We got the his office, and when he saw me he paled a little before motioning for them to leave. I of coarse stayed and went over to the lone chair that was near his desk and waited for an apology. After a little while of looking at his desk he took a deep breath, and looked at my dead in the eyes. 

"I am truly, very sorry for what I did, and I have nothing to blame for not trying to control my actions, and I am not asking for your forgiveness, but a second chance before you go to your training. I thought over what he had said for a second, and then nodded to him making him breath out in relief. 

"I am not going to forgive you just yet because it will still affect me for a long time, but I am willing to give you a second change" I said and got up "where am I supposed to go to" 

"Shade will bring you, she is just outside of the door" he said as he began to work on other things that he needed to do "by before you go here's your schedule" he handed me a folded rectangular piece of paper, and I looked at it for a second, and put it in my pocket for until I was done. I walked over to the door and saw that Shade was talking to a girl, but when he saw me he stopped and if his mouth were any bigger it would've hit the floor. The other girl scoffed and walked away not surprised or happy. 

"He said that you were going to bring me to this 'test'" I said pointing to the door behind me. 

"Wha--Oh Yeah if you would follow me I will bring you there" he said and started to walk occasionally looking back at me to make sure that I was real.

"Stop looking back because one it is very annoying, and two I am very much so real" I said smirking when I 'read' his mind, and he was surprised for a second but snapped out of it and walked faster. I easily followed him through a maze of turns, and doors before he stopped and motioned to go ahead with his head. 

"This is it" he said "your gonna smoke it"

"I hope" I said, and walked up the the tattooed lady "hi what are the rules, and where do I have to do, or go"

"So the first is a sprint race full of landmines, and you have to run straight across them to the other side. Then there is a narrow area that you have to go through, and not get cut. Next you have to either dodge or intercept all of the elements that are being thrown at you, and you can't hurt the throwers. Finally there is a long field that has a mix of the mines and element throwers with a button at the end. The highest so far this year is three minutes, and you have to either beat this and set a new record or beat five minutes to get into the diamond league, six or the emerald, seven for the gold, and so on. Ready...Set...people will be watching how you do, so good luck. GO! 

I took off across the minefield, and then I came to the wall. She didn't say anything about spikes protruding from the wall I thought, but I saw an opening about halfway through the minefield and I jumped through it in a horizontal spinning motion. I landed on the other side crouching for a second, and then I took off again. I saw all of the people on the sides of the field with the basic elements of fire, water, lightning, wind, and earth in their hands ready to throw. I barely dodged the lone piece of rock that was thrown at me with lightning speed, and I blasted it out of the air with a dark element that I didn't know of. I then reached the next field, and I saw the rarer elements of metal, dark so that's what I shot at the rock...huh I thought to myself and kept on running. I saw Gems floating in one person's hands, stars on another, a ball of light, plasma, and something that looked like plasma but with electricity in a colored cloud of gases. Then I saw the button, and when I got to it I hit it with my hand. 

I ended the race, or test I got a total of four seconds. Everyone is the place looked at me like I was crazy or something because they didn't even have time to react or try and throw something at me other then that guy. I noticed that the grass was on fire in the path that I went, but the water elemental's put it out quickly. Though everyone else was staring at me like I had just done the impossible, and I probably had. I walked down the field to the start, and saw a very shocked Shadow at the end of the mine field. I looked down and I saw all of the buried mines and looked for the quickest way to them. I saw them as red, and I guessed that it meant that they were active still. I didn't want to risk getting mad, or bleeding not-so-normal blood, so I turned back and went to the other side of the testing field with everyone staring at me as I casually walked past them. I noticed that the weird one was still there, and I went over to him. 

"What is your element" I asked him

"Cosmic rays" he said "and I might have cosmic energy but it's very unlikely"

"Why" I asked

"Because it is the source of all life, size, time, and energy of the universe" he said "and it would make me immortal" 

"Huh" I walked away leaving him looking at me shocked why I came to him and not someone else, or something else. I got to the other side of the place by walking because I didn't want to run, but I forgot about the second field of mines. Only until one exploded under my feet and sent me flying into the air, and I was pissed off now. I tried to keep control, and I tried so hard that eventually I lost consciousness and fell to the floor unconscious and sadly bleeding. 

I woke up in a different bed of the hospital, and I noticed that I was wearing new clothes. As in a t-shirt, jeans, and white socks. I got up like i did last time, but made sure that I was solid and not a ghost like last time. When I wasn't I breathed out in relief, and accidentally woke up the same lady that was watching over me last time. 

"What happened" I said on the side of her across the room "other than me getting blown up by a mine"

"We changed you and checked you for injuries and broken bones, but saw nothing" she said that and I knew what was coming next " why is that" 

"I can't tell you" I said "and what else did you see" I asked after a little while. 

"Nothing" she said What how did she not see my scars I thought confused "Why"

I sighed and prepared to show her my scars "when you see them I don't want you to freak out okay, or what I am about to tell you" I turned around and lifted up my shirt showing her the numerous scars that I had from the dragon whip. I heard her take in a deep breath, and I let my shirt down and looked at her. She was horrified, and she looked at me in pity. 

"How did you get those" she asked 

"I was a slave for a very bad man one time" I said "and he tried to break me by whipping me fifty times *I took a deep breath* with a dragon claw whip"

"How the slavers died a hundred years ago, so how are you alive, and here looking like a sixteen year old girl" 

"I don't know if that's the case, but I guess that when I stepped through the portal it brought me to this time, and erased the other time from my past" I said "though I can still clearly remember it. So if I am from a hundred years ago...how are dragons real" 

"How are elemental's real' she fired back 

"Oh, good point" I said "but do you know what I am"

"No" she said a little afraid of the answer

"I'm a dragon that hasn't shifted yet, and I accidentally killed my mate" I said saddened at the death of the man that 'saved' me. She was backing up to the door slowly, and then she opened the door and ran. I don't know where she planned to go but I couldn't let her get there. I ran with my super speed and stopped in-front of her making her stop abruptly and fall to the floor in fear. I grabbed the collar of her shirt and dragged her back into the room. Then I let go of her causing her to fall to the floor and I grabbed her radio and put it on the bed that I was on. 

"Look I just want to have a normal life not running form anyone or anything, so please let me have a chance...I haven't killed haven't I" I said

"Yet" she objected "but I guess that I will give you a chance to live in peace, but if anyone else finds out about this you are dead" 

"Yeah I know" I said and thought maybe. Then I went to my first class, but stopped at the door before I left "please don't tell anyone, and what rank or team am I in" 

"I won't tell anyone, and you are in the Diamond league" she said, and I left to find my first class 'Elemental Studies'. Then I looked at the digital clock on a beam above me and it said 12:00, and I saw that my lunch time was at 12:10, so I had ten minutes to find the lunchroom. It took me almost fifteen to get the map of the place and get there, and as I got closer I heard the lunchroom was a beehive of sound and movement. When I stepped in the door closed behind me with a loud slam, and all of the conversations and movement stopped to look at me.

It made me very uncomfortable, and I didn't like it. I walked to the concession stand and got my food with everyone watching every move that I made. Then I looked around for my table, and when I found it I used my speed and sat down in an empty space which happened to be by a guy that was rather tall, and I guessed that by his arm tattoos his element was fire, and stars. When I sat down I made the table move a little causing a screech to go throughout the room, and I severely scared the rest of the people at the table. I looked around the lunch room and I saw that some were covering their ears, and others were looking at me curiously. 

"What are you looking at people because I am pretty sure that there is nothing that surprising" I yelled throughout the room, and everyone seemed to snap out of their trance and they turned around to each-other and started to talk again. 

"Wow" a guy on the other side of the emerald table said fascinated and with wide eyes "how can you go so fast, and how were you not freaked out by her sudden appearance Alex" he looked at the taller guys next to me. 

" The same thing happened for me, and I am not really as jumpy as others here" he said looking at them dumbfounded "but otherwise...how can you go so fast. I saw the trial and I was rather impressed, and no one is going to beat that record that you had set" he looked at me. 

"I guess that it is just a special power that I had gotten" I lied

"Yeah maybe" he turned away and I had a feeling that he knew I was lying. I looked around at the other people at the table, and I saw that there were eight people at this table including me. Then one of the stuck his hand out across the table, and I looked at it for a second before taking it. Then he made my arm go up and down limply, and I didn't know what he was doing. So I looked at him and his hand confused as to why he did that, and why I took it. 

"What is that look for" he said "do you not know how to handshake" he looked at me disbelievingly, and so did the others. When I didn't answer his expression changed to something like pity, and he looked down at his food and began to eat. 

"How do you not know what a handshake is...what century are you from" the leader said looking at me sternly, and when I didn't answer his eyes softened a little. I just kept on looking at the food on my plate that looked much better than the animals of the forest and disgusting slave food, and then I pushed it away and walked off not hungry anymore. 

"Jeez man what did you say" one of the girls said and I heard her get up and walk after me, but I wanted to be alone. I looked at my map while I walked and then I used speed to run to my apartment room, and when I got there I looked at the handle for a second before opening it and going inside. I saw that there were two beds in open space right next to each-other, and I looked around at the pretty wall colors. Then I saw a flat looking thing that was standing up vertically, and a chair by it. I walked over to it and sat in the chair, and when I did the black thing ont he screen went white, and freaked me out making me shoot it with a electric blast, and blowing a hole right through the middle of it and making it go black again with a spider web of fragile designs alone the screen and a long purple thing stuck up startling me, but I didn't shoot it this time. 

Instead I went over to the plain bed and looked and looked at it for a second. Then I went to the left side of it and fell onto it expecting it to be solid, but I sunk right into it. It was rather uncomfortable, and alien for me against sleeping on a cold stone floor, or the bottom of the forest. I looked under the bed once I managed to get off of the bed, and seeing that it was dark and had a wooden floor I went over to it in the dark, rolled under the whole thing, and slept in comfortable darkness. I was woken up by another person coming into the room, and seemingly flopping on her bed before I heard a-lot of swishing and moving around before it went quiet again, and I heard even breathing. I guessed that someone else just got into the other bed and was now sleeping, and so did I under the thing.

I was running from a thing that was coming after me with red eyes and a hot breath. Then I stopped and looked at it. First mistake. It towered over me then it opened up it's mouth and covered me in an amber fire. 

Then the dream was flooded with a yellow light that went under the bed and into my face waking me up immediately. Then I heard walking around, and after about five minutes the light turned to darkness and I fell asleep again. I went into a peaceful sleep, and then a sharp light interrupted the darkness. I wanted the light to turn off so that I could sleep and it did, and then I heard some talking. 

"What the hell" the voice belonged to a guy, and I didn't recognize it

"Well at least we know that she is still alive" the male that I was sitting next to yesterday said "how about you try to drag her out here" 

"NO!" I am not touching her" he exclaimed loudly, and I just wanted to sleep. I thought of me floating up and into the squishy thing that was above me, and I did. 

"What the hell" I heard a again "where did she go" I smiled a little, and now I was half sleeping-half awake and listening to them while resting. 

"What do you mean where did she go" the leader said "she was just there a second ago, so what happened"

"It's like she just disappeared, and I don't know how" he said and I felt the mattress collapse a little, and I guessed that he was sitting on the bed "wait I think, but that's impossible...get Mike in here will you" 

"Yeah sure" the leader said, and then I heard someone walking away from the area "MIKE!GET IN HERE!!" he yelled into the area loudly, and I heard someone groan and come into the room. 

"What the" a new male voice said "how did she do that" I felt something lightly press on different areas of the mattress, and then he stopped. 

"What can you see her in here" the leader named Alex said 

"Yeah" Mike said "she's in the mattress sleeping, but not"

"WHAT!" Alex yelled "not possible"

"Fine I'll prove it to you" Mike said then he shifted on the mattress "please come out of there. We were all worried when we couldn't find you here. So please come out, and it's lunch time"

"Already" I said through the mattress

"Yeah" he whispered, and I thought the same thing except into the open air, and when I was through I sat on the soft blankets and bed. I looked around the room, and I saw that the two had wide eyes, and I swear that I heard a little yip-scream come from one of them. I looked at them tiredly. 

"Come on" I said annoyed "I couldn't sleep in peace for three more hours at least. It would've been the best sleep that I would get since the--" I didn't finish because I didn't want them to know just yet. 

"Since the what" Alex asked 

"Nothing" I said

"No it can't be just nothing...you can't hide things from your team leader" he was almost at yelling point. 

"I can't tell you" I said a little louder this time

"Why not" he was calming down a little

"Because if I did then everyone will treat me like I'm something dangerous" I said plainly, and I looked at him and saw a little understanding in his eyes. 

"Fine don't tell" he said as he walked out the door "and guys don't pressure her about it either okay...you know why" they looked deleted for a second, but then they left too and I heard three sets of feet going down steadily. I got up not wanting to sleep anymore and I looked at the things that looked like rectangles that were going down one after the other. I tried the first step, and ended up tumbling down the rest and hitting the wall on the bottom. 

"Ow" I said sitting there for a second dazed

"What did you do...fall down three flights of stairs" Mike said looking at me with a mask of amusement on. 

"I don't know...probably" I said looking at him seriously, and he broke into a fit of laughter. Eventually falling to the floor and rolling around on the ground laughing his head off "HEY!" I yelled at him causing him to go still when he looked me in the eyes. 

"I--can't--move" he barely got out, and I looked away causing him to slump on the floor breathing hard. 

"What'd you do to him" Alex asked coming up to us and looking at me harshly 

"I don't know" I said looking at his shoes

"Look at me and say it" he said sternly, and when I did he froze un-moving or breathing

"I. Don't. Know" I said emphasizing it by pausing in-between every word. Then I walked past him looking down, so that I didn't meet anyone's eyes. I heard him hit the floor, and then he got up and breathing heavily. 

"Why'd your eyes turn a grey stony color when you looked at me" he said wheezing, and I looked into the wooden thing suspended above a flat and smooth mixed-rock surface. 

"I don't know" I said "what do you have to eat here" I closed my eyes and settled the anger that was entering my system before looking at him in the eyes, and when I didn't see anything happen. We both realized something, but his eyes were a fiery red-yellow color and his arms were glowing a little. Then he also did a breathing exercise, and then walked into the area and to a large cabinet thing. 

"In here" he said and opened it up in a outward sliding motion. The doors folded down the middle and I saw shelves full of boxes and other things that didn't look edible. 

"Where's your meat" I asked and he moved to the silver thing that I was by, and when he pulled on the long handle it opened with a sucking sound, and I saw a little mist, and shelves full of other things in this cold thing. Then I looked around and I didn't see any meat or bread. He sighed and bent down to open a drawer, and I saw something labeled turkey slices. I picked it up, and then I looked around for the bread and I saw that it was on the counter in a clear covering of some sort. I set the meat down and cut open the plastic with my sharpened to the tip nails that I found out about a day after I had woken up the second time after a week or two. Then I took out two pieces of bread and put them on top of the meat container. Then I walked away, but Alex grabbed me and pointed to the open bread. 

"What" I asked

"You can't just do that and leave it open to the air" he said "so close it" 

"What's wrong with bread being open to the air" I asked "I ate stale and hard bread all of the time and it was fine for me" even though I was a slave and didn't have a choice I thought. 

"Well you may be fine with hard bread, but others here aren't so please close it" he said, and I lifted my hand and seared the weird material together again "thanks you" he said before walking away and leaving a wide-eyed girl looking at me with wide eyes. 

"No one has even gotten that type of treatment from him, so I'd consider myself lucky if I were you" she said 

"You don't want to be me" I said under my breath, but she still could hear me and I just went back upstairs to eat alone. I got to my room and I literally ripped open the package that the meat was in and I slit the bread into two pieces and lay the meat onto one of them carefully. Then I ate the sandwich that I had made, but gave up on it because of the texture of the bread. I threw away the pieces of bread and ate the meat alone. I stayed in my room until a loud voice yelled up the hall. 

"Come on guys we have our first mission to do" he said and I heard a couple of doors open and about five people went down the weird steps with out falling. I then got out of my room too and followed them, but I fell down the steps again because I didn't know how to go down them even though going up was easy for me. This time I got about three steps down before tumbling down the rest of them, and landing on the wall in sitting position breathing heavily. 

"I don't understand how you keep on falling down the stairs" Mike said coming over and helping me up "but come on the others are at the table" I followed him to the others that were gathered around a wooden table with a map of a building layout spread out of it like war leaders would do for a map. 

"So guys here is the plan" Alex said looking at everyone, but me and I didn't know why "Me, Gabe, and Ashley are going to distract the guards while John, Shadow, and Valerie are going to go into the building and get the prisoner. So yes this is a rescue mission, and Valerie we are counting on you to get inside of the cell without needing to disarm the cell's lock system, and it makes it easier. Now that we know that you can go through things like a ghost or something else. Mike you are going to stay back and make sure that they aren't getting reinforcements, and if they are Light can take them out before they get here. We have today to do this and no other time okay guys." he looked at us and this time he met my eyes, and I saw that his were redder than the hottest fire. 

"Who are we rescuing" Mike asked seemingly reading my mind

"My brother" he added quietly, and everyone went quiet for a second. 

"How do you know that I won't develop something new and accidentally blow up the place" I said 

"I don't, but we don't really have a choice do we" he said "my brothers life is in our hands, and I plan on keeping him alive" and then everyone started to go to different places of the room, and I saw that when they put their hand on the wall a section opened with weapons in it. I saw an empty section and went to it doing the same thing that they did, and it opened with no sound as a row of weapons on racks came out. I saw a set of twin katakana's that were silver. I picked on up and felt that it was perfectly balanced and it seemed to agree with me that we were each others weapons, so I picked up the second one and the back sheaths and strapped them to my back with both of them sticking out above my shoulders. 

"They look good on you" someone said from behind me, and I almost hit him for startling me. It was Alex, and he was wearing armor and a couple of guns on him too. 

"You almost got hit!" I exclaimed in his face

"Wouldn't be the first time" he said darkly with a hint of sadness and sorrow. 

"About this mission" I started "you might see something that neither of us will be ready for" 

"What could that be" he asked straitening

"I can' t tell you now" I said "maybe later, or after this" I watched him grab some keys and go outside,so I followed.
