Kina and Goten were sparing together in the gravity Chamber, as since the events of Frieza and Cooler coming to earth, they had started taking training more seriously than they ever had, along with Trunks, who currently sat out of the spar.

However that didn't mean they were any less of the kids they really were.

Kina: Guys?

She threw a punch at Goten who blocked and fired a blast in return.

Goten: What's up?

She deflected the blast to the side before shooting fireballs at Goten.

Kina: You know how Ryu's done so much for the universe, and specifically us lately?

Goten fired a Ki Pulse in order to stop the upcoming flames.

Trunks: You're gonna have to be more specific.

Kina dashed forward roundhouse kicking at Goten, who moved his head to the side, getting scratched not able to avoid fully.

Kina: Like the time when he saw me using my Semblance and gave me pointers on how to maximize the wind attacks.

She crossed her arms to block a side kick from Goten, being forced into a backflip to regain balance.

Goten: Or the time he taught you and Trunks those things called breathing styles? Specifically when he gave you the Buster Sword as a birthday gift Kina?

Goten started to dodge Ki Blast fired by Kina.

Trunks: Or that time he trained with you one on one for a week Goten.

Kina dashed in kneeing Goten right in the chest making him fall down. She got over him before placing her fingers near his throat.

Kina: Ryu's done so many nice things for us just out nowhere, when he could probably have used that time for himself. I kinda wanna do something nice for him too.

She got off of Goten picking him up.

Goten: Yeah, but there's kinda one issue with that.

Trunks: I think I know what you're getting at.

Goten/Kina/Trunks: We have no idea what he likes.

For a moment they were all in thought, but immediately a lightbulb went off over Kina's head.

Kina: Wait a second, my mom's gotta know something!!

Goten: Hold, you're right! Aurora's known him for most of their lives, she's gotta know something!

TIME SKIP!!

Aurora: Hold on, you kids wanna know what Ryu likes?

Aurora sitting down with a mug of coffee looked at the three.

Trunks: Yeah, he does nice things for us all the time.

Aurora: Well that's sweet. If you really want to know he does like music. His favorite artist in particular is Daniel Rustage, so something related to him would probably be nice.

Goten: I got it then! Trunks, you can get an autograph signed to Ryu from the guy right?!

Trunks: Yeah!

Aurora simply smiled looking at the kids.

Aurora: 'He'll be happy, but all Ryu wants is to see those kids having a good future.'

ON BEERUS' PLANET

Azure and Beerus were floating in front of each other. Azure was using his Energy of Destruction, however he didn't use any Super Saiyan Forms with it, evident by the white and black color still there.

Beerus: Your strength is impressive Azure, but I'll tell you what impresses me more about you. You're unwavering will to get stronger. To think you have the gal to spar with me in anything less than your full power.

Azure: That's the thing. When compared to Ryu's version of Ultra Instinct, or Ryuko's Destroyer Form, I'm a weakling. I can't just settle for boost on top of Perfected Blue. I want something that's my own.

Beerus: And you think this will help you achieve it?

Azure: Of course not. This is gonna take a lot longer than a sparing session. I'll need to go at it with you for a while before getting where I want to be.

Azure flew in and punched at Beerus, who blocked the attack. As he did, they both smirked.

Azure: Think an ancient relic like you can keep up with constant exercises like that?

Beerus: Who do you think I am? I'll still be in tip top shape when you're an old man.

The two began to clash fist, causing shockwaves to go through the entire planet. Ryu was utilizing his Ultra Instinct to spar against Whis, who for once actually fought back against him.

Whis: So Ryu, what exactly makes YOUR, Ultra Instinct work? We only lightly grazed upon that topic back at the Universe 6&7 tournament.

Ryu flipped back, firing two blast at Whis, who moved side to side to avoid them.

Ryu: Well, doing the thing that requires you to be completely at peace is alright, but it's just not me.

He rushed in trying to deliver a punch to the Angel's face, but he simply dodged.

Ryu: In all honesty, I'm never really have a completely calm mind. So, I decided to look deeper. For me, this technique is all about Freedom.

He went into a low sweep, coming close to getting Whis' legs, but he simply jumped, and when he was about to kick Ryu, the man had vanished, appearing behind Whis.

Ryu: I get to fight however I want. No emotional compromise, no worry about insane stamina consumption, or even a simple time limit, I just get to take the wheel and, and have what's kinda like an assistant that steers me the right path.

He smirked looking up.

Ryu: Believe it or not, I kinda got the idea from Shojo just being stuck in my head.

Shojo: And the funny thing is I don't even help him in fights that much when it comes to anything but strength and healing.

Whis: Well to each their own, and you've certainly found a way that suits you.

They stopped for a brief moment.

Whis: But you can still do much more now that you've made it your own. This was really the bare minimum to start the path.

A fierce clash of power went through the skies, while on the ground, a calm battle of skill commenced.

And within Whis's staff, all hell broke lose with seven fighters training as well.

The chaos of that mess is something I shall spare everyone from trying to visualize.

IN THE DEMON REALM

Towa was walking through a dark maze, as a fire was over one of her hands, while she used her staff to aid her in walking in the other.

Towa: Argh, I'm more out of shape than I thought. Beerus and the other Deities really weakened me.

As she went further, a red glow came into view, as Towa began to smile, letting the fire in her hand go out. As she neared the end, she found the source the glow.

Towa: The dark springs. Exactly what I needed.

She began to undress, before taking a dip in the blood red water. Immediately she began to feel strength slowly, but surely return to her body.

Towa: Mmm, there we go. Just what the doctor ordered.

She looked up thinking.

Towa: I should see what's Fu's been up to.

She flicked her hand, as the water swirled beside her. After a moment, Fu appeared in it.

Fu: You rang?

Towa: How's the collecting going my son?

Fu: It's slowing, I won't lie. It's too risky to go to Beerus' planet, that'd just cause unnecessary trouble, and I won't even get time to make a crystal.

Towa: No need to rush, there's plenty of time. Just be sure that if the fighters aren't incredibly powerful, don't form the crystals right away.

Fu: Yeah I could tell, quality over quantity. But, I do have an idea on where I could get more.

Towa: Oh? Would it perhaps be a different timeline?

Fu: Oh come on! That ruins the surprise for everyone reading reading this! But you're right.

Towa: Well then, on you go Fu.

ELSEWHERE

While sparing with Whis, Ryu shuddered and stopped attacking.

Whis: Problem?

Ryu: ... There's been a disturbance in the fourth wall breaking force.

UNKNOWN AREA

Two people were running as fast as they could down a war zone. These were two familiar fighters were the future versions of Goten and Kina.

Future Goten: Damnit! Come on legs, don't peak without Ki now!

Future Kina: Goten, the more you talk about it, the more it'll bother you later!! Just shut up and- THERE!!!

They saw a workshop with the Capsule Corp logo on it. They entered, before seeing more than welcome faces.

Goten: *Sigh* Miss us?

The future versions of Gohan, Karma, Krillin, and Trunks were in the room.

Future Gohan: More than you realize bro.

They all hugged happily.

Trunks: Did you guys get what we needed?

Kina held up a canister with a blue light.

Kina: Enough for a round trip. Somehow.

Future Krillin: Perfect. Bulma, is the Time Machine ready?

Future Bulma: Completely. Sad thing though, only 2 of us can go in.

Future Karma: Well, 3. I can shrink remember?

Kina: Doesn't matter who else does.

Trunks: Well, we already decided it would be you two.

Goten: Huh?! Hold on Trunks, you've actually gone into the past before! You know what might be ahead while I'm-

Trunks: Stronger than me now, and is currently one of the three strongest warriors left in this time. If experience is what we needed, this mess would've been solved a while ago.

Kina: Let it happen Go. No time to argue.

Bulma grabbed a Capsule, handing it to Kina.

Future Bulma: If anything goes wrong with things in the past, don't worry and just trust me.

Karma: -_- Do you mean you, or present you?

Future Bulma: Yes.

Karma: See if it wasn't me, these two would have full blown panic attacks.

Bulma: Haha, good point! Plus the others would probably be smart enough to get the gist of it eventually.

Before anything else could be said, the fighters were on high alert.

Gohan: GET DOWN!!!

An explosion occurred, destroying the entire laboratory they were in. When the smoke cleared, everyone was shocked, having been scattered.

???: It's sad really.

They heard a familiar voice, which chilled them to the bone.

???: You all tried so hard to rectify your mistakes. However, all you could do was regress.

Bulma: AHHHH!!!!

Trunks: MOM!!!!

Everyone looked in, seeing Bulma held up by a shadowy figure.

???: Your sins have gotten far to large to leave unchecked.

Bulma couldn't speak, as her neck with being squeezed with increasing force.

Bulma: H-Hurry...

A single tear fell into the ground as she smiled.

Bulma: Go now...

They all heard an audible crack, before the body of the future scientist disappeared in a red light.

???: And I'm going to make sure, that this reality suffers of this plague no longer.

Trunks and Gohan angry beyond all belief, seeing the death of Bulma. Krillin as well felt anger, but fear also was within him. Karma watched the scene as there were conflicting emotions for her.

Karma: JUST WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!!!

???: Isn't it obvious?

The smoke began to clear, as the figure had an all too familiar appearance, and smirk on his face.

Ryu?: I'm your dear friend.

Gohan: Cut the crap!!

Gohan and Trunks powered up, enraged at the sight of whoever the man was. Both Hybrid Saiyan's entered Super Saiyan 3, with the battlefield shaking.

Trunks: Ryu Kaizen would never do the things you have monster!!

Ryu?: Believe what you will.

Trunks Gohan and Krillin flew in ready to attack, as the Ryu look alike was ready was ready to attack. However not understanding until the last second, he was caught by a certain technique.

All: SOLAR FLARE!!!

The killer was shocked hearing this, before he was blinded immediately.

Ryu?: ARGH!!! YOU BASTARDS!!!!

Trunks: WE'LL HOLD HIM OFF!!!! STOP WAISTING TIME AND GO!!!!

Goten Karma and Kina were hesitant for a moment, before flying away from the scene as fast as they could.

Goten: I swear, we'll be back to help you guys!

Once they heard more explosions, they were sure the battle had began. Kina took out the capsule, and threw it, as it opened to reveal the Time Machine. Karma jumped down, and immediately became a small fox. Goten jumped in, with Kina going under the machine, bringing out the fuel tank, and put it into the spot required to fuel their travel. She as well leaped up, with Goten starting the machine.

Goten: Okay, the same timeline you came from before!

Once Kina put in the code, urge machine started up. In the distance similarly to the real deal, the Ryu look alike was able to see this from where he was.

Ryu?: NO YOU DON'T!!!

Trunks and Gohan rushed towards him attempting to stop what he would do, but we're stopped when clones of the killer grabbed them, and slammed them into the ground. The original readied a blast, and fired it at them, but fell just short, causing an explosion to knock the Time Machine into the air as if readied to travel.

Karma: NOT GOOD!!!

Shockwaves went in and out the machine, causing pain to course through all the passengers.

Kina: ARGHHH!!!

They glowed, as Goten looked at the switch to take them back.

Goten: D-Damnit...! Move arm...!!

Jolting himself forward by biting his tongue, Goten flipped the switch, which finally stabilized them, and allowed them to begin traveling.

Ryu?: What in the world?

He looked to the downed fighters, only to find they were gone without a trace.

Ryu?: I would've noticed if they ran... This is your doing, isn't it?

He looked into the sky with a serious expression.

IN THE PAST

At Capsule Corp. everything was peaceful. The Pilaf Gang was taking private classes, and the hybrid Saiyan trio were flying back to the building, with Kina having a box in hand.

Kina: Ryu's gonna be so psyched when we give him this!

They landed on the ground, finding that Tarble was meditating.

Kina: Hey dad!

His concentration was broken once he heard the voice of his daughter.

Tarble: Well there goes that accumulation of silence. Hey sweetie. What you got there?

Kina: A gift for Ryu.

Tarble: Ah, I see.

Bulma: What's this I hear?

They saw Bulma coming out on a hover scooter.

Bulma: That's so sweet of you three!

Trunks: Yeah, but it really wasn't easy.

Once that was said, they all were shocked when a light appeared in the sky, before a machine familiar to Bulma and Tarble landed in front of them.

Tarble: N-No, that looks like a...

Kina looked at it confused.

Kina: Why am I getting the weirdest sense of Deja Vu looking at this?

Tarble flew up, and looked into the machine seeing one unconscious familiar face.

Tarble: BULMA, GET RYU HERE NOW!!!

A WASTELAND

Ryu had finished a sparring match with Azure, as the two had returned to earth.

Ryu: Alright, I think that's good.

Azure: Yeah.

Ryu felt his phone ringing, and pulled it out to see it was Bulma.

Ryu: Bulma?

He answered bringing the phone to his ear.

Ryu: Hello?

Bulma: WHY DID IT TAKE YOU SO LONG TO ANSWER?!!! I CALLED YOU FIVE TIMES ALREADY!!!

Ryu: BULMA YOU'VE GOT ABOUT FIVE SECONDS TO DIAL IT BACK AND EXPLAIN WHY THE HELL YOU'RE TRYING TO RUPTURE MY EARDRUMS!!!!

Bulma: IT'S KINA!!! SHE'S BACK!!!

Ryu: Wait, Kina left?

Bulma: NO YOU IDIOT, THE FUTURE ONE!!!!

Azure heard this as well, spitting out his water.

Azure: MY FUTURE NEICE?!!!!

Ryu: START OFF WITH THAT YOU STUPID BITCH!!!!

Ryu grabbed Azure as they both teleported to the building, indeed seeing Future Kina, Future Goten, who was unfamiliar to the boy, and the fox Karma.

Ryu: I swear to God you're gonna be the death of people!!

Kina: I'm sorry, did you just say FUTURE me?!

Goten: Wait, you understood that?

Ryu went over the three, before holding out his hands, covering them in green aura's as the wounds they had began to heal.

Ryu: What's going on here?

The first one to wake was Kina, as her vision was slightly blurry. She saw Ryu first, and her immediate reaction was to go in for an attack.

Future Kina: YOU SON OF A-

He blocked her fist with a single hand, confused.

Ryu: Kina?

She blinked, and realized the differences in the two she saw.

Future Kina: R-Ryu?

Goten and Karma both started to awaken, with the latter transforming into her human form.

Azure: KARMA?!

Future Karma: G-Guys? Ryu?!

Ryu: Okay now I'M confused even more!

Future Kina: Wait, b-but I thought past Karma- And you definitely said you were-

Azure: Oh right you must be confused on how he's alive.

Future Kina: Uncle!!

Future Goten: Wait, so it worked!

Ryu: Hold up, who's this guy and why does he look so familiar?

Future Goten: Oh- I uh- I'm actually Goten.

Goten: WHAT?!!

The time travelers then looked at the kids, seeing their shocked faces.

Future Kina then realized what she did, then bowing.

Future Kina: RYU I AM SO SORRY!!

Ryu: Chill. Just explain what's happened to make you three come back here. Matter of fact, how is a Future version of Karma alive? And complete.

Future Karma: Christ this is gonna be a headache to explain.

Tarble: We're all here, so might as well start now.

Future Kina looked to the side, seeing Tarble. Standing there. That's when she began to tear up.

Future Kina: Dad...

Shojo: So is anyone else just feeling like things are getting piled up on each other?

Shonen: All of us do.

Ryu: Really gonna need that explanation now guys. Seriously.

Goten: I think we all do!
