Ryu was meditating within Whis' staff, as the Angel was transporting Yang and Cinder.

Yang: And you're sure he's okay?

Whis: Quite! A brand new fire has been lit within our Ryu, so he might not be in contact for quite some time!

Cinder: Great. Then I'll have to wait longer for whatever way he promised to help even the playing field.

Whis: While I don't exactly know what he was planning to do, he did have me hold onto this for you.

Whis held a capsule out to Cinder. She took it, mildly confused.

Whis: Why don't we see what's inside?

Cinder: ...

She pressed the top, before tossing it out. An explosion of smoke occurred, before revealing a metal contraption.

Cinder: A piece of metal?

Whis: Oh, now I understand! This is a Gravity Field!

Cinder: Hold on, a what?

Yang: Hey, he's told me about those things! It increases the amount of gravity around you so you can go for high intensity training!

Cinder: What?!

Whis: I doubt it can take you to his current level, but I have faith that it will increase your power by leaps and bounds.

Cinder: ... Well that settles it. Blondie, stay here for a while.

Yang: Wait, do you actually want to train together for once?

Cinder: Don't get the wrong idea. If this thing is meant for high intensity training, then I'm going to make use of it.

Yang: You know what, I'll take it!

Whis smiled, before turning around.

Whis: Well, happy training ladies!

Whis rang a bell a bell, waiting. A few seconds later, Erica appeared, before teleporting away with Whis.

Yang: O_O To be honest I'm more used to Ryu popping up out of nowhere than Erica.

Cinder: We all are.

Back on Beerus' planet, the two arrived, with Beerus tapping his foot impatiently.

Beerus: Alright Whis, bring him out!

Whis: If you insist my Lord.

Whis tapped his staff on the ground as it glowed, releasing Ryu. When he was out, he was shown meditating in the air. Whis upon seeing this smiled proudly.

Erica: You good there Ryu?

Ryu: Yup.

Azure: Are you trying a new form of training?

Ryu opened his eyes, landing on the ground.

Ryu: Yeah. In the Tournament of Power, I realized something. Ryuko, and even that Jiren guy had a different type of power compared to me.

Erica: What do you mean?

Ryu: I'm talking about their skill and control.

He looked at his hands.

Ryu: When it comes to our physical bodies, we've basically trained them to the limit a long time ago. In that aspect we surpassed our opponents already. What we should be working now is how we actually wield or power.

He remembered his battle against Death, slightly shuddering.

Ryu: Even though I'm gonna wake up in a cold sweat remembering that battle until I get payback, I can't deny it. Death's movements were amazing.

Azure: Well if you're saying it, then it's hard to deny.

Ryu: The next step we have to take is learning how to wield our power correctly. Even when I use Ultra Instinct, there's still too much wasted energy. To really command 100 Percent of our power, I can't just do what we usually do.

Both Azure and Erica were amazed to hear Ryu speaking like this.

Ryu: Our bodies and spirits need to relax outside when we do attack.

Erica: Wait, you lost me. Relax?

Ryu: Attacking while in a relaxed state keeps the enemy from from reading our moves. Doing that can allow instant and explosive power, while we can also preserve stamina. So far, Jiren, Ryuko, and Death have proved they can do that, while I can't.

Whis: Just fabulous Ryu! For you to come to a realization so soon after finding fighters that did the same thing!

Whis leaned over to Azure, making a smug comment.

Whis: Focusing just on the bodies strength doesn't amount to proper training does it?

Azure: ..-_-.. Shut it. I've been working more on techniques and you know it.

Ryu: It's easier said than done. I've been meditating the entire time in there and haven't gotten much.

Beerus: AHEM!!!!

Ryu looked up, seeing Beerus in the sky.

Ryu: Yeah yeah, coming right up!

Ryu flew into the air, meeting Beerus.

Beerus: You've got quite some nerve making me wait, you know that?

Ryu: Well SORRY if I wanted to be extra prepared after our last fight.

Beerus: Well then...

Beerus opened his arms.

Beerus: The first strike is all yours.

Ryu didn't say anything else, before closing his eyes. After a moment, he opened them once again, revealing the Silver color they all knew, as his hair changed as well.

Erica: I think that's the quickest and calmest transformation I've ever seen from Ryu.

Azure: Well he did say he wasn't able to get much. This must be what he did get.

Beerus: Excellent.

Beerus' power began to rise as well.

Beerus: Give me the challenge I've been looking for.

Shojo: You sure you're up for this?

Ryu: 'Couldn't be more sure. Even if I don't win...'

Ryu flew in front of Beerus, pulling his fist back.

Ryu: 'I need to do this to reach the next level.'

Ryu threw a punch, as now instead of blocking, Beerus moved out of the way to dodge. He went to punch Ryu's face, but he leaned back to dodge, before landing a kick right on Beerus' neck, knocking him away, with a minor shockwave occurring.

Azure: Damn.

Whis: Oh my.

Ryu turned upright, with his back to Beerus. He put up a hand, gesturing for the Destroyer to attack again, smirking. Beerus grinned at this, before dashing in, and then appearing in front of Ryu, going for a headbutt. Ryu held out a hand, before a gust of wind stopped Beerus in his tracks, making an opening for Ryu to land a punch right on Beerus' cheek, and fire a blast that sent Beerus shooting back.

Whis: You two noticed correct?

Erica: Yeah. Even though Ryu's not much stronger than before he went into your staff, he's changed up his style. His movements are more efficient, even though that's not resulting in more power.

Beerus: While I'm impressed with how far you came in a short time, would you mind getting serious? It's not as fun when you know someone's got more in them.

Ryu: Well I wanted you to experience fighting this version of my Ultra Instinct yourself first. I guess that was enough though.

Whis: *Sigh* With Ryu's new search for control I believe he'll be fine, but things may not end well if Lord Beerus powers up unchecked.

Ryu closed his eyes, as he glowed in the calm aura of Ultra Instinct. He opened his eyes once again, as his pupils went slitted, as everything began to shake. Whis tapped his staff on the ground, as he Azure and Erica were protected by a shield of light. Beerus grinned as he clenched his fist, powering up much faster and destructively than Ryu had, as now the shaking really became immense.

Azure: Intense...

Erica: It feels like the entire universe is shaking!

Whis: I doubt it's only ours.

UNIVERSE 6

The newly revived Universe 6 had begun to shake, with Champa Vados and Ryuko the only ones who weren't too surprised.

Cabba: WHAT'S HAPPENING?!!!

Caulifa: IS THAT RYU?!!!

Kale: WAAAAA!!!

Vados: Oh dear, it seems like Ryu Kaizen and Lord Beerus are preparing to fight.

Champa: I already sensed his power flare up an hour ago, and it feels even greater than it was then!!

Ryuko: What is going on dude?

UNIVERSE 11

Belmod: There's just no way this is real!!

The 11th Universe violently shook as well, with the Pride Troopers confused.

Toppo: This energy is impossibly high!!

Jiren: Did Ryu Kaizen hold this much power back against me? Or is this something new?

Marcarita: Well whatever it is, I'm sure that it can't be good if we feel it all the way out here.

OMNI KING'S PALACE

The Grand Priest stood outside of the palace, looking up, as mild tremors occurred.

Grand Priest: This is the power of the son of Sol. He'll no doubt go down in history. But I do hope none of the universes are damaged too harshly by Lord Beerus' excessive power up.

BACK IN THE 7th

Ryu and Beerus finished powering up, as Ryu had entered Dragonic Ultra Instinct, while Beerus had finally entered the higher percentages of his power.

Ryu: You know, I didn't think I would be the one to have more control out of the two of his.

Beerus: Clearly you don't know me very well.

Ryu: 'I've got 7 appendages to block attacks now. Let's see how far it can get me.'

Ryu and Beerus looked at each other, waiting. Their aura's had both been reduced to small glows around them as it was now so silent you could hear something across the universe.

Beerus: ... Go on.

Ryu: Alright.

Ryu dashed in, before punching Beerus hard in the kidney. Beerus feeling that punched Ryu in jaw, as soon the two began to go back and fourth, landing punches on each other, and dodging them as well.

Erica: H-Hey Whis... The Universe is only guaranteed to be destroyed when two DESTROYERS fight right.

Whis: Indeed it is!

Whis looked to the side, sweating slightly.

Whis: Although when it comes to incredibly powerful beings in general... It's not as certain, but still very possible.

Erica facepalmed, as shockwaves that threatened to rip the planet apart occurred.

Erica: Someone remind me to get the dragon balls after this...

Azure: Eh, depending how long this battle last, Whis can reverse any damage-

Ryu rose his hands up, with a white fireball appearing.

Erica: WAIT PARTNER NO!!!!

Ryu didn't respond, flying the attack to the ground. Beerus quickly dodged feeling the heat, as when the fireball hit the ground, in incinerated the area.

Azure: ... I mean, reverse what's NOT been burned out of reality.

Beerus: So you've finally decided to stop holding power back.

Ryu: Actually, this is something I can use reliably now.

Ryu smirked, with the flames surrounding his fist.

Ryu: No more accidents like before.

Ryu dashed forward again, as now with his flaming fist, Beerus actually HAD to dodge, moving side to side in order to completely avoid the fire.

Azure: I guess even though his strength hasn't increased the way he wanted, his control is doing just fine...

Shonen: Amazed?

Azure: -_- Of course not. Why would I be?

The sarcasm in the males voice was almost palpable.

Azure: 'Usually I can always find better ways to train that Ryu, but for once he actually got ahead of me. Did that loss affect him that much?'

Beerus: Let me show you something!

Energy of Destruction surrounded the hands of Beerus, as he finally clashed blows with Ryu. When they did, an almost blinding flash of light occurred, as the world beneath them was ripped in two.

Whis: You two may want to brace yourselves.

An explosion then occurred through the entire area, as Beerus' planet was completely destroyed. While he was momentarily blinded, Beerus punched Ryu with incredible force, causing him to speed away from the world at almost impossible speeds. While being flung back, Ryu fired rapid blast at Beerus, who had to dodge, which gave the man enough time to stop himself, and then teleport behind Beerus, elbowing him right in the face, creating a sonic boom. They quickly stopped, as Ryu looked at himself.

Beerus: I didn't know you were able to survive in the Vacuum of Space Ryu.

Ryu: I'm honestly surprised too. I'm just using this fire to keep me warm and Azure's wind semblance to keep it burning.

Beerus smirked, as he held a hand up.

Beerus: Well then, I guess I finally have a fitting battle ground. This whole Universe shall be our stage!

As Beerus got ready to attack, Ryu sensed around.

Ryu: 'This isn't anywhere near Earth or Remnant, and I don't sense much life on these planets at all. I've got no worries.'

Beerus: Let me guess, you just checked around to make sure that you could go all out without taking lives didn't you?

Ryu's eyes slightly widened.

Beerus: Maybe you AREN'T cut out to be a destroyer right now. You still care far too much.

The eyes of the man narrowed, as he got into a stance.

Ryu: Fuck off. I've caused more than enough senseless death in my life.

Beerus: Do you really think that you can compare to some people in the Universe in that regard?

Ryu: It doesn't matter. I'm not like a lot of my friends. I didn't start off on the wrong path.

Shojo: Ryu...

Ryu: I kick myself about this to this day. Because of my arrogance, I went from a protector to a senseless killer. If I have to chose between becoming a Destroyer, and being my true self, then I'll stay a mortal for the rest of my existence.

Ryu smirked, as an aura appeared around him, while Beerus smirked while gritting his teeth.

Ryu: So you can destroy as much as you want Beerus. I'll do my own thing.

Beerus: If you insist.

Beerus shot a blast as Ryu, with little to no restraint, as he quickly had to dodge to the right. When he did, a planet behind them was destroyed on contact. After dodging, Ryu dashed in with a blade of Ki in hand, as he slashed at Beerus, who continuously dodged, although being cut on the cheek once. After he was, Ryu grabbed the cat Destroyer by the ears, before kneeing him in the face.

Beerus: GAAAAAAH!!!! OH YOU LITTLE-

Beerus grabbed Ryu by the tail, which alarmed the fighter. He quickly began to dodge rapid kicks and punches, not intent on letting any hit.

That was until a tail wrapped around his throat, allowing Beerus to finally land his blows.

Ryu: 'Borrowing your move Goku!!'

Ryu chomped on Beerus' tail, as with fangs from the dragon part of his transformation, Beerus' eyes bulged out of his head and went bloodshot.

Beerus: YEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!

Not taking too kindly to this, Beerus spun before flinging Ryu through a planet.

Beerus then began to blow on his bleeding tail.

Beerus: What is it with you Saiyan's and biting?! Goku already did that when we spared that one time!!

Ryu flew back in, patting lava off his shoulder.

Ryu: -_- That is probably the only time I will ever bite someone in a fight again.

He spat out blood, before smirking.

Ryu: But I think I got the point across. I'm putting my neck off limits to everyone but Aero. Now try this one on for size!!

Ryu pulled a hand back, with bright energy surrounding it. Whis Erica and Azure soon arrived again to witness the battle.

Ryu: STARDUST DISK!!!!

6 blue green and red disk shot out of Ryu's hand, going towards Beerus. The God began to fly away, as each disk chased him around.

Erica: This is intense. Are we sure they'll come out alive after this?

Shonen: I stopped being sure about this thing right after it started.

Seeings that the disks were catching up and actually multiplying, Beerus turned around, holding a hand out, not willing to go along with a came of cat and mouse.

At least when the roles had been so ironically reversed.

Beerus: HAKAI!

In front of him, the disks began to disappear in purple light one after the other. Afterwards, Ryu appeared right in front of him, with a blast in hand. Beerus responded by backing up and creating a blast as well, as both beings fired Ki Beams that shook the universe. Soon enough an explosion occurred, with the neighboring planets being destroyed once again,

Shojo: You doing alright.

Ryu: *Pant* I guess you could say that.

Ryu looked at Beerus, who for the first time seemed damaged from their fights.

Beerus: That's it. You're getting closer and closer to the point you desire to arrive at.

Ryu looked around, seeing the ruined planets.

Ryu: 'REAL good thing we're isolated. He's at a higher level than I'm at, and with things going so slow, MAYBE...'

Shojo: DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE!!!

Ryu: Come on, he's a God of Destruction! He should be able to survive at least one hit!

Shojo: I WOULDN'T CARE IF IT WAS WHIS, YOU ARE NOT BRINGING HER OUT!!!

Beerus: ... What in the universe are you two babbling about over there?

Ryu: Just a bit of a debate.

Shojo: IT'S NOT EVEN DEBATABLE!!!! WE AGREED YEARS AGO THAT WITH YOUR LEVEL OF POWER SHE WAS OFF LIMITS!!!!

Beerus: What's this? Are you holding out on me?

Ryu: Maybe but possibly not for long. Hold on.

Ryu grabbed a coin from Hammer Space.

Ryu: How about this? Heads I don't use her without your okay ever again, tails I can use her now.

Shojo: ... Fine.

Ryu flipped the coin, grabbing it since they where in space, before slapping it on the top of his hand. After revealing it, it was tails.

Shojo: DAMNIT FANG!!!

Ryu: SUCK IT BITCH!!!!

Beerus: Now, what are you planning?

Ryu: Simple really. All I'm about to try in a small gamble.

Ryu held out a hand, as a new weapon to this story was brought out.

Ryu: It's been years since I've dusted you off. No hard feelings.

Beerus: ... Usually I'd feel insulted but a weapon like that, but I'm sensing something special about that hammer.

Ryu: OHOHO THIS AIN'T JUST ANY OLD HAMMER YOU OLD RELIC!!!

Azure: NO NO NO NO!!!!

Erica: OH GOD NOT THAT THING!!!!

Whis: I'm... Somewhat confused at this.

Ryu: YOU'RE MEETING YOUR FUCKING MATCH TODAY LORD BEERUS!!!! BRACE YOURSELVES FOR THE MOTHER FUCKING GOD BREAKER!!!!!

GOD BREAKER!!

Beerus: ... You've never been one to bluff in these situations. It'd be a bad idea to take a direct hit from that. SO IN CONCLUSION.

Beerus rose higher into space, before creating a sphere resembling the sun in his hands. It began to grow into massive sizes, while on the outside the flaming aura began to gain purple tints. Ryu didn't move an inch, dead serious as he grasped the divine weapon with both hands.

Ryu: 'If there was EVER a time to be careful, now would be it. One wrong move, even an ounce more power than I must when connecting to that thing, and there goes the entire universe and beyond.'

Beerus: DEFEND AGAINST THIS!!!!

Beerus threw the attack down, as Erica held onto Whis for dead life, while Azure entered Ultra Destroyer for extra insurance.

Whis: Oh dear, this is serious isn't it?

Ryu: 'Closer...'

Ryu didn't move a centimeter still waiting like a Hawk.

Beerus: 'Will... Will he do anything?'

Soon enough, the blast was right on top of him, threatening to touch his hair.

Ryu: '... NOW.'

With an almost weak amount of power, Ryu swung the mighty God Breaker, connecting with the sphere.

UNIVERSE 6

Ryuko looked up in the sky, unmoving.

Vados: The shaking stopped. Are you still sensing the power?

Ryuko: ... Do you feel it?

Vados was slightly confused, before looking up herself.

Vados: ... I~ would suggest that we cover our ears.

They both quickly did so, as Champa was simply confused.

That's when the shockwave to end all shockwaves occurred, as a boom that echoed across the entire Multiverse had arrived in the 6th.

Champa: ZENO ALMIGHTY!!!!! MY EAAAARS!!!!!!

UNIVERSE 7

Whis had managed to keep himself, Erica, and Azure inside the barrier they were in.

However he had actually required more effort than he would ever want to admit to do so.

Whis: ..... O_O

Beerus was still in the area, however he was panting, and shaking, now visibly exhausted.

Beerus: W-What... *Pant* In the name of exist was that?! ARGH...!!

Ryu still held the God Breaker, and was visibly drained as well, however still composed.

Ryu: That... Was my A Game.

Whis: That... Was most definitely heard everywhere in the multiverse... The possible damage to the 7th...

Whis at the thought of the possible mess nearly cracked.

Azure: THAT!! THAT IS WHY WE DON'T LET RYU USE THAT WHENEVER HE WANTS!!!

Erica: AND THAT WAS HIM HOLDING BACK!!! NO RESTRICTIONS WOULD MEAN DEATH!!!

Ryu allowed his ultimate weapon to vanish, as his hands shook, while he smiled.

Ryu: Haha, damn. I was banking on that taking you down immediately.

Beerus: Y-You... Don't think such a gamble is a smart one to take against me, Ryu!

Beerus dashed forward, punching Ryu in the gut, causing him to spit up blood, and be sent flying away.

Ryu: 'I'm honestly still pretty mad with myself. I didn't remember how open I would be after a move like that.'

Ryu soon landed on a planet, seeing buildings.

Ryu: 'This planet... It has life.'

Ryu gritted his teeth, willing himself to stop before hitting a secluded home. Eventually he did, looking back, as he saw two people coming out of the house.

Ryu: ... Shojo?

Shojo: No you are not seeing things, YES that is a damn Namekian on a no name planet.

???: W-WHO ARE YOU?!!

An alien that resembled a human, with an odd technological goggle over one of his eyes holding out a hand.

Namekian: WAIT, DO NOT ATTACK!!!

Ryu: YOU BOTH NEED TO GET FAR AWAY!!!!

Beerus had flown in, pulling a hand back, and firing an attack at the planet.

Ryu: NO BEERUS!!!!

Ryu flew into the air, coating his hands in Hakai to keep the attack at bay.

Ryu: THIS PLANET HAS LIFE!!! IT FOOLISH TO JUST DESTROY IT!!!!

Beerus: YOU'RE FORGETTING WHAT MY JOB IS BOY!!!! LEAVE SHIN TO REPLACE IT!!!!

The blast grew stronger, as Ryu began to struggle harder, with Dragonic Ultra Instinct becoming Ryu's regular Ultra Instinct. It was then the Namekian and other alien realized exactly what Ryu was.

???: Th-That tail...

Namekian: You're telling me that the man trying to keep this planet from being destroyed is a Saiyan?!

???: Th-This can't be!!

Ryu was getting pushed back further, as he looked back at the two men.

Ryu: 'Sh-Shit... If I can't stop this...'

Shojo: You know, I've heard you use that word a lot. "If".

Ryu tried harder to push back.

Shojo: You should really stop using that word so much when it comes to you losing. That's when you stop being who you are.

Ryu's eyes widened hearing this, as the aura around him began to grow.

Shojo: Tell me. When did Ryu Kaizen ever start worrying about if he would lose?

Ryu: 'A-ABOUT WHEN COUNTLESS LIVES WERE RELYING ON ME!!!'

Shojo: Excuses.

Shojo appeared beside Ryu as he held the blast back.

Shojo: It started when you began to doubt your abilities. It's not often I hear it from you, but it's nauseating when I do.

Ryu: 'Shojo, I'm not sure if I can ever be the same!! Before I didn't have the fear of death creeping up on me at every corner!!'

Shojo: Well, what about the times that you just didn't care enough to notice? Losing is a part of life you moron! You lost to Death, and now look at you! You're fighting toe to toe with the strongest Destroyer in the Multiverse! What I want you to do is simple! Open your eyes, grit your teeth, AND PUSH!!!!

Ryu: HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Ryu pulled back a fist, as it began to glow. He then punched forward, ripping through Beerus' attack, and then landing a blow on him.

Beerus: GUAAAAAH!!!!

Beerus was sent off of the planet, as with no wasted movements, Ryu teleported behind Beerus, before landing a side kick on the God, as it echoed through space.

Beerus: You were just at the end of your rope a moment ago!! It looks like you're starting to reach the true realm of power!!

Ryu said nothing, before landing simultaneous punches on Beerus' face and stomach. Afterwards, he dodged one of Beerus attacks, pulling a hand back, and charging a Stardust Cannon.

Ryu: THIS THE END!!!! EVERYTHING I HAVE!!!!

HIT THE MUSIC

With an ear splitting roar, Ryu fired the blast at Beerus, with no intention of letting up. Upon seeing this, Beerus created a Hakai Blast to try and stop it, but it seemed that it wouldn't be enough.

Beerus: 'I can't believe it...'

Beerus thought back to the first time he had met Ryu.

Beerus: 'To think he's come so far without even a century to train. Truly, this is the greatest prodigy the cosmos has ever known. Wherever you're watching this Sol, you must be the proudest mortal father to ever live.'

A new look appeared in Beerus' eyes.

Beerus: GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!

An explosion occurred, as soon Ryu was knocked back again. However this time with all his remaining strength, he was able to stay in the area. He dropped into his base form, weakly looking at Beerus, who coughed, but was in a state familiar to Ryu.

Ryu: N-No way... Argh... You had Ultra Instinct up your sleeve as well?

Beerus quickly lost the form looking at the floating Ryu, who couldn't muster up any more strength.

Ryu: Damnit...!

Ryu turned his head up closing his eyes.

Ryu: I wanted to win so badly this time...!!

Beerus: ... Be proud, Ryu Kaizen...

Ryu opened his eyes, seeing the exhausted state Beerus was in.

Beerus: This is the first time... In millennia that I was forced to use utter most limit of my strength!

Ryu looked over at Beerus, shocked.

Beerus: Forcing me to combine the powers of a Destroyer and Ultra Instinct, no matter how sloppy it is for me... It brings me greater joy than you could ever imagine!!

Finally, Ryu saw the tears that left Beerus' face.

Beerus: TAKE PRIDE RYU!!! YOU WILL NO DOUBT HE HAILED IN HISTORY AS ONE OF THE STRONGEST!!!! I'LL MAKE SURE OF IT!!!!

Ryu was silent, as soon, tears began to slide down his face. Whis Erica and Azure had seen the end of the battle, completely baffled.

Erica: Even after fighting so hard... He wasn't able to edge Beerus out.

Azure: They're both unbelievable.

Whis: You must remember. Lord Beerus is the strongest Destroyer. Defeating him wouldn't have been easy either way.

Shonen: Well it doesn't matter now.

Whis: Oh?

Shonen: We've seen the result of this fight. While a being who's existed for millions of years had to use every single power at his disposal, Ryu did the same, only the difference is he isn't even in his 40's yet. He's not even close to finished growing.

Azure: ... Yeah, I get what you mean.

Shonen: If they ever fight again, I have no doubt in my mind that Ryu would come out victorious. It isn't simple confidence or bias. It's a fact.

Whis looked down at the exhausted fighters, before smiling.

Whis: Only time will tell, my good Shonen.

Ryu began to float backwards, unable to move.

Ryu: 'Ohhhh fuck.'

Before he could drift into space, he felt a familiar hand grab his arm. He saw that it was Shojo, who smiled.

Shojo: How's it feel to take two back to back losses buddy?
