Ryu Beerus and Whis why flying outside of Universe 7, heading towards the 10th.

Ryu: So you're telling me that this Zamasu has similar energy to Ryu Black?

Beerus: Yes. There is indeed a great resemblance when you ignore your own energy.

Whis: I just have a sneaking suspicion.

Ryu: Why are you helping anyway? I know Time Travel is forbidden, and you both know we're gonna jump ahead.

Beerus: And you know good and damn well an evil you is something that should not be allowed to run free in our reality! Especially since he has the exact same time warping abilities you do!!

Whis: Indeed. If we leave him unchecked, that could backfire even worse than leaving things be.

Ryu: Well, if you wanted to travel Universes anyway, you could've asked me.

Whis slowed them down considerably.

Whis: What?

Ryu: Wait, did you not know I knew the Kai Kai?

Beerus: WHY HAVE YOU JUST LET US TRAVEL THIS LONG THEN?!!!

Ryu: Bonding time?

Shojo: Believe it or not, that was mostly genuine.

Ryu: And also I like to fuck with Gods from time to time.

Beerus: If you weren't the best chef in the 7th and my future rival I would push you into this void!!

Whis: Well to be fair, we didn't ask.

Ryu grabbed the both of them, before teleporting into an odd space.

Ryu: This is the place?

Whis: Indeed.

???: Well well, if it isn't Lord Beerus.

Ryu looked to see two Kai's, who bowed towards Beerus.

Beerus: Hey.

Whis: It's been far too long, Gowasu.

GOWASU!!

Gowasu: This is my apprentice, the Supreme Kai in training. Zamasu.

ZAMASU!!

Zamasu: It is a pleasure to meet you my Lord.

They both looked at Ryu, confused.

Zamasu: 'A mortal?'

Zamasu quickly gained a look of slight anger.

Ryu: I should introduce myself. I'm Ryu Kaizen from the 7th Universe. Nice to meet you.

Beerus: A partial Saiyan that hails from the planet known as Remnant. The planets savior and many times other.

Zamasu: A Saiyan? 'Who is this creature, and what is he doing traveling with a Destroyer?'

Ryu: '-_- This guy's too easy to read, even with self awareness.'

Ryu looked at Zamasu, indeed sensing a darkness.

Ryu: Anyway this is kind of important, it has to do with the Time Rings.

Zamasu: Time Rings? What are those?

Gowasu: How might you be aware of such things?

Ryu: Well-

Beerus stepped in front of Ryu.

Beerus: Ryu has been acquainted with the Supreme Kai of the 7th already, and has learned plenty about the universe. Now we must see if they're all in place.

They moved to a different sanctuary, as after some time, Gowasu had brought out a box, containing similar rings that were worn by Ryu Black.

Whis: All accounted for. I guess the search continues.

Gowasu: Might I ask why you've come to the 10th for a problem I still don't understand the nature of, but know is a matter of the 7th's?

Whis: Oh, well right now we're going from Universe to Universe. We're trying to find a dangerous culprit who also possess a Time Ring. Shockingly, they look like our Ryu here.

Gowasu: I see. For a moment you had me worried I made some grave mistake.

Ryu: Well now that that's covered, Zamasu.

The Kai looked at Ryu.

Ryu: Would it be too much to ask if I could spar you? It doesn't have to be a long one.

Zamasu: Excuse you?

Ryu: Please, it's very important.

Zamasu: I refuse you mortal-

Gowasu: Oh just go ahead and spar with him.

Zamasu was shocked by this.

Zamasu: Master Gowasu, I-

Gowasu: This could provide and excellent opportunity for you. To get to know the mortals better.

Zamasu: ... As you wish.

Ryu: Thank you, this could help with a breakthrough.

Gowasu: 'Let's see how hell he's able to keep his heart in check.' Now Zamasu, of course you will have to pull your punches.

Ryu: PFFFFFFT!!!

Ryu couldn't help himself from scoffing, covering his mouth. However Beerus fully laughed at the claim.

Beerus: Hahaha!! The last person here who needs to hold back is actually Zamasu! Ryu, no transforming alright?

Ryu: Didn't plan on it.

Zamasu: Transforming?

Whis: And for good measure, just don't use your bases full power. It's not going to be good if you accidentally start a universal war.

Ryu: You act like I'm Goku, I'm pretty sure only he'd do that.

Ryu faced Zamasu before stretching his arms and legs.

Gowasu: You say he can transform to increase his power, but yet tell him not to?

Beerus: Whis was serious about the war thing. If Ryu transforms, Zamasu may meet his end.

They went to the grass, as Ryu smirked, ready for battle.

Ryu: Alright, come at me. Haven't fought a full fledged Deity for real since Lord Beerus.

Zamasu: YOU fought a Destroyer?!

Ryu: Come on, I don't have forever for his.

Gowasu: Is that true? This mortal has gone toe to toe with you before?

Beerus: Something like that.

Gowasu: My goodness! This doesn't make any sense to me. How is it possible he's still alive after that?!

Ryu put a hand up, motioning for Zamasu to strike first. Zamasu got into a stance, before dashing forward to land a chop at Ryu. Unimpressed, Ryu simply tapped his hand, but forced Zamasu to spin to the side.

Ryu: 'Alright, now to test the waters.'

Ryu created a blast, holding back however, and shot it towards Zamasu. Having to quickly react, the Kai exploded in a purple aura, firing a blast that canceled out Ryu's.

Ryu: 'Yup. Ignoring my energy, this is REAL close.'

Ryu dashed in kicking at Zamasu, who was unable to react, and thus taking the full brunt of the attack. This caused Zamasu to buckle over from the force and pain.

Gowasu: I can't believe my eyes!

Whis: If you find this power impressive, you should've seen the battle on GodTube.

Beerus: Indeed. While he's still not powerful enough to match myself, that mortal over there-

Beerus smirked watching Ryu effortlessly parry Zamasu's blows.

Beerus: Well, he's one of 3 mortals I know of that can be classified as stronger than Destroyers.

Gowasu: Lord Beerus, do you truly mean that?!

Ryu grabbed Zamasu's hand once he tried going for a chop.

Ryu: 'His strength is good, but not all that impressive in comparison to the higher beings. I think even the time travelers could beat him, easy.'

Ryu let his hand go, before smiling putting his hand up, stopping Zamasu from attacking once more.

Ryu: That's enough. Thank you for the spar.

Zamasu was shocked hearing this, seeing Ryu turn around.

Gowasu: Who is this man? He's certainly no Deity, yet his strength surpasses that of most Destroyer's!

Beerus: What that referred to me as well?

Gowasu: AH- No, not you! Your own power is certainly above the rest of the Destroyer's.

Ryu: I can't say that for sure, but I know Beerus is definitely ahead of me.

Zamasu: What was the point in this spar?

Ryu stopped, looking back at the annoyed, and confused Zamasu.

Ryu: Well, I'm a curious individual.

He gave a nonchalant smirk.

Zamasu: So you simply wanted to test your own strength against mine?

Ryu noticed negative emotions slowly rising within Zamasu.

Ryu: Actually, Lord Beerus, Whis, do you think we could spend a bit more time here?

Beerus: O_O Wait what?

Whis: I mean... I don't exactly see why not.

Ryu: Gowasu, you wouldn't mind if I could speak to Zamasu privately right?

Gowasu: I... Well, conversing with a mortal would help his understanding of them grow, so it can be arranged.

Zamasu: Master Gowasu!

Ryu: Oh lighten up. I'm just going to answer your questions.

Ryu walked towards Zamasu, with no ill intent in the slightest.

Ryu: At least a few about mortals.

This surprised Zamasu, as Ryu left the sanctuary. Zamasu quickly followed. Ryu took in a deep breath, looking at the lush greenery around them.

Ryu: Man, this is a beautiful, view don't you think?

Zamasu: Uh- Well to you I suppose it would look grand.

Ryu: I haven't seen a lot of places like this. Land that's had eons to flourish.

Zamasu: That's enough stalling. You said you would answer my questions.

Ryu: Fine fine.

Ryu sat down, not bothering to look at Zamasu.

Ryu: For why I spared you, it was mostly out of my curiosity. I don't fully understand this reality even with all my knowledge. So I try to find different ways to learn. I felt like sparing with you gave me some idea of how differently Kai's can act.

Zamasu: What?

Ryu: Compared to my own Supreme Kai, you want to get things done a lot more, am I right?

Zamasu was shocked to hear these words.

Zamasu: H-How could you know that?

Ryu: Like I said, you can learn a lot in a fight.

Zamasu seemed to get into a defensive stance.

Ryu: Hey, I'm not looking for another one.

Zamasu: You're just a mortal, how could you ever comprehend a divine being?

Shojo: That's actually a funny story.

Zamasu was shocked hearing another voice.

Zamasu: Who is that?!

Ryu: Oh, just the spirit that lives in me. Her name is Shojo.

Zamasu: A spirit?

Shojo: Been here since this idiots first life.

Zamasu: First? You mean you've have more than a single life? How old exactly are you then?

Ryu looked up at Zamasu with a grin.

Ryu: From what I can remember, I've existed for a couple thousand years.

Zamasu: COUPLE THOUSAND?!!

Ryu: I'm older than you at least. In my very first life, I was actually a Dragon Deity. So I have more experience than you in that regard.

Zamasu: Y-You lie!

Ryu: It was in another reality, so I understand why you'd think that.

He looked forward forward into the distance.

Ryu: I still don't understand everything even after so long.

Zamasu: So you're telling me, even with thousands of years, you don't understand what the Deities are thinking?

Ryu: As Kaiser I was limited to the planet I was born to. I kept it safe, and watched over from above. There were other God's as well. For some reason, they thought that bringing destruction of those residing on that world would be best.

Zamasu: Mortals constantly fight with each other, and inevitably destroy themselves.

Ryu: I can see how you'd think that.

Ryu turned to Zamasu.

Ryu: After all, there are beings who become evil, and just destroy for the sake of destruction itself.

Zamasu: So you agree with me?

Ryu: Nah.

Now Zamasu was truly perplexed.

Zamasu: But you just told me the exact flaw of the Mortals!

Ryu: Pfft, why do you think Gods exist?

Zamasu was surprised to hear this.

Zamasu: W-What,

Ryu: What do you think Gods start out as Zamasu? They all start off as Mortals. The only exception is Zeno, who's the King of Everything.

Zamasu: ...

Ryu: The God's are meant to help Mortals each their potential, and protect the universe in order to do so.

Ryu stood up after saying this.

Ryu: Though I do agree with you on one thing. The way things are going now, is slow. I'm my universe, Beerus and Shin are mediocre at what they do.

ELSEWHERE

Beerus: ACHEW!!!

Beerus sniffled, while Whis and Gowasu backed away.

Whis: Catching a cold my Lord?

Beerus: Of course not. *Sniff* Who's trying to be destroyed?

7TH UNIVERSE

Shin: ACHEW!!

Shin looked around confused.

Shin: Could someone be speaking of me?

BACK TO THE 10TH

Ryu: I actually think they know it. However Kai's and Destroyer's are meant to have separate roles. If you both went around destroying and creating life, that'd result in rushed and sloppy work.

Zamasu: All of what you say is contradictory!

Ryu: That's a lot of the Gods, don't you think?

Zamasu was about to speak, but found himself unable to refute that.

Zamasu: Then what would you propose?!

Ryu: Instead of having two do each other's jobs, there should be a true balance.

Ryu looked back at Zamasu with a serious look.

Ryu: Beings that are able to correctly pick up where the Kai's and Destroyer's lack.

Zamasu: What?

Ryu: Destroy the planets that Kai's fail to see won't prosper, while also creating planets to replace the ones that are destroyed right away.

He started to walk back.

Ryu: This way, there will be more time to guide Mortals away from paths of war and Destruction.

He walked past Zamasu, leaving the Kai stunned.

Zamasu: ... Ryu!

He turned to the man who still walked.

Zamasu: Do you intend to become a being like that?!

Ryu stopped, thinking about the words Zamasu said.

Ryu: ... I used to say I wouldn't be around to protect this universe forever...

He turned his head to Zamasu.

Ryu: But I didn't say I'd be gone right away.

He started walking once more.

Ryu: Certain mortals are meant to become Gods Zamasu. There lies their potential to do good.

Ryu teleported off, leaving Zamasu there.

Zamasu: ... You certainly are different. Not a God, but yet, not exactly the same as other mortals are you?

He smiled unknowingly.

Zamasu: One I can actually tolerate.

Ryu walked back into the sanctuary, as even Shojo thought of his words.

Shojo: Ryu. Do you really think you can become what you hate?

Ryu: ... Well, not all Gods are idiots. If I have to become one of them, then I know what not to do.

Ryu teleported back to the sanctuary.

Ryu: Ready to go.

Gowasu: Where is Zamasu?

Ryu: Oh, I'm sure he's just rethinking some things.

He smiled at Gowasu.

Ryu: Thanks for that Gowasu.

Gowasu: Yes indeed. It was a pleasure to se you all.

Whis: Until we meet again!

Beerus: Later.

Ryu placed his hands on the two.

Ryu: Kai Kai.

He instantly teleported, shocking Gowasu.

Gowasu: Did he just say Kai Kai?! How in the cosmos did he learn that technique?!

They arrived back on Earth in Universe 7.

Ryu: By the way Whis, where are the girls?

Whis: Training in my staff of course. They were very adamant in not being interrupted.

Azure: Leave em be. We got this.

Ryu pounded his fist together.

Ryu: Right.
