The Moon And Back

It was an evening I stepped into a cafe.

I moved the chairs and sat with a frappe.

I saw a little girl, playing with her toys.

She had golden hair, dressed up like the boys .

Her mother was too busy, to sip the cup of coffee.

She came to me and said "Hi, my name is Toffee"

I offered her a seat and some orange juice.

But all she wanted was a chocolate mousse.

She looked at those growling cats, fighting outside.

And with her flashlight, compared their eyes.

She sat beside me and started telling a story.

The story of a dragon and a morning glory.

She asked me to take, the vitamins everyday;

As they give energy, to study and play .

She left the place, with a note in my backpack ;

She wrote, " I love you to the moon and back" .
