(y/n) POV

"DON'T LIE TO ME MR. XAIO LONG!" Oscar yelled, "WHY WOULD I LIE?!" I yelled, "Ok let's all calm down." Aunt Ruby said, "Oscar I know my nephew and he's never lied to me unless he had to." She said, "(y/n) please tell us what happened once again from the beginning." She said, "It's like I said, I went to the realm of darkness with what I thought was my mom. Eventually I learned that Mom was kidnapped and I was shot and thrown into the ravine. It was while I was falling that a weird voice asked me what I wanted and made me into a cleric." I said, "Last night tho the voice came back and explained that the scythe was something called a relic. They called it the relic of protection." I said, "Ok (y/n) why tell us?" Aunt Ruby asked, "Because it scares me. I...it feels like there's more to it than just protection. It feels like there's a darkness in it." I said, "Ruby, I'd like you to verify his claims." Oscar said, "How?" She asked, "Simple by fighting a maiden." He said.

"Sorry Grandma, but I'm have to fight you." I said, "No." Grandma said, "You'll be fighting Sky." She said.

"This is gonna be hard." I said, "Babe your only proving yourself so I'll take it easy on you." Sky said as she activated her maiden powers, "Don't you dare go easy on me!" I said as I drew my sword, "Alright if that's what you want." She said as she made four clones of herself and rushed at me. I jumped over them and sheathed my sword and drew my relic, but as I drew it, it transformed.

"NOW WE'RE TALKEN!" I shouted as I landed, "I never really was a fan of scythes." I said as I readied the sword, "So that's how we're playing then!" Sky said as she drew her axe, "Looks like I should get serious." I said as I activated my cleric powers. Sky's clones rushed at me, but one by one I cut them down. "Wow is it really that easy for you to kill me?" She said as she slashed her axe sending a wave of flames at me. "Were done here." She said, "I couldn't agree more." I said as I appeared behind her and kicked the axe away. "WHAT HOW?!" She yelled, "I stood still and let the relic do it's thing and it took the hit for me!" I said as I kicked her legs out from under her.

"I'm sorry babe!" I said, "I don't care you KILLED ME!" Sky said angrily, "Everything alright you two?" Mom asked, "Mom get back to bed!" I said, "I'm fine honey honestly I am." She said, "Mom we don't know how long you were there, or what they did to you." I said, "I understand honey, but I'm perfectly fine." She said, "Mom." I said, "Fine I'm going, but you two make up." She said as she went to bed. "Lets go." I said, "Where are we going?" Sky asked, "Were gonna get your favorite treat." I said, "You don't mean?!" She said, "Yes, custard filled taiyaki. And I'm buying so you can get as many as you want." I said, "You're gonna regret that." She said.

We were walking to the taiyaki shop when we came across a crying child, she couldn't have been more than four or five years old. "Sky." I said, "No! Taiyaki first." Sky said, "Sky we're helping her cause we're good people." I said as we walked over to the crying child. 

"Hi there, do you need help?" I asked, the child nodded as she cried, she had long black hair that hung over her left shoulder, she had grey almost silver eyes, she wore a red shirt with silver designs around the collar and sleeves and a pair of jeans, "I...I cant f...find m...my D...Daddy." She sniffled, "Is there anyone we can call? What about your mom what if we brought you to her?" I asked, "NO!" She said, "Please don't make me go back to Mama!" She said, "Ok." I said, "What's your name sweetie?" Sky asked, "E..Ember." Ember sniffle, "It's nice to meet you Ember, I'm Sky, and this is my boyfriend (y/n). We're going to go get some pasties would you like to come with us?" Sky asked, Ember nodded.

"Thank you for helping me." Ember said, "No problem, we could't just leave you all alone." I said as I sat down and handed her a chocolate filled taiyaki, "So Ember I have to grab a few things from home, but after that we can look for your dad." I said, "W...What if we cant find him?" She asked, "Well then you can spend the night at my house since you don't want to go to your mom." I said, "So Ember tell us why don't you want to go to you mother?" Sky asked, "M...Mama hits me." Ember said, "THAT'S HORRIBLE!" Sky said, "Well let's go find your dad and then we'll deal with that." I said.

"Hi sweetie." Mom said as we walked into the house, suddenly Ember hid behind me, "It's ok Ember, that's my mom. I promise she wont hurt you." I said as I grabbed my scroll. "Ok Ember, let's go find your dad." I said as we walked away.

Two months later (y/n) POV

"I cant believe it's been two months and we still haven't found him!" I said as we walked into the house, "Welcome home (y/n)." Grandma said as she took a sip of tea, "Hey Grandma is Mom here?" I asked, "No, she's out somewhere." She said as Sky and I sat down, "Oh hi Mom it's good to see you." Mom said as she walked inside from the garage, suddenly Grandma stood up and pulled Ember behind her as she drew her sword, "GRANDMA WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I shouted, "(y/n) that is not your mother!" Grandma said, "Ok what proof do you have?!" I asked, "She said "it's nice to see me". We both know how your mother feels about me." She said, "Good point, but that's still substantial evidence!" I said, "Plus I found over two dozen micro-cameras hidden around the house and on your clothes." She said, "Less substantial." I said as Ember hugged me,"(y/n) please don't let the grimm hurt me!" Ember said, "Grimm?" I said, "(y/n) most young children can sense the presence of grimm." Grandma said as she stabbed mom who then began to dissolve into black smoke. "Grandma you said you found cameras right? Give me one!" I said as she handed me a camera. I plugged it into my computer, "Now if we're lucky then I can trace the feed from this camera back to the source and hopefully access a camera on the other end!" I said as I accessed a camera on the receiving feed and saw Mom and Dad. "Daddy!" Ember said.

Yang POV

"Daddy!" Ember said on the monitors, "I could only get the video, but they can see and hear us." (y/n) said, "That's right honey!" I said, "Mom I will find you, I'm already tracing this connection. I never actually thought all that I'd ever use the computer skills that Weiss's sister tought me, but I'm glad she did." He said, "Yang I need you to tell him to bring Ember here with him." Mercury said, "Why?" I asked, "Because she's safest when she's with him." He said, "Fine." I said as I wrote a note and held it up to the camera, "Got it Mom I'll bring her, I'll see you in a few hours." (y/n) said as he ended the connection. 

Six hours later (y/n) POV

"MOM!" I yelled as I landed on a large ship, "(Y/N)!" Mom yelled as she ran over to me and hugged me, "I missed you so much honey." She said as she pulled away from the hug slightly, "DADDY!" Ember yelled as she ran over to Dad, "Hey there kiddo." Dad said, "I missed you so much Daddy." She said, "Mercury what aren't you telling us?" Mom asked, "Everyone this is Ember Fall my daughter and it doesn't take a genius to figure out that her mother is Cinder Fall." Dad said, "Ember this is your big brother (y/n) Xaio Long." He said, "Yang this was never my plan. I wanted to "kidnap" (y/n) and take him to meet Ember and then let you find us." He said, "You wanted Mom to take her, to get her away from Cinder didn't you?" I asked as I walked over to him, "Yeah, she deserves a kind mother like Yang." He said, "You're a good father. I'm sorry for how I treated you, I'm sorry for everything." I said, "So will you raise her Yang? Please?" He said, "Yes, but only if you actually stay and help me." Mom said, "I wish I could, but we both know that I cant." He said, "Mom like it or not she's my sister, and she's known nothing but abuse from her mother all her life. Please help her." I said, "Ember sweetheart could you come here for a second?" Mom asked, Ember nodded and walked over to her, "You can call me Mommy from now on sweetie." Mom said as she picked her up, "Mama?" Ember said, "That's right sweetie, I'm your new mama." Mom said, "Ok I don't mean to break up this heartwarming moment, but how are we gonna get home, cause flying all of us back to Vale is out of the question." Sky said, "We could turn the boat around?" I suggested, "Works for me." Mom said.

"So tell me sweetie how was banging my doppelganger?" Mom asked as we sat on the deck of the ship looking up at the stars, "So you knew about that hugh?" I said nervously, "I know all about that. So was it everything you hoped it'd be?" She asked, "Mom I...I'd rather not think about that." I said, "Oh honey it's ok to feel that way." She said, "Mom stop it, I have a girlfriend." I said, "Had a girlfriend, we're done (y/n)." Sky said sadly from behind us before she flew off back to Vale. "Sweetie I'm so sorry. This should never have happened to you." Mom said, "I...I had a feeling she was gonna find out eventually, and I thought I'd be ready for the fallout when she did. I guess I was wrong." I said sadly, "What's going on here?" Dad asked, "First heartbreak." Mom said as she comforted me, "I know it hurts bud, but you'll pull through, you're strong just like your mom." Dad said, "I...I just need some time." I said as I walked away.
