Last time on Dragon Ball ZX. Shanae has now lost the trial to her older sister Okara, who now gets to decide the fate of Shanae and Nanka. Shasai suspects that Shanae is hiding something from the rest of them but what could Shanae be hiding that's not worth telling. Now it's only a matter of time until the annual Universal New Years Party.

2 days until the party

Nanka POV (Nightmare)

"Hello?" I said as I walked around the dark landscape as I couldn't see anything but darkness. Then I saw a bright light in the distance as I ran to see Okara holding a knife with a sinister smile on her face. "You'll be the first one to die!" Okara said as she ran to me fast while I couldn't move a muscle as something was holding me still. I yelled out as she stabbed me multiple times then disappeared into thin air leaving me bloodied and bruised. "He...lp m-m...e!" I said hoping someone could hear me but no one was there then I saw another bright light only to see Shanae and one shadow figure. "S...Sh...ana....e!" I called out to her as she couldn't hear but then I saw a robotic figure as the shadow put her head in the robot's mouth as I yelled out saying, "NO!" but it was no use as her head was crushed by the mouth as blood splattered all over the floor. "SHANAE! SHANAE!" I yelled out as tears came down messily then I heard someone say, "You'll join her soon." as I felt something sharp and cold go through my chest then everything blacked out.

Nanka POV (Reality)

I woke up in cold sweat still in my pajamas breathing heavily as I looked around to see it was almost morning as I thought about the dream about Shanae's death and my own death. 'Shanae!' I thought as I got up quickly from the bed and sneaked all the way to Shanae's room while others were asleep. I opened the door quietly to not disturb her as I went in and closed her door then went up to her sneaking into her bed cuddling her. "Sis? Is that you?" I heard Shanae say as I said, "Yes." as Shanae cuddled me close to her then slept soundly while I also slept soundly holding her close to me.

Timeskip to morning

Shasai POV

I felt someone shaking me as I woke up slowly to see Zamasu looking at me with worried look. "Morning dear." "Morning Honey. Did you sleep well?" "I did. Why?" I asked him as he stroked my hair then said, "You seemed a bit uncomfortable when you were asleep but I didn't want to wake you so I waited until you were fully awake." "Oh that. Don't worry I'm...actually I'm not really ok." I said as Zamasu sat behind me then stroked my hair. "Tell me what happened." he said as I started to explain about my discomfort about the dream I had about my death and then showed me the deaths of Shanae and Nanka. "Wait that was your dream?!" "Yes sadly. But I need to focus on something first." "Enough about that! Dear this could mean something!" "Like what?" "It can actually be how you die!" "So you're saying that my dream is predicting my death?!" "Yes dear! I don't know how to say this but we have to tell the others about this." Zamasu said as he grabbed my hand and carried me to the living room. "Shasai! Did you have a dream about your death?" "I actually had a dream about my death also!" I said to Pepper as we both sat on the table while Nanka was cooking breakfast. "Nanka?" "Yes." "Can we ask you a question?" "Go ahead." "Did you-?" "If it's about the dream about my death then yes because I told Shanae about it and she said that she had it to but...""But what dear?" "She was so nonchalant telling about her own dream. It scares me that Shanae just handles death like it was a good thing." Nanka said as we all looked at each other then Nanka continued saying, "She did told me that she saw Pepper got sliced in half by a sword, Shasai got tied up and suffocated to death after having her throat slit, I got stabbed to death, and she...her death is too gruesome to even say." "Just spit it out already." Gogeta said as Pepper flicked him then Nanka continued saying, "There was an animatronic and she said she was shoved into the mouth of the animatronic then that's when everything went dark. But in my dream, her head was crushed by the animatronic." as we were all shocked but Nanka said, "What bothers me is that Shanae told me she could hear the voice calling out meaning it was faking her death." "So basically staging her death?" "Something like that." Nanka finished as she served us her special omelets as we all ate in satisfaction.

"Speaking of which, how is Shanae?" I asked as Nanka sighed then said, "She's...ok but she's not willing to come out the room." "What do you mean? She has therapy today." "She told me she's afraid of Vegeta coming after her or if anyone is going to judge her." Nanka told me as I grew concerned then finished my omelet and then went upstairs to Shanae's room. "Shanae? Dear?" I called out as I was knocking on the door then I heard her say, "Come...in." as I opened the door to see her just sitting on the bed hugging her knees to her chest. "Dear are you ok?" "I'm fine." "Why don't you want to go out? You still have to go to the therapist." "I'd rather rather die thank go back outside. After what I did, Vegeta's just waiting for the perfect moment to strike or anyone could just look at me and make fun of me." "Dear that won't happen! Not on my watch!" I said as Shanae still looked at the wall as I came closer to her while she back away. "Dear? Why are you scared?" "I...it's just that...you remind of Vegeta and my biological dad at some point." Shanae said as I was horrified by her response then thought, 'What has Vegeta done to this woman?!' as I then said, "How about I invite the therapists to our home. Is that ok with you?" as Shanae thought then said, "I guess I can make that offer." as I smiled then hugged her saying, "Thank you for understanding." as she hesitantly hugged back then I got up from the bed and went out the room.

I got out my phone and called my secret friend waiting for her to pick up. After a few seconds, she finally picked up as we both chatted about Shanae and the Inauguration last night.

???: Hello?

Shasai: Hi dear.

???: Oh! Shasai! You need something?

Shasai: Could I make a request?

???: Which is?

Shasai: Could you come over to our house for Shanae's therapy session?

???: Of course! After the inauguration last night, I had a feeling it would traumatize her more

Shasai: Yeah.

???: Ok i'll be there in a few minutes

Shasai: Ok! See you later!

I hung up the phone then back into Shanae's room and said, "Shanae dear! Your therapist will visit us today so let's go get you ready." "Ok." Shanae said as I helped her up and guided her to the bathroom as I took off her clothes and bandages then filled the tub with water. "Get in honey." I said as she nodded then went to step on the floor carefully but I helped her get in the tub as I helped her down to get on the floor. I also took off my clothes and got in the bathtub behind Shanae and started washing her back and hair carefully as she was still wounded badly. "Tell me where it hurts ok?" "O-ok." Shanae said as I scrubbed gently on her back and arms to try not to hurt her more. As I was going to wash her legs, she flinched when I held her stomach as I stopped and said, "Are you ok dear?! Did I hurt you?!" "N-no! Just that...the scar gets painful as you hold it." "Oh. Sorry dear." "I-it's fine as long as you're careful...unlike Vegeta." Shanae said as I stroked her hair then started to scrub her legs and holding her stomach softly as she breathed heavily. I then finished cleaning her legs as I let go of her stomach gently and rinsed off the soap from her and I then got out of the bathroom and also helped Shanae out of the tub. "Let's get you ready and patched up. But why don't you want to be healed?" "I-i...well...Vegeta...he's just going to-" "Dear I won't let Vegeta get near you ok?" "You promise?" "I promise." I said as she nodded then I helped take off the towel and dried her up. I then patched up her wounds and dressed her up in her casual attire in which I did also.

"There you go all good and patched up." I said happily as I saw Shanae smile and said, "Thank you." as I heard the door bell ring to make me realize she's here. "I'll be right back dear." I said as she nodded then went out the room and opened the door to see Shanae's and Nanka's therapists as I greeted them and led them inside. Nanka came in the living room and led her own therapist upstairs while I led Shanae's upstairs to her room as I opened it to see her on the ground. "Dear?!" I said as I helped her get up and set her down on the bed. "Dear what happened?! Are you hurt?!" "N-no. I just tripped when I was looking for my bed." Shanae answered as I sighed in relief then the therapist spoke up saying, "Shanae honey do you want me to get you a new walking stick?" as Shanae didn't say anything but I pat her back saying, "It's ok dear. I'll repair the old one." "O-ok." Shanae said as I pay her head then left the room to let the begin their session.

Shanae POV

"So, how are you feeling today Shanae?" my therapist said as I looked away then said silently, "It's fine." "Now Shanae. I know you're lying about your answer. Please tell me the truth dear." My therapist said as I hugged my self then said, "I-i'm...fine...I'm...f-fine." as I started to tear up thinking about what happened yesterday as I broke down immensely not realizing that my therapist was hugging me and saying, "Shanae don't cry! Shshsh please be strong for me." "How can I?! They've broke my spirit! They broke my body! Mostly, they broke me altogether!" I said as I bawled hard then the therapist patted my back saying, "Shshsh let it all out and then we'll talk about it." as I calmed down slowly until I couldn't cry no more. After that, I wiped my tears away and sat criss cross on the bed as the therapist said, "You feeling better?" "Yes." I said as I sighed then told her about what happened yesterday as I explained about the day at Okara's Inauguration and how I got the injuries and lastly the comments that finally reached my limit to the point where I just want to end it all.

"I...see. I'm so sorry you had to go through all that." "I-it's fine. I'm too used to it anyway. But the only reason why I'm still alive is because I have a promise to keep for him." I said tearfully as she looked at me sadly then said, "I have a question." "Oh go ahead." "What were the comments that you were told by?" as I fiddled with my fingers then spoke saying, "W-well, my friend...no! Vegeta said that I should...kill myself. He also said that I was just a pathetic saiyan that was just made to serve and the worst part was that he was the reason that I've gone blind." "Oh my. Could you tell me more about this Vegeta?" "V-vegeta....we used to be friends and a...ex father in law since my behavior caused me my love life. He was chill with me but...after that incident from the multiverse tournament...he...he...he started to change drastically. He had it out for me. He tried to make me suffer and he succeeded because now I fear that he's gonna kill me." I said choking on my tears as I wiped then away then the therapist patted me on the back then I heard her say, "Here let me get something." As I felt her going off the bed then after a while I felt her comeback and then put something rubbery. "What's this?" "It's a stress tool. Try to squeeze it hard and see what happens." She said as I did what she said as I squeezed it hard to hear a squeak. I felt it as there were little sticks noticeable as the therapist spoke up saying, "That's a squeaky toy to manage stress. I gave it to you so you could try to calm down if you were feeling paranoid or stressed out." As I smiled then said, "T-thank you." "No problem." My therapist said as I kept the toy with me.

Therapist POV

"Another question I would like to know. Who was the love of your life?" I questioned her as she blushed then said, "U-um well. His name...was Trunks." "Oh tell me more." "He was kind, caring....handsome. He was everything that I dreamed about but...due to my behavior....I guess I pushed him away and now Vegeta wants him to marry my....I don't want to even call her my sister but I just want him to be happy without me holding him back." as she crossed her arms then looked away as I thought, 'I maybe be close to figuring out her relationships with her friends to figure out the problem.' "I'm confused. Who do you not want to consider as your sister?" as she puffed her cheeks then said, "I don't want to say her name because she's such a bitch." "But I do need to know to try and get more information." I said as she sighed then answered, "Her name is...Okara. She's my older sister and me and Nanka hate her very much because she's already caused us enough trouble from childhood." "Could you describe your relationship with her?" "We. Don't. Have. A. Relationship. With her! After all the stuff she did to us, why would I have a relationship with her?! First she ruined my school life, then she turned everyone against me, and now she now has authority over me all because she freaking cheated to win the trial against me! She always gets whatever she wants but me?! No! I always get left out and pushed around!" as I was shocked at her statements then realized the problem with her. 'I finally figured out the problem!' I thought as I wrote down my notes then looked at the time to see we only have 20 minutes left.

"We still have more time. Do you want to try and tell me your hobbies?" I questioned as she nodded then went on with her therapy session.

Timeskip to when they finished their therapy session

"I would love to do all my hobbies again...but due to my disability, i'm not so sure anymore." Shanae said as I said, "Dear don't say that! Just because you're blind or broken doesn't mean you can't do anything!" "And when has that become a reality?" "One of my clients was blind but could still draw her art and do pottery because she had motivation." "Oh. I guess you're right." "I'm always right." I said as she giggled then looked at my watch to see that time was up. "I guess our therapy finished sooner than we thought." "Aw man." "Don't worry I'll come back tomorrow." "Ok! Bye bye!" "Bye dear." "Oh wait! I haven't gotten your name." "O-oh it's uh Athenia." "That's a nice name. Sorry to keep you waiting. I'll see you tomorrow." "You to." I waved at her as I went out the room to see the other therapist as we both went to Shasai. 

Shasai POV

"Oh you guys are done?" "Yes ma'am so far Nanka's been able to finally tell me everything about her past." "Oh that's great!" I said cheerfully as Aphrodite explained in her notes. "So, Nanka told me that after 10 years of severe abuse from her parents, she couldn't handle the fact Shanae was doing everything for them so she tried to do a favor for her but from what I can tell she has self doubting issues and regret." "How do you mean?" "She never once stood up for Shanae as she was scared for her own life and endangering Shanae's life. Even when they were taken away, it followed her as she didn't defend Shanae when she was being bullied or when the teachers were being mean to her. Due to all that, she started blaming herself and now is harming herself too much mentally because of it." Aphrodite said as I horrified then looked down and thought, 'So that's why she was so quiet and resentful.' then I looked at Athena as she had her notes in hand. "So...what did you find out about Shanae?" "I think I now know why she is what she is today." "You did?! Tell me about your notes then tell me the truth about her. Ok?" I said as she nodded then she explained starting with what happened yesterday with the Inauguration and explained the relationships with Vegeta, Trunks, and Okara. Then she got to the concerning part when Shanae started to yell about not talking about Okara anymore and saying that she was always the favorite and Shanae was left out in the dust. "I see. So she's stressed." "Not just stressed. She's vengeful. And I think I know why she is." "Why?!" I said as she looked at me with a serious look then said the most horrifying thing I heard:

"Something or someone is manipulating her and tampering her memories."

We've now gone to the major factor of Shanae's secret as Shasai now knows why Shanae's feelings might be something linked to her past but it won't be easy to pry it out of her. Will Shasai and the others be able to find out the disturbing memory or will they be in vain of finding out the truth? Find out next time on Dragon Ball ZX
