Name: Archaeodromeus "Flying Dinosaur Dragon"

Description: A dragon that appears to be mix between a Dromaeosaur (Like Velociraptor) and an Archaeopteryx. Regal and cunning, a beast that will catch you without you even knowing it was there with special flight feathers to enable silent flight like owls. A carnivore most of the time, but will eat vegetation on occasion, like fruits and vegetables, if prey becomes sparse and hard to find because of the added nutrients. They are very intelligent, able to lay out ambushes like actual raptors, and their eyesight is twice as strong as an eagle's. They aren't social beasts, but only when it comes to mates. The mating ritual consists of building nesting circles, the more impressive nest may catch a female's interest, and the males do a mating display via standing on their hind legs and vibrating their wings while pointing their snout to the sky, while making low pitch purring sounds as well. Females are bigger but duller in color. They have a desert Subspecies called Sandstorm Archaeodromeus, which are just the sandy colored version of the species, and since they live in deserts, their stalking technique are no longer needed so they resort to striking prey with the old fashioned bird of prey divebomb.

Temperament: Though not naturally aggressive, they are territorial and will fight off an uninvited guest to defend it, but this would be belayed during the mating season.

Height: Length is around 6.25 meters long. Height is 10 - 15 feet tall.

Locales:

Archaeodromeus - They can be found in forests or grasslands. Grasslands are open, so it's not hard to spot one flying in the sky. Forests are where they are mostly in their element, able to stalk from the trees. They roost on big rocks that can be found in forests or grasslands.

Sandstorm Archaeodromeus - Just like the regular species, they can be found flying in the sky or roosting on the tops of tall dunes.

Auxiliary Weaponry: Bone crushing jaws, sharp claws, sharp teeth, a strong prehensile tail, and wings that can unleash strong wind pressure with one beat. Wings can also be used to grab and pin prey.
