Lightning Trouble
4 dragons followed a white, older one as they walked through the forest.
The old dragon had long streaks of white fur coming from the sides of his muzzle, he also had a golden hat on his head, not many dragon's wore those nowadays.
The earth dragon kept on stopping to make sure the ice dragon he was carrying was secure.
The fire dragon was doing the same with the energy dragon.
The water and lightning dragon followed behind them quietly chatting every now and again.
The fire dragon had enough.
"Are going to tell us where we're going?! We've been walking for miles and we're getting tired of it!"
Wu smirked and turned to the impatient Kai, "I find it amusing, that such youth are unable to keep up with my old bones. Prehaps, you should get out more." Before turning back and continuing to walk.
However as he did this, he said, "We are going to Jay's home, as it is no ordinary cave, but a scrap metal cave. A junkcave. We will be able to get your mother and father to repair Zane, so we can get in contact with my nephew."
A dizzy spell hit Jay. His parents? They couldn't go to the Junkcave, they would find out. Nonononononono.
Jay walked away and hit his head against a tree while he screamed in what seemed like frustration.
Wu only sighed at him. The boy was like a wire that had been cut, he was constantly sparking (both figurativley and literally). But Wu knew the real reason why the lightning dragon had reacted like this. The young dragon knew that his time for coming until the-writer-whose-name-shall-not-be-spoken spills his secret. If only HarumiGarmadon would spare him the pain. (A/N yeah well don't get your hopes up, I've been wanting to write this chapter for a looong time, and it must go exactly as I planned it).
"I am a good friend of your parents, Jay Walker. I am sure they will be pleased to see you, or is there something you would like to share with us all?"
That old b*****d knows. He knows and he's doing this on purpose! What did I ever do to you?! Jay thought.
"Yes, but you aren't gonna hear me say it anytime soon." Not how they died anyway.
A soft wing wrapped around his shoulder.
Jay turned his head to see Nya.
"Com'on Jay, we're worried about you, just tell us what's the matter, it'll make you feel better if you let it out."
Jay hesitated before realizing that she was right. It was hurting him to keep it inside.
"My parents died." Don'taskhowdon'taskhowdon'taskhow.
"Oh, gosh, I'm so sorry, babe. If you don't mind me asking, how did it happen?"
No, he couldn't answer that. They would hate him. Never talk to him again. But... he couldn't lie either, and if and when they got to the Junkcave they would be able to see the clues, they would find out either way.
Jay sighed and sat on his haunches.
"You won't hate me if I tell you, right?"
Cole spoke up, "No matter what happens, we'll always be your friend."
The lightning dragon took a deep breath.
"I killed them."
(*Jay's Flashback*)
It was a sunny day in dragongo, and Jay was going to meet up with his friends again. But first, he was helping in the Junkcave.
There were always visitors there, after all, it was a very cheap place to buy metal from.
One of his favourite dragons who oftwn came was Dr. Julien, he would always come by and sometimes even told Jay about his inventions.
But he never came anymore.
Nya also came there sometimes. She came today, and told Jay they were meeting up again.
He would've went there and tuen, but he had to do his training first.
After he done his chores in the Junkcave, Ma and Pa would help him with his lightning powers.
Everyone in the area knew that Jay struggled with his powers, and that was because his biological mother died before he was even 2 weeks old.
Not having anyone to teach him, Jay couldn't control his powers.
That's why he can't touch water, that's why he can't cry, that's why he only uses his powers if it were the last resort.
Ed and Edna walked up onto the top of the cave with Jay.
"Okay, kiddo, today, your gonna start a storm and act as a lightning rod." Ed told him.
Jay nodded. He knew how start a storm, just not how to attract lightning on purpose.
Anger. Storms were angry, so was Jay.
He lifted his wings up and electricity crackled between them.
He shot his lightning breath up in the sky.
Clouds darkened as his lightning made contact with it, and produced more of the electrical substance.
Jay concentrated his power into his two minature horns as lightning clashed into them, but what was he supposed to do with the energy he was obtaining?
The power soon became too much for him, and lightning soon shot everywhere.
It hit trees, it hit the cave, it hit the ground and it hit his parents.
They lay on the ground, unmoving, motionless.
They were dead.
The storm had killed them... no... Jay had killed them.
Tears filling his eyes, Jay flew off.
Okay, so ya'll probably gonna laugh when you hear this but Jay hates storms. And that's wierd because he's a lightning dragon.
But then again, Jay isn't a normal lightning dragon.
Unlike most lightning dragons, during a storm, lightning gathers around him and strikes him.
To be honest, he can't say that it doesn't hurt.
Because it does. His friends don't know about that. Or the fact that his adopted parents just died.
No, he couldn't tell them that. He was the comic relief of the six dragons.
He would keep them happy, or make jokes to lighten the mood.
But no one knows what's hidden behind a smile.
His eyes weren't exactly normal aswell. Not only are his eyes lightning blue, real lightning comes out of them. And if doesn't help that if he cries he electrocutes himself.
Jay also wasn't the best at landing.
Sure, he was the fastest out of his friends in the sky. Sure, his agility was like no other's. Sure, he had pretty good flying skills.
But that's all ruined when he lands. He doesn't know why he even flies anymore.
All of his friends laugh at him when he lands. Even Kai, and he doesn't even have proper wings.
So Jay just grins so they think he done it on purpose.
"You gotta land properly this time, Jay, you gotta do it." He spoke encouragly to himself.
Well, he jinxed it. Out of nowhere, a lightning bolt hit him, knocking him off course. Damn that hurt.
The last thing he remembers is falling.
(*Flashback end*)
Jay was sobbing on the ground now, the others would have patted him on the back or something like that, but none of them felt like getting electrocuted, which Jay was doing to himself alot at this moment in time.
"I didn't mean to! I just couldn't control it!" Jay choked through his sobs.
"We know Jay, but please, you have to calm down. If you continue electrocuting yourself you'll die."
"WHO SAYS I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" Jay sobbed.
Now, Nya couldn't care less if she got electrocuted as she threw her paws around Jay and hugged him tightly.
Kai was just about to shout in protest when the lightning died down.
A/N I bet you all weren't expecting Jay to kill them, huh? I just love plot twists, don't you?
