Cloud's Reason
My name is Cloud, a cloud dragon. Since I have plenty of time on my han- no- claws, I will tell you about why I decided not to fight in leagues anymore.
Wait, you are not sure what I am talking about? Well, leagues are where many dragons fight with each other until they are defeated, not fight to the death. Usually the teams have three dragons and legendary dragons.
Actually, I never understand how the legendary dragons are legendary. Before I waste more of your time, I will start my story.

I was relaxing after a long day of fighting. Fights can get very intense, especially when both dragons are evenly matched. I suddenly felt sick.
It feels like a fever but I knew that it was not an ordinary fever. My entire body went numb and the world seemed to spin with me.
"Help..." I managed to croak out. Leaf, a nature dragon heard me and ran to inform Ten, the human that is basically my owner.
She came running to me with a frown. The look that she gave me told me everything. "I can't help you," she said with a sigh.
"Find someone who can!" Seal, a sea dragon shouted. Ten shrugged. "There is no cure for your illness. I haven't been here long and I never heard of this."
"Can't you ease the pain?" Seal asked. She nodded slowly. "I hope it works though."
Ten grabbed something from her pocket and handed it to me. "This should help," she said, her voice cracking. I ate it and felt better.
"As I said, there is no cure but I could ease the symptoms. It might get worse. You could also..." she trailed off, showing stronger emotion in her eyes.
"Die?" I whispered in fright. I never thought that after all the fights I have been to, I would have a chance to die.
The other dragons looked at me in sympathy, including Darkflame, who hardly had any 'weak' feelings.
He is a dark fire dragon after all. He walked to me and said, "Get well soon." Now, I was surprised. Darkflame had been blunt and reserved ever since his arrival.
Ten coughed to catch my attention. "You can't fight in leagues anymore, Cloud. I will need to pick someone else." I nodded in understanding.
She climbed up a mini hill and called for the rest of the dragons. "Cloud is sick and unable to continue fighting in the leagues so I will choose anlther dragon to permanently replace him."
"I say these words before my dragons, so that they can hear and understand my choice. Canon will be the replacement," she announced with the dignity of a leader.
"Canon! Canon!" the dragons cheered in approval. Canon looked surprised and excited. The hot metal dragon took Ten's spot on the hill.
"I will participate in the leagues the best I can, with help from the others, I will improve," he said.
Despite the fact that I felt terrible and sick, I managed to utter a word of congratulations to him.

That's the end of my story. Yes, I still feel the pain of the strange sickness I had. But these days, I feel more painful...
