic, yukari summons a black umbrella and it floats to sakura's hands.

Kurumu: *dodge several mermaids, confused* What are you planning y/n.

Y/n: *smirk* Get ready for a giant splash, girls.

Sakura got what I mean and got under her summoned umbrella and I dove into the deep end of the pool which caused it to crack and tremble a bit.

Tamao: *shocked* How did y/n cause that tremor?!

I then shot myself back up until I reached high in the air and while still way up, I dropped both my feet while spinning downward towards the pool.

Y/n: *excited smirk* SPINNING CANNONBALL!!!!

*3rd pov*

The resulting dive from y/n causes a major splash that makes all the water fly about along with the mermaid members flying in the air and then falling into the water basket nets.

Tamao was still in the air, trying to understand what just happened.

Tamao: *shocked* 'He performed that high of a splash without any resistance?! What kind of monster could do this?!'

The turquoise haired mermaid didn't notice y/n who was beside her midair.

Y/n: *small smirk* While it's true that mermaids are practically tough in water, but it's a different story when your in the air.

Tamao: *shocked* !!?

Y/n: *small smirk* Now tamao, it's time for your proper punishment!

Tamao found herself getting a good dose of a midair roundhouse kick and landed straight into a water basket.

Tamao: *defeated* He defeated me so easily!?

Talking bat: *flies by* This fight took only a mere 10 seconds, *flies away* wheee!

*Y/n's pov*

After the battle finished, kurumu, yukari, and I got out of the water and changed back into our clothing and met up with sakura.

Sakura: *relieved smile* I'm glad no one got hurt.

Kurumu: *puts her hands on her hip, smile* Those minnows weren't that tough.

Yukari: *victorious smile* We showed them who's boss!

Y/n: *small smile* How are you holding up sakura?

Sakura: *smile* I'm fine, *guilty* but...

Y/n: *pats sakura's head, small smile* Hey it's fine sakura, I technically didn't want to join the club because I know vampires can't handle water well, but will find a club to join next time. So how about we enjoy the rest of the day hanging out.

Sakura: *blushes extremely, stutters* T-that would be nice! *sees her rosary glows* Hm? You want to-, *nods* O-okay. *looks at me* Y/n, moka says to use a bit of your monster energy and place your hand on the rosary's eye.

I was confused on why moka would tell sakura that, but considering I just faced a mermaid who got the hots for me, I did what sakura said.

Moka: *through the rosary* 'It seems like it works, can you hear me y/n?'

Y/n: *surprised* 'Yeah, wow this is not something I've ever dealt with before.'

Moka: *chuckles a bit* 'Well, that makes two of us, and I owe you again, especially protecting sakura.'

Y/n: 'It was nothing. Just a friend looking out for a friend.'

Moka: 'Either way, I owe you and I won't forget it, and thanks.'

After having my first ever thought communication with moka, the others and I headed to the cafeteria to enjoy our peacetime.

*The next day*

It was another day, and class was finished for today, but I decided to stay back to ask shizuka a certain question.

Shizuka: *curious* Is there something wrong y/n?

Y/n: *shakes head* Nah nothing like that shizuka, but I was curious about that newspaper club.

Shizuka: *tail pops out, and waves happily, smile* You were?! Are you interested in joining, y/n?

Y/n: *nods with a small smile* Sure, consider me in.

Shizuka then brings me into a tight hug, and felt her chest hitting mine!

Shizuka: *smile* That's wonderful y/n! That'll make you the fourth new member to join!

Y/n: *pulls out of the hug, confused* Fourth? Who where the first three?

*SLAM!!*

As if my question was answered, sakura, kurumu, and yukari came through the door.

Kurumu: *smile* Yahoo! Hey y/n, we joined the newspaper club!

Yukari: *smile* And it's something that even sakura can handle without issue!

Sakura: *blushing nervous smile* A-and I hope you can join us y/n.

Y/n: *sweatdrop* Well, this is awkward. I just joined.

Sakura: *immediately hugs me, excited smile* We're now in the same club, y/n!

Y/n: *pats sakura's back, small smile* Let's have a good time with it guys.

I just hope nothing weird happens in this club, it's newspaper for crying out loud.

Sakura: *blushes a little* Sorry y/n, but just a little bite. *bits my neck*

Y/n: *annoyed* SAKURA, BOUNDARIES!!!

Y/n and his friends have now joined an official club, and it looks like our dragon prince has gotten another admirer in the form of a mermaid. How will this develop, and what will happen in this newspaper club, stay tuned.
