~Flashback Memory, April 6th~

I was only at Hammerlocke for a while to get some rest after the battle I had with Leon before taking his place and becoming the new champion.

After all of the interviews, autographs and what not, I definitely needed some rest and time to myself before I could do anything else.

I stared at the ceiling before I sighed a little.

Ever since I had my battle with the Dragon-type gym leader and my closest childhood friend, Raihan, I couldn't stop thinking about him.

Even while I was battling Leon before winning.

Those teal blue eyes, that belong to Raihan, were so cool and pretty. But, can get really scary if you said something that'll anger him.

Just like a dragon.

I started to laugh a little bit at the thought of him as a dragon.

Ever since we were kids, me and Raihan were obsessed when it comes to talking about dragons or showing each other which dragon-type pokémon that one of us caught.

In fact, we basically love dragons all together!

They're such beautiful, elegant, cute, and mysterious flying mythical creatures.

And legend (or rumor) has it, that those who have an adventurous soul, may one day be able to see one.

It's extremely rare and very lucky if you ever see one because they're always super hard to find and not to mention that others assume that dragons probably don't exist and are just made up, fantasy creatures.

Even though they say such utter nonsense like that, me and Raihan absolutely refuse to believe it.

I smiled before pulling out my pokéball and looking at Eternatus.

The pokémon who's a half-poison and half-dragon type.

Ever since the day I caught it, Eternatus seems to be really hesitant about me.

I wonder how Raihan was able to pull this off, because all of his dragon-type pokémon were incredibly warmed up and very accepting towards him.

I'll have to ask him for advice on that tomorrow.

"I guess you're still hesitant about me, huh Eternatus?" I asked as I looked at the pokémon.

Eternatus didn't say anything as always and just nodded it's head.

I chuckled a bit.

"Hmph, figured much. I still can't believe that I actually caught you. But, what surprises me the most was that Zacian believed that I was actually worthy enough to catch it!" I said.

I heard Zacian reply in agreement.

I smiled before setting the pokéball (that has Eternatus in it) down on the small table beside my bed as I pulled out the pokéball that contains Zacian in there.

And from the looks of it, Zacian wants to be let out for a bit. Perfect timing as well because I was just starting to think about Zacian and wanting to cuddle it for a while.

I tossed the pokéball and letted Zacian out before the legendary pokémon walked over and started playfully nuzzling me by the neck.

I giggled before giving Zacian a kiss on the forehead and began to pet it.

"You and Zamazenta are such adorable and very mysterious sweethearts. I'm so happy you allowed me to keep you." I said as I pulled Zacian into a hug.

Zacian made a small howl in agreement as it smiled before it suddenly turned to look at the bedroom door.

And judging by the look in the pokémon's eyes, something seems to be troubling it.

"Zacian? What's wrong?" I asked, starting to feel worried about it, as I got up from the bed.

Zacian looked back at me and hurried over to the door, before standing there, after we both suddenly heard a thumping sound.

Almost like...someone fell to the floor.

Hearing that sound made me and Zacian even more worried.

I hurried over to the door and opened it before gasping in shock and horror.

Lying on the floor unconscious was the dragon-type gym leader, Raihan!

And he was badly wounded too!

"Oh my Arceus! Zacian, help me get Raihan in here!" I say, starting to panic a little, as I grabbed Raihan's arm and placed it around my shoulder while Zacian somehow managed to help him up to his feet and get him to move a bit.

Once I got Raihan in, I took him to the guest bedroom and laid him down in the bed before I closed the door behind me and pulled out the first-aid kit.

After setting it down at the foot of the bed, I thanked Zacian for helping me while I gave it a poképuff as a treat, before I focused my gaze back on Raihan.

He must've been out while it was raining heavily outside because I noticed that he, his clothes, and his shoes were completely soaking wet.

I took his shoes and most of his clothes off, leaving his boxers on, before I started scanning over his body to see how bad the wound injuries were.

I grew even more horrified at the sight of them, wasn't expecting the injuries to be worsening than I thought it originally was.

"M-My Arceus..." I went, covering my mouth as tears appeared in my eyes and threatened to fall. "Who in the hell would be so cold-blooded enough to do this to him?"

I quickly shook that question out of my head and ignored it for the time being as I grabbed a towel and began to dry Raihan off first before I proceeded on with applying the medication and bandaging the injuries up.

Judging by the look of those injuries, somebody must've attacked Raihan with a knife without him noticing or even realizing about what was happening.

After all of the injuries were treated and I had the first aid kit putted away, I heard Raihan groan in pain before seeing him move a tiny bit.

My gazed softened a little as I felt pitiful about seeing Raihan coming over to my house and finding him passed out on the floor looking like this.

The poor guy.

I bet it must've been really painful and torturous for him to suddenly get attacked out of nowhere when he was only just minding his own business.

I yawned a little before I putted Zacian back in the pokéball and called out my Thievul, Luna.

"Hey, Luna? Can you watch over Raihan for me for a bit?" I asked.

Luna nodded before she walked over and lied down on the floor, right next to the bed as she looked over at Raihan with worry filled in her eyes.

"Don't worry, Luna. I'm sure he'll be okay." I said before petting her gently.

Then she relaxed a little, still feeling worried about Raihan but comforted by me.

"If he starts to wake up or if something happens to him, head over and jump on my bed to get my attention. Alright?" I instructed Luna.

She nodded her head in agreement before I smiled and scratched her behind the ears a bit.

"Good girl." I say before I stopped scratching her behind the ears and gave her a poképuff as well.

While Luna was eating the poképuff, I took Raihan's clothes and headed downstairs to get them cleaned up, despite the fact they were stained in blood.

As for his shoes, I just hung them up to air dry since they didn't have anything on them that needed to be washed, before I headed back upstairs and went to bed.

But, there was one thing that came in my mind before I dozed off...

"What happened to him?"
