Fang: Ahh, 3 strikes and your out. I'll give you another guess. First letter D, last letter Z.

Ryu: Wait a damn minute, you don't mean-

Ryu started jumping and cheering for joy knowing that he'd be able to meet the greatest warriors ever to live.

???: What's with the screaming idiot? You of all people never yell this loud in the morning.

Y'all thought I forgot about the rest? As if. The one who was currently pissed of was none other than Ryu's greatest Rival-

???: Azure Kaito.

???: What the heck is going on down here?

Ryu: Oh hey Erica.

Ryu: Well I'm not gonna waste anymore time getting up Karma and Aero, so pack your bags guys! We're headed off to Dragon Ball Z!

Erica: Really?

Azure: I swear to God if this is a joke I striking you down with lightning.

Ryu: No joke! Now hurry up!

The three all rushed to do they're routines and throw in their clothes. In mere seconds they were outside of the door.

Ryu: Now how the heck are we getting there?!

A/N: Planet Earth sounds familiar to you doesn't it?

Ryu: Woah wait, you're telling me it's that Earth?!

They all started seeing strange lights around them.

Ryu: Alright guys, get ready to go.

They all were sent in the air and were being guided in a giant yellow sphere.

Azure: So I'm guessing Fang is just gonna decrease our age as we go?

Erica: Most likely. So place your bets, what time do you think we're gonna be placed in?

Ryu: I'm saying just after Goku dies.

Azure: Right when they head to Namek.

Erica: At the beginning.

Time Skip!

The three there still in the yellow spheres as they were beginning to descend.

Ryu: Oh we're here.

Azure: Umm, why do I feel like I'm a lot smaller.

Erica: And is it me or are our voices higher?

The spheres started dropping and flying down to the ground.

Ryu: OH GOD BRACE FOR IMPACT!!

The three of them started getting separated as they fell.

Ryu: Guys!

Erica: Oh great!

Azure: It looks like Erica and I are headed to the lookout! And judging by your luck, your heading to where Gohan and Piccolo are.

Ryu: I guess we'll see each other some time when the Saiyan's show up.

They finally separated and Ryu landed right in a waterfall.

Ryu: Great, now I'm all wet.

Elsewhere

We bring you to Kami's Lookout and see Kami looking at the Z-Fighters who were training intensely. His eyes shot wide open as he sensed the energy around him.

Kami

Kami: Oh My Me Mr. Popo do you feel that?

Kami Power Level: 320.

Mr. Popo

Mr. Popo: You mean the urge to kill? All the time.

Kami: No I meant those three incredible Power Levels that have just landed on the planet!

All of the Z-Fighters stopped and sensed the power as well.

Yamcha.

Yamcha: Woah your right! That's some power!

Yamcha Power Level: 700.

Tien

Tien: Yeah. And two of them are headed this way!

Chiaotzu: What do you think it could be Tien?

A very tall Green Slug mans eyes widened.

Piccolo

Piccolo: What is this energy?! Are the Saiyan's already here?! Gohan, put up your guard!

Son Gohan.

Gohan: What?! But my they're months early!

From the waterfall they were at, Ryu came out of it.

Ryu: Geez, talk about a rough landing.

He looked at himself before realizing something.

Ryu: 'I got turned 13?! And I don't even think I have Aura anymore! Man that bites!'

Piccolo: Hey you! Identify yourself now!

Ryu turned to Piccolo and realized that he was really there.

Ryu: 'Score!' Me? I think it's a lot more polite to introduce yourself first.

Piccolo: What did you say you gutsy little brat?!

Piccolo Power Level: 1500.

Gohan Power Level: 500.

Ryu: It's only sensible right?

Piccolo: You better start talking or else kid.

Ryu: Alright fine. My name is Ryu. And I don't like just being called a kid or a brat so you better use the name.

Ryu Power Level: 2400.

Ryu: 'Oh I'm worth two Raditz? Nice!' Ok as I see it you and I both know that even with the both of you attacking together you can't win.

Piccolo: Why you- are you mocking me?!

Ryu: No, I'm just stating a fact. You sensed my strength and I know when someone is a bit nervous.

Piccolo started to sweat a bit while Gohan was backing away.

Ryu: But I'm not here to start a fight.

Piccolo stopped sweating while Gohan looked confused.

Piccolo: Wait, what do you mean your not here to fight?

Ryu: To be honest I'm not fully sure how I got to this place. All I know is that I just wanna find ways I can get stronger and help a little.

Gohan: Really?

Piccolo: So your saying that your not here for any ulterior motive?

Ryu: Not really.

Gohan: I think we can trust him Piccolo. He seems nice enough, plus he looks really strong so he might be able to join us in training.

Piccolo: Hmph. Alright. If your really not up to anything than you can join us in training. But we're not doing this without purpose. In 6 months 2 aliens called Saiyan's will arrive on Earth with the sol of collecting magical orbs called-

Ryu: Dragon Balls?

Piccolo: Yes those. They will be much stronger than we are right now. So you better train like your life depends on it!

Ryu: Alright then. Let's start right now.

Ryu got in a fighting stance similar to Goku's stance.

Piccolo: Where did you learn that stance?

Ryu: I just picked it up.

While he stood their a monkey tail wagged from behind him.

Ryu: 'Wait a monkey tail?'

Piccolo: You're a Saiyan?!

Ryu: 'No seriously of all times now I grow this.' Just partial.

Gohan: That means your just like me!

At the Lookout.

Azure: So should we try and jump to get up there or climb?

Erica: Definitely jumping.

They both took about 10 steps back before running.

Erica: Nice meeting you Upa! You too Bora!

Upa: You two as well!

Bora: Be safe!

They both jumped high up and started going until they finally reached the Lookout.

Krillin: What the?!!

Tien: Those huge powers are here!

Chiaotzu: They're getting closer!

Yamcha: Up there!

Yamcha pointed they all saw Azure and Erica and were in shock. They landed on the ground of the Lookout and looked up.

Azure Power Level: 2100.

Erica Power Level 2000.

Azure: 'Oooh 2000's, not bad.'

Erica: 'For no training in this world I'd say that's great.'

Krillin: Woah, they're just kids?

Tien: Carful Krillin, they might be kids but they have some serious power.

Yamcha: Come on Tien they might be stronger but they're still kids.

Erica: If he does anything that pisses me off to to far of a degree I'm throwing him off the tower.

Azure: Chill its Yamcha, he doesn't need anymore of that.

Yamcha: I don't know how you call got up here, but you might as well go home. This place isn't for kids like you two.

Erica rose an eyebrow to this.

Erica: Really? Cause we can breathe just fine with this atmosphere. And I'm pretty sure being higher up then 10000 feet in the air means something.

Krillin: She's got you there Yamcha.

Yamcha: Well I guess-

Kami: How did you children get here?

Azure: We jumped.

Kami: All the way up here?

Erica: Does it look like we can fly?

A smile crept on Popo's face.

Mr Popo: Oh I like you.

Kami: Come over here, both of you.

They both walked over to Kami and just stopped there knowing what he was about to do. He stood there and looked at the two adults turned children.

Kami: As I thought, neither of you hold any intention of hurting anyone.

Tien: Wait, are you sure?

Kami: Yes. I looked inside of them and found no ill intent. My question now is why did you come here?

Azure: Well I guess you can say we wanna help.

Kami: Help you say?

Erica: We've been going around from place to place to become stronger. We know Saiyan's are going to arrive here soon too.

Kami: Hmm... well I'm sorry but I won't be able to help you there. Both you and your friend surpass even I. But what I can offer you is the chance to train with these people you see now.

They looked at one half of the Z-Fighters.

Azure: I mean I guess that could work, but we still need to see what you can at least offer us.

Kami: Hm. Very well. Mr. Popo.

Azure&Erica: 'OH DEAR GOD!'

Mr Popo: I'll go easy on them since I like their spunk.

They both let out a sigh of relief.

Krillin: Your lucky.

Mr Popo: What was that?

Krillin: NOTHING!

Krillin looked behind them to see that they had tails.

Krillin: Your Saiyan's?!

Time Skip!

Ryu: Ok it's been about 5 months, and I have a gut feeling that the Saiyan's will come early.

Piccolo: Well then we should get one last spar in while we can. Gohan, go at him with everything you have.

Gohan: R-right.

Ryu: And remember what I told you.

Gohan: It's okay to fight when you have to protect something.

Ryu: Good. Now come on.

Ryu got into his fighting stance while Gohan ran at him.

Gohan (Post Training+Confidence) Power Level: 3200

Gohan was throwing a barrage of punches at Ryu which he saw through easily and dodged with no effort.

Ryu: 'Ok, I think it's time I test the results of my training.'

Ryu (Post Training Suppressed) Power Level: 3200.

Ryu: HAAA!!!

Ryu shot out a Ki Blast from his hand that landed right in front of Gohan making him jump back to avoid the attack.

Ryu Ki Blast: 3520.

Ryu: 'I can fly, shoot Ki blast, this is great. Now I only have to become Super Saiyan and I'll be complete.' Alright I think that's good.

Gohan: What? But we barely even fought.

Piccolo: He's right. That entire point was to see how you would react. It's safe to say that if your not going to run from Ryu, who is even stronger than I am, then you won't run when you see the Saiyan's. And Ryu, remember what I told you.

Ryu: Yeah, I'll do my best to suppress my power to 25% or less when the get here.

Piccolo: Good. We don't need them knowing that we have a powerhouse like you.

Piccolo (Post Training) 50% Power Level: 2,250

Ryu: Yeah but I hope my friends know the same.

Piccolo: You say they're almost as you right?

Ryu: Yeah.

Gohan: You never told us about your friends. What are they like?

Ryu: What they're like? Well, Azure is the one who likes keeping his cool. He's always calm and has confidence like me. Erica, well she's the one who can find a positive to a bad situation in a fight. She's also really nice. Though they do get on my nerves from time to time, I wouldn't have anyone else as my friends.

Just then, the sky went Dark.

Ryu: Wait, it's dark now? But the sudden change. It could only mean one thing.

Piccolo: They're using the Dragon Balls.

Gohan: But it hasn't been a year yet?

Piccolo: Ryu, you were right, the Saiyan's definitely could be coming early!

Ryu: Ok I gotta think right now. 'When did they do this again? Um, uh- GOT IT!'

Piccolo: Did you figure something out?

Ryu; Ok, if Goku has gotten any faster with his training, it shouldn't take him more than 2 days to get here if he goes now. But if they're bringing him back now, then that means that Saiyan's should be here by at least tomorrow. That King Kai guy must have to ability to let someone communicate from other world since he's a God, so they must've been warned. So they'll be here tomorrow.

Gohan: You really can tell all of that?

Ryu: This isn't the first time I had to do quick thinking.

Piccolo: Than Goku will be late. Grrr! Just like him to show up late to a battle! We'll have to make do without him for a while.

Ryu: The smartest thing to do would be rest since we can't afford to loose a single step against those monsters. But we should wake up no later than 8.

Piccolo: Ryu, do you think you can estimate how strong these Saiyan's will be?

Ryu: Well I'll take a guess. One of them should be worth 5 of that guy called Raditz.

Piccolo: And the other one should be worth around 12 of him. At LEAST.

Gohan: We might be in trouble.

Ryu: Well if anything goes to far south, you both remember that form I stumbled upon right?

Piccolo: Yeah let's save that one for when they're literally no other option. It'll be trump card.

Gohan: Yeah if the card literally flipped over the table and attacked the other player. Being honest that form drains to much energy for you at once and it also deteriorates your sense of self making you-

Piccolo&Ryu: NERRRRD!!!

Gohan: What?

Ryu: Let just get to sleep.

Time Skip!

Ryu: Ok. It's 11:34 right now. The Saiyan's should be arriving any minute now.

They all simultaneously sensed the power of the Saiyan's that landed.

Piccolo: So they're finally here.

Gohan: And they're stronger than we are, aren't they?

Ryu: Both of you get ready for the fight of your lives.

At long last, they day of reckoning has come. The Saiyans have arrived. The fight for the Survival of Earth begins: Next Dragon Ball: The Legend Begins.
