Welcome to the 2nd Chapter of Dragon Ball Z Episode Review! The story where I, aPeXVite, and maybe some guests, watch episodes of Dragon Ball Z and review and rate them. Today, we have our first guest! Alexis also known as anime_fairy_05

Also my girlfriend so there's that too. Anyways, today we will be reviewing the second episode of Dragon Ball Z.

The episode starts with a Saiyan pod crashing down in a farm area.

Garroth: Raditz in the tide pod whip XD

Alexis: You're so immature...

It cuts back to Raditz when he approaches Piccolo, Raditz senses a strong power level on the edge of his scouter and determines that it is Kakarot and flys away. It then cuts to Goku and Gohan landing on Kame Island.

Garroth: Finally, the best character in Dragon Ball Z, Master Roshi!

Alexis: Eh?...The best character is Gohan during the Cell Saga but you do you...

They begin talking and Bulma comments on how Goku is babysitting before he revealing that Gohan is his kid. Everyone is stunned that Goku was able to even have a kid.

Garroth: Does everyone think Goku is THAT dumb?!

Alexis: I mean...he's not exactly a genius

They let Gohan play around on the island as Goku catches up with his old friends. Suddenly, Goku and Roshi sense a strong power level and assume Piccolo is coming to attack them.

Garroth: Kinda greenist not gonna lie

Alexis: Idiot...

Bulma pulls Gohan behind her and Raditz lands on the island. He tells Goku he is his brother and that Kakarot was sent from Planet Vegeta to conquer earth. Goku says he doesn't know anything about this but then, Master Roshi tells Goku that Grandpa Gohan, Goku's adoptive father, found him in a spaceship. He says Goku was a terrible kid until one day, he fell in a ravine and hit his head. After that, Goku became the nice guy he is today. Goku is stunned by this reveal but his friends don't care what Goku is, human or alien.

Garroth: So beautiful...Goku has such good friends

Alexis: Yup, truly a wholesome moment

Raditz then says that Planet Vegeta has been destroyed and only 3 Saiyans remain. The remaining 3 Saiyans want to take over a planet and Raditz says he needs Kakarot's help to get the job done.

Garroth: Really Raditz? 3 SAIYANS!? Do you forget about Broly, Turles, and Tarble or something?

Alexis: Who?

Garroth: Nevermind...

Goku, of course, refusing to help him and gets in a fighting stance. Raditz instantly defeats him in a punch and kidnaps Gohan. He says Goku needs to kill some humans before Raditz will let him join them and flies off with Gohan.

Garroth: Ah yes, kidnapping, my favorite part of Dragon Ball Z

Alexis: Indeed, truly making this a Top 10 anime

Episode Review: The episode isn't too bad but it's not great. It does everything it needs to do right. It introduces the main bad guy, it reveals important information about Goku that will be used later, and it shows how strong he is compared to Goku. It paints a good picture of how the arc will play out which I like but overall, the episode is kind of boring so I'm taking off 5 points and giving it a 5/10.

Alexis: Well I thought that episode 2 was pretty cool and a bit funny. It was cool rewatching Dragon Ball Z and seeing Gohan as a little kid and Goku as a young father. One thing that I noticed and that wouldn't stop making me laugh is Raditz's forehead! Why did it look like that!?! But besides that, I really liked the episode and I rate it a 6/10

This review was a little bit shorter but that's probably because of the minor details. Remember to comment on ways to improve this show! I'll try and get a bunch of my friends or other creators to guest star on this show but let me know if you like Alexis and maybe I can get her back on the show!
