My Friend the Dragon

I have a great friend 

Who lives in my garden 

And smashes the tables and chairs. 

But that fault I'll pardon, 

For he's a ferocious dragon. 

Truly the best of friends. 

He chases my neighbor's cats, 

My flashlight his only weapon 

And stops my little brother 

From stealing all my toys. 

He also eats my vitamins, 

When mother isn't looking. 

So I can drink my cup of juice 

Without swallowing -

Those dreadful pills!
