'Why?'

That was the only thought running through my mind.

'Why me?'

The day had gone so well,but then it all went up in smoke. Quite literally. I was beside the forest that was next my village. I was on my knees sobbing harder then I could even believe was possible.

My whole house was aflame. Ash and Cinder were falling from the sky like snow. My throat burned and my eyes stung, but I honestly didn't care. I could hear the distant voices of the fellow ninja of my village shouting out commands and warnings. And all I could do was bawl my eyes out. What else could I possibly do? My family and friends, they were all gone. I was one of the only ones from that part of the village that survived. I don't  even know how I survived, really.

'How did this happ-'

My thoughts were cut off by a blood-curdling roar. I jerked my head up and saw a large,
shadow-y silhouette in the clouds. Another roar and I looked to my far left. In the distance, I could see a gigantic fox. Now, not only was it large, but it had nine glistening golden-orange tails. I squinted my eyes, and on top of the fox was a man. I was too far away to completely recognize him, but I knew he was from my village.

I racked my brain , trying  to process what was going on.After about five minutes of thinking, I had remembered what that fox thing was. It was one of the best legendary tailed beasts, or in other words, a demon. I pondered for quite a while when I heard a low rumbling noise from the forest. I froze in place, slowly turning my head to the woods behind me. I stood up, trembling, and stumbled over to the edge of the trees. After that, everything is hazy, then it went black. I awoke in the same exact place I was before, with very little memory of what happened. The only thing I remembered was where I lived and what my name was:
(Y/N) Ryuu of the Ryuu clan in Konoha.
