Trunks and Kina were left there contemplating their whole perceptions of power. The two had just been spared by Cell and the unhinged Karma. Kina dropped to her knees not sure what to think.

FLASH BACK (FUTURE EDITION)!!

Trunks and Kina were clashing with wooden blades but the two were younger. Seemingly just entering their teens. And older, and slightly unhealthy Ryu watched over them.

Future Ryu: Good. Don't stop, you've been using Total Concentration for hours.

They kept clashing as eventually Trunks knocked Kina's sword out of her hand.

Trunks: I DID IT!!

Future Ryu: Good job kid.

The future hero looked at Kina.

Future Ryu: Kina, your strikes were great, but you lost too much grip on your sword.

Kina: Sorry Master Ryu...

Ryu patted her on the head but still had a mostly serious expression.

Future Ryu: It's alright, but just remember treat practice like it's a real fight. Against the Androids. Cause there won't be any second chances against them.

Quickly he zipped over to Trunks chopping him over the head seeing his smile.

Trunks: OWW!! What was that for?!!

Future Ryu: -_- The same reason I'm doing this.

He swept Trunks off his feet spinning him in the air.

Future Ryu: Never get overconfident in your own abilities. That's part of the reason why I was never able to kill the Androids.

Kina: But even when you say you "Don't have a lot of time left" you're still strong enough to move faster than either of us can track! You even spared with Gohan in your base form!!

Future Ryu: *Sigh* Kids, did you ever notice?

Trunks: Huh?

Future Ryu: My power goes down faster than you could think. Even that little move right there took some out of me. My aura constantly tries to heal this wound, so I'm weaker than ever, and I can't use any of my abilities I once had.

He pulled up his shirt showing the bad scar and flickering blue and red light.

Future Ryu: That's why I only ever spared with Gohan for minutes at a time once a month.

He pulled the shirt back down.

Future Ryu: I'd be killed within minutes. I can never go Super Saiyan unless I want to shorten my lifespan more. You two are the hope of this world.

They both looked at Ryu nodding determined. Kina ran to get the blade and while grabbing for it she saw a dusty picture frame. She wiped it revealing that Ryu Azure Erica and Karma were in there. Although she could only recognize Ryu.

Kina: Uhhh, Master? Who are these people?

He walked over before seeing the picture. Kina looked at Ryu before seeing his smile and a tear falling from his eye.

Future Ryu: ... My old team.

Trunks came over interested.

Trunks: Hey, doesn't that guy look like Kina?

Future Ryu: That's because you're looking at your uncle.

They were both shocked.

Kina: Wait, that's Uncle Azure?!! Th-Then is the person next to her-

Future Ryu: Your technical aunt. They never got to get married but at times it seemed like they were.

Trunks: Then who's that?

He pointed to the girl with red hair. Ryu's smile seemed to widen ever so slightly.

Ryu: ... One of my oldest, and one of my closet friends. Karma Gemini. She was mischievous at times, kind of an oddball. But in all fairness we all were in our own ways.

Then a voice spoke up.

Future Shojo: Especially you.

Future Ryu: '16 years into an apocalyptic future and you've STILL got plenty to say huh Sho?'

Future Shojo: 'Will for the rest of time.'

Future Ryu: But, she was the most caring. Always was. Hell if I didn't find the love of my life I probably would've gone for her. Course she was Bi so it wasn't a sure bet.

The two looked at the fox Faunus.

FLASHBACK END!!

Kina: C-Could that really be the same person Ryu talked about?

Trunks: She's so... I don't even know how to describe it!!

One or both of them would power up in a fit of rage if they weren't completely drained. Right then Krillin Tarble and Vegeta arrived.

Tarble: Where are they?!

Tarble you at Kina seeing she began to cry. That's when his fatherly side kicked in as he dashed towards them kneeling in front of Kina.

Tarble: KINA!! ARE YOU OKAY?!! DID THEY HURT YOU?!!! DO YOU NEED A SNACK?!!!!

The shocked everyone present.

Kina: D-Dad?

Tarble: YOU STUTTERED!!! THAT'S IT!!! VEGETA WE'RE GOING BACK TO THE TIME CHAMBER!!!!

Vegeta: Wha-

Krillin: Tarble calm do-

Not taking a second to respond Tarble flew to Krillin roundhouse kicking him making the bald midget fall to the ground.

Krillin Owned Count: 40

Trunks: O_O

Kina: O_O

Tarble: Listen here Krillin!! Make a fool out of me all you want at your own risk: BUT TOUCH MY BABY GIRL AND YOU SEAL YOUR FATE!!!!

Kina didn't know how to process this information actually seeing Tarble being overprotective.

Azure: ... What the fuckery?

Shonen: Yeah I'm not too sure what's going on here either.

Aurora grabbed Azure by the collar.

Aurora: WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FUTURE BABY?!!!!

The child Kina was just watching completely confused.

Azure: Ah... Well... Jesus Piccolo help out here.

Piccolo: From the looks of it, Tarble is being an overprotective father.

Aurora: Wait that's all?

Erica: ALL YOU SAY?!

Aurora: Tarble nearly blew up a city just for looking at our daughter wrong on Remnant because she had a tail and they thought she was a Faunus.

Tien: ... What?

Nail: I never saw that coming.

Kami: Hell hath no wrath like an angry father.

Azure: *Sigh* Anyway they better get out soon.

TIME SKIP!!

Everyone was on the lookout waiting for the three to get out of the Time Chamber. Before that, Cell and Karma announced that they would hold a tournament known as the Cell Games. It would be an old fashioned tournament with brackets and simple one on one fights. If either of them came out on top, the world would be destroyed.

Kina: How much longer until they come out?

Popo: They've been in there for about 23 hours.

Vegeta: Bah, no reason to assume they'll think a day is enough. Chances the two-

Azure: No.

Vegeta: What?

Azure: Ryu's not the idiot you are. He won't spend more time then he needs.

Vegeta: Do you want to repeat-

Azure gave him a glare that could melt ice. Though the prince was currently stronger he didn't feel like testing if that could change.

Piccolo: Far as I'm concerned they can spend as much time as they want if it helps them beat those monsters. We've got 9 full days left that's more than enough time for everyone.

Erica: Besides, you just got out of there. Piccolo Azure and I go next.

Vegeta: Don't over estimate-

Erica gave the Vegeta a similar glare Azure did and for some reason it scared him even more than the previous once.

Vegeta: Fine, but once you're out the Chamber's mine for the remaining 8-

Tarble punched Vegeta over the top of the head.

Tarble: Don't make a bigger fool out of yourself than we both already did.

Piccolo smirked at this.

Piccolo: Afraid I've got some sobering news.

Erica: 48 hours is the limit. Can't go over that.

Vegeta: Th-Then what happens if someone goes over?!

Azure: The door vanishes and is never seen again. So if you wanna be trapped in that space for eternity be my guest. One less headache.

Everyone heard a slam confused before sensing immense power. Right then they heard rapid footsteps.

???: HIIIIIYA!!!!

Not even a second had passed as a flying figure came out drop kicking Vegeta across the face nearly sending him off the lookout. This was revealed to be Ryu who was in Super Saiyan. Everyone was confused. Minus Azure and Erica.

Ryu: I'm back.

Azure: Good to have you back leader.

Goku and Gohan soon walked out also on Super Saiyan.

Goku: Man, Cell and Karma are still hanging around down there too.

Vegeta: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!!!

Ryu: LETTING THOSE TWO TRANSFORM THAT'S WHAT!!!

He looked at Tarble with his arms crossed.

Ryu: Seriously, you're supposed to be the smart brother.

Tarble: Screw off, I know I fucked up. I admit that.

Trunks: Ok, I'm gonna dress the obvious elephant in the room, how are you in Super Saiyan acting like that?

Gohan: Oh right. Well when we went in Ryu explained that trying to ascend was kind of pointless since the energy drain and the backlash of the Grade 3 form was to great.

Goku: So we mastered this form. We had our bodies acclimate the Super Saiyan so now we can use it for pretty much forever without draining energy.

Vegeta: WHAT?!!

Ryu: So Super Saiyan for us can practically be base form.

Erica: So the big question. Can you two defeat Cell and Karma?

Ryu: No idea. Gonna have to see for myself. I'll be right back.

He teleported as everyone was slightly confused.

Azure: So, was that instant transmission or~?

Goku: No, it was. He's improved it to the point he doesn't have to focus hard for far distances.

In the arena made by Cell Ryu arrived seeing the two far different from before.

Ryu: Yup, that's how you looked before.

Cell: Well if it isn't the hero of other worlds.

Karma turned looking Ryu with a smirk.

Karma: Glad you made an appearance. Although we'll have to wait until the tournament actually starts. Let's move somewhere a little bit more suited for a one on one talk.

Cell: Fine, not anything I'd want to hear anyway.

When Cell blinked they were gone as they had teleported to a nearby rock formation.

Ryu: How much do you remember?

She shrugged.

Karma: Everything I'm pretty sure. That doesn't exactly matter to me at the moment though.

Ryu: You realize you can stop this right?

Karma: Please, I think we both know that isn't going to happen.

Ryu: We're still friends. We can end this without senseless destruction. This isn't you Karma!

Karma hearing those words seemed to be a bit angry.

Karma: Oh really?! Well I guess you don't know me as well as you thought!!

She clenched her fist looking at him.

Karma: I'm not being controlled right now. I'm not faking this to get Cell's guard down. While Gero converted me into a Bio-Android his programming for me to kill you didn't effect me.

Her eyes glowed.

Karma: I had four years, and each day I began to realize, that deep down, I still despise your kind. All the discrimination since childhood. All the insults. All the cruelty. Yeah those feelings were suppressed since I found out that all of you weren't horrible... But Gero made me remember.

Her eyes stopped glowing as she seemed saddened.

Karma: This is me. The REAL me.

Ryu: ...

Shojo: 'For the first time he's being put up against one of his closest friends while they're both in control. What are you going to do? That could decide the fate of the entire Universe.'

Karma: So, if you want to stick to your guns and let me destroy this planet, be my guest.

She walked past him.

Karma: But at least put up a fight. Otherwise, it won't be nearly as enjoyable.

The next instant she was gone as Ryu looked at his hand.

Shojo: You think you'll be able to do this?

Images of his team flashed in his mind as he even went back to when he had first met Karma.

Ryu: ... Well, we'll just have to see when the time comes.

He teleported as he arrived to Korin's tower.

Korin: Ah, Ryu.

Ryu: Sup Korin.

Korin: I saw what happened. I'm sorry.

Ryu: *Sigh* If I'm being honest, I can't say I didn't expect some sort of situation that pitted me against one of my friends to come up.

Yajirobe: Hold on, you saying you knew that psycho and you would have to fight?!

Ryu: Not in the slightest. Anyway, I need a strength gauge here. You can pretty much sense both Karma's and Cell's full power right?

Korin: More or less. Go on.

Ryu: If this messes up your tower, sorry in advance.

He took in a breath clenching his fist.

THE LOOKOUT!!

Both Goku and Gohan were out of their destroyed Saiyan Armor changing into more normals attire. Goku was back in his normal turtle school Gi, but Gohan was in a much different outfit from usual courtesy of Piccolo. His Gi was purple exactly like Piccolo's, but the belt and wrist bands were bright red. The final touch was that he had steel toe boots, much like Ryu himself.

Azure: ... You guys feel that?

Krillin: What do you-

Before Krillin could finish his sentence the entire lookout began to shake violently.

Tien: THAT ENERGY!!

Aurora: What is he doing?!!

Goku: My guess, he's powering up for Korin!

Erica: IS THAT IDIOT TRYING TO DESTROY THE LOOKOUT?!!!

Back on Korin's tower a golden aura was shooting out of Ryu as he yelled.

Ryu: HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Yajirobe was hanging on to a railing for dear life as Korin was about to fly back unable to open his eyes.

Korin: FOR THE LOVE OF KAMI STOP POWERING UP BEFORE YOU DESTROY EVERYTHING!!!!

Hearing those words Ryu quickly stopped as rocks from bellow fell back onto the ground as the clouds from all around were blown away.

Ryu: Sorry, had a little pent up rage in there. It was about-

Goku: 40 percent.

Piccolo: That was just 40 percent of his full power?

Gohan: Yeah, give or take.

Vegeta: YOU LIE!!

Tien: If that was just 40 then imagine what he's like when he maxes out.

Not waisting anymore time Azure grabbed both Piccolo and Erica.

Azure: We waisted more than enough time.

Aurora: Oh great he's in a mood.

Korin: Good grief boy, how much power will it take until you think it's enough?

Ryu: Korin everyone knows there isn't enough power in the world for that.

Korin: Well, if I had to say... They both still have you outclassed.

Ryu: *Sigh* I had a feeling you'd say that.

Yajirobe: No way! You're telling me this guy who was about to tear this whole place down from screaming can still be beat by those monsters?!

Korin: But it's not by some insurmountable margin. I recon another year in the Time Chamber would be more than enough.

Ryu: *Sigh* That'd be IF I didn't go mental. I feel like I wouldn't be able to discern the fake voices in my head from the real one.

Yajirobe: The what?

Ryu: I'll just focus on something else. Thanks Korin.

He jumped off of the lookout.

Ryu: -_- Alright then, now I've gotta tell the guys on Remnant that Karma's gone full psycho mode.
