Confrontation
The disturbing noise from the outer walls begins to fill my large room. As if sleep seems like an undesirable wish at the very moment, I begin grabbing one of the many fluffy hotel pillows, burying my head in it, wanting some silence from the lively world. But like hitting the volume button on a remote, the sound becomes deafen. Annoyed by the lack of sleep I hurl the pillow across the room and get up.
"When the sun isn't up means you should be asleep." I snarl.
Walking towards the old style curtains I open them and pull up the window, glaring at what seems to be going on. My eyes scan the streets and notice people on the them cheering for some upcoming event. Watching what everyone seems to be looking at, I swivel my head around and notice lights to begin radiating.
The horizon lights up in an instant, and movement begins to appear. What would look like floats and people, march down the street and the crowd begins to cheer. For a split second my ears begin to ring as the crowd begins to increase in volume.
"What the-" I say to myself.
First to come into view was a brunette with wizard powers to control cards. Yet surrounding those cards were a beautiful gleaming green heart. It shined more then the sun from yesterday. But this was just one person. And from the sights of it there was plenty of more to show. But I still didn't know what was going on intil my eyes locked down on a familiar face that I have wished to be forgotten.
"N-natsu..."
Tears leak from my eyes as I see him. But the damage from the fight seemed to take his toll on him. His arm was tattered in cloth and bandages. And only less then half of his face was clearly visible. But that never stopped him from doing what he wants.
Flames exited his mouth like a semiautomatic being fired in the air. Each shot showed a letter, at first glance I thought he was gonna spell profanity. But that was just my imagination.
"Fairy....Tail?" I confusionally mutter.
The spectrum of my thoughts fill my mind with curiosity. "FairyTail" it sounds like a fable you tell your kids. My mind is stumped on the words and I am lost at the meaning. But then I see an insignia on the people's bodies. Similar to decorations placed in the house, each sign is different with a story behind it. A snapping of fingers brings me back and my eyes are lost in a trance with those in front of me.
"Hey, I knew I smelt a familiar scent."
Stumbling back on the floor, my brain connects the face with a name. But who else do I know.
"Natsu..." I hush.
"Long time no see, Leaf boy." The flame mage smiles.
My head lowers as I sit in front of my father's murderer. Any confidence I had to face him, left my soul many years ago. Just standing here next to him make me wanna cry. And somehow I do. But with the many tears that manage to fall down my face, I still can't muster up the courage to look at him. My father's killer and I can't even look at him. I'm pathetic.
"Hey, why are you crying?"
"Natsu! Get your butt down here!" A womanly voice screams from the outer walls of the hotel.
"Crap, here have this."
Flown into my face was paper with the insignia that I saw a few moments ago.
"Meet me tomorrow at our guild, I'd love to catch up."
His smile begins to seem genuine, but only for time he is here. For what felt like an hour in a trance would be mere seconds of my life. Leaving the same way he showed up the pinkette exits the window and the room cuts to silence. Clueless thoughts start pondering in my mind on how he could seem so happy. Belittling fragments of anger begin filling my mind and I get up unconsciously and walk to the window. Head peeking out the glass framed door I notice the streets are barren. Then I look at the clock and it's one in the morning. Sighing in defeat, I stumble back to the bed and hide myself in the shroud of shadows that would be the blankets. But eventually I manage to fall into a deep slumber.
********************
Yawning as if I haven't seen a bed, my eyes peel open and rays of the sunlight waken me. Glaring at the clock I see that I've fallen asleep for a slight several hours. I sigh heavily and look down. But then I see the paper from last night. Regretting myself I pick the paper up and it loans to reveal a job offering for a nature wizard. Then I look in the corner of the paper and the emblem of last night reminds me of who brought it here.
Feeling that I have to confront him, I get undressed and entered the bathroom, cleaning the dirt of days passed. Only taking a short time I come out with some new clothes and my appearance improved. But the note still stares at me. Grasping the the thin layer I fold the flyer and place it in my back pocket. Eventually I gather my things and exit the hotel. But the old women doesn't go unnoticed.
"My boy, be careful an I'll see you soon."
Chills run down my back when she speaks but my mind stays focus.
"I just want answers," I mutter as I look for the guild.
But searching takes more time then I thought. Having no other choice I use my sense of smell. Picking up instantly I catch the scent and follow the direction. It would seem his scent has never changed, meat and char. The only thing he would ever eat as a dragonslayer. Thankfully it takes a short while to find it.
"Wow, this is a guild?" I question myself.
I stare in wonder at the build like it was castle built from a fairytale. And then it dawns on me of what I just said. A handsomely huge smile forms on my face. Somehow I had a feeling I was gonna love this place.
Opening the 7" doors I watch as people talk and begin to laugh. My first thought is how people seem to be chatting with each other.
"They must have a lot of fun," I mumble.
"Hey (Your name) get over here, will ya?!"
My eyes trace around the room, but while I do this a crowd of people look at me. Each face I looked at had a changed expression. But like a heaven's angel a person grabs my hand and drags me to one of the tables. Looking up I see that it's Natsu himself pushing me into a booth.
"You finally came." He jokes around.
As I begin to say my words a blonde and two others walk over to us. A smile on the three's faces I see they are happy to see me. Yet to me I don't know any of them.
"So your the guy Natsu was talking about?" The reddette sternly insinuates.
I nod.
"Ok you met him! Leave!" Natsu snarls at them.
Shifting between the the four I watch as they all have their our mental mind war. But eventually they all leave and it's just me and him again.
"So what happened to your dragon?" He asks directly.
Building up and ready to explode, I shoot daggers at him through my eyes. My nerves tenses up and my body takes control.
"You killed him!"
The then silences and everyone looks at us.
