Chapter 3: Robot Riot! The Starting Line
Thanks for the reviews, favourites and follows. Really appreciate it. I had to split this and the previous chapter into 2 parts, because it was getting way too long. So I hope you enjoy it.

When Goku stepped off the bus, he looked at their destination with wide eyes full of wonder. Battle Center C wasn't just a single building. It was like an entire mock city with mostly empty buildings. All of it surrounded by tall walls. It was almost intimidating to just stare up at the giant gate where the participants were standing.
"This is nuts." One of the students stated.
"It's like a whole city." One of them who has spiky red hair replied in astonishment.
"Can you imagine how much it cost to build this?"
"U.A. is amazing!"
Many of the applicants voiced wonder for the Battle Center and praised the school's effort in giving them a challenge. Goku just stood there looking at the wall. He'd changed out of his uniform and put on a orange gi top held by a blue belt, with a black T-shirt underneath, brown wristbands, black pants and blue boots with red bottoms. Around his forehead was the redhand band he had since he was a kid. He clenched his fists tightly, feeling nervous and excited about going in there and starting the test.
"Not getting cold now, are ya?"
Looking over to the side, Goku sees Vegeta standing next to him, wearing a long-sleeved white jacket reaching the abdomen with yellow patterns on the shoulders over a blue tank top and fingerless, black gloves. He also wears black pants with a brown belt with a silver buckle that has the royal crest of King Vegeta engraved on it. He sported white bootswith yellow tips and heels.
Goku shook his head. "Not really, just kinda taking it all in." He explained. Sure, he's seen the simulation cities before, but he could have sworn they were 100x bigger now.
Taking a good look at all the examinee's, most of them seemed pretty underwhelming. The few that even remotely stood out to her were was a tall guy with 6 arms with skin like webbing attaching them all together, a guy with red spiky hair that resembled horns and a rather short kid with strange hair that looked like....grapes?
However, Goku then spotted a familiar brown hairstyle and focused on the person. It was that girl he and the others met earlier today, Ochaco Uraraka. Goku smiled a little. "Hey, it's her."
"Huh?" Vegeta questioned, looking over at who his rival was referring to. "The girl from today?"
"Yeah" Goku nodded.
"What about her? Vegeta asked, gaining an amusing smirk. "You got a crush or somethin?"
"What, no!" Goku deadpanned. "I just figured it would be polite to wish her good luck is all."
"Yeah, sure you do," Vegeta mocked.
Goku rolled his eyes and started walking over to Uraraka, who was currently preparing herself for the exam. "Hey, Ochaco!"
"Huh?" The brunette perked up at her name, and turned around to see who it was. "Oh, Goku! Didn't know you'd be here too." She said in surprise.
"Yeah, seems like we got the same center." Goku chuckled with a grin. "You ready for this?"
Ochaco chuckled, rubbing her arm "Yeah, I'm a bit nervous about it though."
"Nervous?" Goku asked, blinking. Was she worried that she wasn't going to get enough points? The fact that she was here meant she wanted to be a hero too, which meant she must've had a strong Quirk to help. "Hey, don't worry. I'm sure you're gonna do great! I actually came by to wish you good luck."
She breathed a small sigh of relief, "Thanks," she said, "I'm just worried because my quirk isn't really made for offense." Goku was about to give her more reassurance when everyone heard President Mic yell over a loudspeaker.
"AND...BEGIN!!!"
Turning to where it was coming from, they saw it was coming from a tall tower that was overlooking all Battle Centers.
"WHAT'S WRONG? GET MOVING! THERE ARE NO COUNTDOWNS IN REAL BATTLES! RUN, RUN, RUN, LISTENERS!"
The moment Present Mic stopped talking, Goku and Vegeta simultaneously leapt off their feet and rushed forward, leaving the other participants behind.
"Holy crap! Did you see those guys? They're moving at like supersonic speed!" Goku heard one of the examinees loudly exclaim. Vegeta, on the other hand, paid them no mind.
"Yeah, what the hell are those guys? Some kind of speeding bullets? Oh crap, we have to move in quick before thy steals our kills!" Another shouted as everyone was already running into the city.

Battle Center B, Moments earlier...
When Izuku left the bus, needless to say, he was a little more than skittish about the whole thing. His whole body was shaking and he had a wobbly smile on his face.
Everything lead up to this. After years of being told he could never be a hero, that he had no chance into getting in his dream school. It all would end here. He just couldn't fail. He would prove everyone wrong. He would be a hero. A hero that would save everyone with a smile, just like his idol that has aided him for so long.
"Hey, are you doing ok?"
Izuku was snapped out of his thoughts by the girl standing right next him, Cele Leigh. The girl had her hair in a high pony tail, wearing a pink-blue tank top, blank jogging pants, brown finger-less gloves and a pair of snakers.
"O-oh, I-I g-guess I'm just t-trying to take i-it all in is all." Izuku answered with a blush, which gained an understanding nod from Cele.
"Yeah, it does seem a bit nerve wracking." She responded in a pretty casual tone. All in all, Cele wasn't really too nervous about all this. Compared to fighting with her brother and Goku in tournaments and fighting simulated opponents, this would be considered child's play.
It wasn't that Cele was insulting the other examinees, it's just she didn't really see them as all too impressive, for lack thereof a better word, based on what she could sense of their power levels. Maybe that was the Saiyan in her talking. And despite Izuku's rather plain looking appearance, Cele could tell that he was much more than meets the eye.
"You don't seem awfully nervous." Izuku said with a sweat dropped as, despite everything going on, Cele was sporting a pretty laid back expression and tone.
"Well compared to you," She said with a small smirk causing Izuku to lower his head in embarrassment. "I guess I'm just used to this sort of thing."
"Really?" Izuku asked with his curiosity now peaked. What did Cele mean by that? Was she used to situations like this specifically or just high pressure scenarios in general. Most likely the latter.
How so?" Izuku asked.
Cele stretched her arms and legs, getting ready for the oncoming battle, making Izuku noticeably blush."I've just been in a lot of tournaments," She said, "My whole family has. Ever hear of the Tenkaichi Budokai?"
Izuku blinked at the name before perking up. "You mean the World Martial Arts Tournament that was held many years ago?"
"Yeah!" Cele said, "My brother and Goku, the boys you saw with me, met by fighting in one and making it to the final round."
"That's incredible!" Izuku said, "They must have incredible quirks!"He started mumbling to himself about the possibilities while Cele just laughed a bit.
That was when the greenette felt a strong grip on his shoulder. He looked back to see a face that made flinch and Cele frown.
"It would you have yet to cease that muttering of yours." It was the guy that had called them out in the lecture hall. He was wearing a dark blue tracksuit with strips. Due to being outdoors, Izuku and Cele could now see he had what looked like engines in his calves.
"What are you going to do? Distract everyone here so they'll do poorly on the trails ahead?" He said in a scolding manner.
Izuku quickly pulled away as his blushed turn into an embarrassed one as he waved his arms around trying to defend himself. "N-no! You got it all wrong! I-I w-wasn't trying to do that I swear!"
"Hey isn't that the guy who almost fell at the entrance?" One of the examinee's stated in a mocking tone.
"Yeah, and he almost wet himself in the lecture hall."
"What a los-"
But before any of them could say anything more, they were met with an ice cold glare from Cele, making them all flinch and shut up. Cele then went over to where Izuku and the other guy was. When he went to them, she grabbed the latter's wrist in a tight grip that made him wince in pain.
"Do you have some sort of problem with him?" She said in a cold tone that match the stare she was giving him. "All we were doing was having a conversation. And once again you show yourself to be a complete hypocrite as you accuse him of going to distract someone else, yet you're doing exactly that right now."
"But I was just-"
"Not only are you distracting him, but it's easy to see you made him especially nervous which would hinder his progress." Cele stated giving the engine legged teen a disapproving look. After that, Cele finally let go of his wrist, pushing him back as well. "Next time, mind your own business." She said as he walked off rubbing his wrist.
Izuku let out a sigh of relief as he looked back at the girl that stuck up for him with a small smile. "Thank for doing that, I really appreciate it." He said as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
Cele simply gave a small smile and nodded. She really hated when people get bullied, so she was happy to stick up for the freckled teen.
"No problem!" She said with a smile on her face, "Gotta protect my future comrades."Just then, they heard someone over the loudspeaker.
"AND START!!!"
Before anyone knew what was happening, the gates to the fake city were opening. Everyone then turned to Present Mic, who was standing on top of the gate to the city, in confusion.
"Come on everyone move it! There isn't any count downs in real fights! Those two are already way ahead of you right now!" The Pro Hero announced to all the examinees.
Sure enough, when everyone looked forward, they looked in surprise to see that Cele and Izuku, who was being dragged by the wrist by Cele, all running past them and into the simulation city. Everyone else wasted no time in running in after them, ready to get points to get into UA.
"AAAAAAAH! L-LEIGH! PLEASE LET ME GO!" Izuku yelled as he was caught completely off guard with Cele grabbing his wrist and helping him get past the gates.
"Sorry!" Cele apologized as she let go of Izuku's wrist allowing the boy to run with her on his own will. "Just had to act fast!"
"Y-yeah, thanks for that." While Izuku didn't want to relay on the help of others all the time, he had to admit, it was nice to have people looking out for you and lending a hand.
Cele then looked over at him, "By the way, just call me Cele!"
"H-Huh!?"
"Just Cele" she repeated, "No honorifics, it feels forced."
"O-ok," Izuku said, "In that case, call me Izuku."
"Deal!" Cele chirped with a smile. "There's a split path up ahead." Sure enough, up ahead was a crossways that lead into three directions. "That's where we'll part! I'll go left!"
"T-Then I'll go right!" Izuku said as he pretty much had no choice in which way to go.
"Good luck!" Was what Cele said as the two split up and headed in their respective directions.
Now that she was alone, Cele halted her run and listened to the environment, trying to pinpoint the location of any faux villains. As though the heavens had been paying attention, a nearby brick wall shattered like feeble glass, and two large green robots with bludgeons for arms jumped out, aiming to clobber her into the ground.
Cele was briefly taken aback by the size of the robots, but was agile enough to hop over their heavy swings, which left small craters in the road. When she was above the mechanical monstrosities, she slammed her sneaker-clad feet into their heads, driving their bodies into the concrete.
After landing, she checked the robots' crackling carcasses, and saw that the number 2 was painted on their metallic torsos. She nodded approvingly. Four points right off the bat was a good start.
By now, a handful of other examinees had caught up to her, and were staring uneasily at the downed robots. Cele simply ignored them and continued running down the road; if they wanted to hang around and waste time, that was on them.
As she ran, she heard the clanging of metal coming from behind her, and turned around to see a short green robot rolling towards her on a single wheel, its red eye gleaming dangerously in her direction. At the same time, another robot of the same make leapt down at her from a building, intending to squish her like a grape.
Seeing an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone, Cele lifted her hands and caught the falling robot with ease with her supernatural strength. She then spun it like a discus and hurled it towards the onrushing robot, and watched with satisfaction as the two machines exploded upon collision.
"I wonder how Vegeta-nii and Goku-san are doing...?" She pondered before continuing on her way.

"Big Bang Attack!"
*BOOM*
Several dozen robots were sent flying as Vegeta blasted them all away with a powerful ki attack, a move taught to him by his grandfather, who in turn was taught his by his own father and his father before that.
"What's the matter!? Is this all you machines can manage!? Show me what you're made of!"
Some of the other applicants seemed freaked out by his power, he had a look in his eyes that made them worry for their own safety. Even with the rule against hurting other applicants, they didn't feel really comfortable around this guy.
It wasn't an exaggeration to say that to most of them, their chances of passing the exam were completely screwed. So far, the guy had already claimed 80 Villain points!
'Pfft, pansies.' Vegeta spotted another robot nearby, a challenging smirk etching across his face. "Now for you!" He launched himself at the robot, fists clenched tightly. "Mine mine mine mine!"
Vegeta reached his target and quickly a furious exchange of blows commenced. It wasn't soon after that his opponent was overwhelmed. A hard punch broke through the robot's armor. Vegeta then put both hands together before smashing them into the ground, eliminating them.
{"Target acquired!"}
Vegeta looked to his side to see about 4 robots, 2 two points and 2 three pointers, coming towards him. Vegeta smirked like a mad man as his fists shook in excitement. "What you wanna be turned to scrap to!?"
The robots kept charging, not reacting to the Caspule heir's words.
Vegeta simply laughed in a matter that matched his grin. "FINE BUT DON'T BLAME ME FOR WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN YOU CHEAP HUNK OF-"
"Hah!"
Out of nowhere, Goku appeared and performed a roundhouse kick on one of the 2-pointers. He then quickly grabbed it by the arm, before throwing over his shoulder and into the other robots.
Goku then raised an arm and yelled. "Take this!"
A quick, but power blast sent all the robots flying created a large cloud of dust and debris. Once the dust cleared away, Goku was seen dusting his hands off. "Okay, that's gotta be 81 points."
"HEY!" Vegeta shouted gaining the boy's attention. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!? GET YOUR POINTS!"
"You snooze, you lose, Vegeta!" Goku chuckled. "They're free game!"
"Screw you!" Vegeta shouted before before taking off in a different direction, blasted a building apart and destroying seven 3 pointers in the process.
The descendant of Goku turned around and gazed back at the other examinees, the fearful looks on their faces as they looked back at him. "Don't worry, he's actually a really nice guy once you get to know him." Goku assured them with a grin. "Anyway, gotta run!"
Before he could be on his way, the ground beneath him split in half, forcing him to hop out of the way lest he want to fall into the abyss. From the resulting hole crawled another green robot that was slightly larger than the two-pointers he'd taken out earlier, and looked a lot deadlier. Aside from its sturdier frame and thicker forearms, it also had two turrets atop its shoulders, adding to its intimidating appearance. "Whoa!"
The red marking on its side revealed this robot to be the three-pointer. To Goku, it somewhat resembled a mecha tank he had seen in an anime a while back. Maybe that was where the makers got their inspiration from?
Suddenly, the turrets pointed in his direction and spewed forth a handful of homing rockets, making Goku raise an eyebrow in curiosity. He had expected blunt objects and non-lethal pellets to be among the weapons used by the robots, but actual rockets were a different proposition entirely. He then shrugged; they probably contained sleeping gas, or other debilitating vapours.
Keeping that in mind, he launched forward and weaved past the rockets. Then, when he came within range of the three-pointer, he rammed his right fist into its torso with such force it drilled a hole clean through. However, the robot wasn't out of commission yet, and clasped its hands above its head in preparation for a double hammer fist.
Not wanting to let the machine get that far, Goku thrust his other hand into its torso, and then ripped the robot in half like a flimsy piece of paper.
From the corner of his eye, Goku spotted another three-pointer aiming its turrets at a group of examinees. As soon as the robot fired its homing missiles, Goku formed two ki blasts in his hand before sending them in their direction. Midway through its airborne flight, the missiles exploded upon being hit by the energy attacks, therefore avoiding the examinees. The robot turned to face the half-saiyan's direction, only to find Goku jumping well above it.
Goku channeled his ki throughout his legs and dropped himself on the three-pointer, making sure to stomp his feet against the back of its neck. The blow drove off the head of the robot, causing it to briefly sputter out of control before deactivating.
"What the hell, this guy is an absolute monster!" From the group of prospects he had diverted the missiles away from, an orange-blonde haired boy with a black lightning streak shouted those words, as Goku inspected the remains of the fallen three-pointer.
"Yeah, he's absolutely amazing! What kind of Quirk does he have!" A pinked-skinned girl admired aloud, as she laced a liquid-substance at the feet of a one-pointer.
After finishing off his latest adversary, Goku moved towards where he heard the most commotion, and found himself in a large open space brimming with action. Smoking robot corpses of various shapes and sizes were strewn across the road, while examinees darted to and fro in hurried panic.
"Wow, she's good," Goku commented as a grin formed on his face. "I gotta admit...I'm enjoying this a lot more than I expected."
He then let out a short kiai, a flame-like blue aura blasting into existence before he blazed off into the sky of the lake like a comet.
"Now he can fly!?" The pink-haired yelled, holding her head. Seriously, how many amazing abilities was this guy about to pull out of his ass!?

Monitor Room
Clearly, the examinees have no idea how many villains are present, or their locations." One of the test observers inside of a dark room said. The only source of light was from the multiple TV screens that showed multiple views of the different testing sites. "They have limited time, must cover a vast area, and hunt down every last target."
One screen showed an examinee with almost winglike arms.
"Some use information-gathering."
The next one showed Iida.
"While others rely on speed to pull ahead of their peers."
Another showed ablonde blasting another robot with a belt around his waist.
"Of course, remaining calm under pressure can be a huge advantage."
One screen showed Bakugou after obliterating some robots.
"As can pure power and combat ability."
Then three other screens to catch his attention showed Goku, Vegeta and Cele, all smashing their way through multiple robots.
"The most successful students use a combination of all these tactics. They're the ones who rack up the highest scores."
"Hm, I'd say this year's group looks promising," said one other teacher—a female one.
"Well, there's still plenty of time before it's over," said a different teacher. On the controls, a glass box opened and allowed access to a large red button. "The real test has yet to come." They pressed the button. "Let's see how they react."

'Maybe I let myself get a little too carried away.' Goku thought as he barraged a one-pointer with a series of ki blasts, sending it to join the scattered remains of its robotic brethren.
Explosions rang through the air as the exercise went into its final minutes. In the home stretch, the participants in Battle Centre were now attempting to destroy as many robots as they could find to bolster their score.
'If my estimation is correct, then I've gotten around ninety battle points already. Much, much more than I had intended. I guess in the end, the thrill of the exercise got to me. Still..it should be enough for me to be in the upper echelon of the practical exam. Grandma should be very happy at least.'
"Holy crap! It's the zero-pointer!" Goku heard a examinee near him shout.
The ground beneath Goku's feet began to crack in half as the city began to shake. Goku turned to look behind him, and witnessed an enormous robotic monolith emerge from the ruins of several fallen buildings. The thing stood several stories high, easily towering over the highest monument in the fake city, with eight glowing red eyes on its head and a base shaped like a mechanised tank.
"Whoa!" Goku said in awe and shock.
Many of the examinees who were near to the zero-pointer began to panic as the behemoth approached. None dared attack it; everyone began to run away from the zero-pointer as it began to attack the fleeing students. Gohan remained standing where he was, as he examined the robotic frankenstein of the other three robots.
'A part of me kinda wants to fight this thing, even if there's no point.' Goku thought as the others ran past him. 'A reckless idea. The best option right now is to disengage. I've already attracted enough attention with my performance - I don't want to be pushed more into the spotlight than I already have.'
Goku was about to fly away, until his ears caught a piercing cry from behind him. "Ow!"
Turning his head towards the voice, he found himself looking down the street. It was Ochaco, and she was trapped. Lying on her stomach, her leg was crushed under a large amount of debris. She tried to crawl away, but the rubble was either too heavy, or worse her leg was broken.
Goku's brain flashed back to when they first met. How nice she was to him and the other, even though she didn't know them. Her cute smile, her bubbly nature.
Up above, one of the robot's massive hands was reaching down for her.
It was as if his body was acting on autopilot. Ignoring those he passed, Goku bounded forward and warped to the location of the trapped individual.
There was a noise like a collision as the Ochaco turned around to see what had saved him. An astounded sight greeted her eyes. Goku, muscles bulging and straining so hard that he was shaking, had a hard grip on on the robot's massive hand and was holding it back with just muscle power alone.
"G-Goku?" Uraraka said in awe and shock.
The Zero-Pointer pushed and forced the saiyan back a few inches, the warrior's feet digging furrows in the hard and solid ground. He couldn't let go, he knew he could take the hit but Ochaco couldn't.
"Not yet..."Goku ground out through gritted teeth, skidded back another few inches as the robot pushed more. "I'm not done yet!"
A white aura exploded from his body and he began to push back against the robot. He floated and pushed the robot's hand up with him, it tried to pull its hand back but had a death grip on it. He threw the robot back and it stumbled and began falling back first onto the the street where dozens of students were watching. "NO!"
Before he could try to catch the robot, a familiar voice came from the back of the robot.
"Galick Gun...FIRE!"
A giant blast of fuchsia-colored energy, almost as large as a car, erupted from his hands and blazed toward the broken robot. The techniques hit the machine with full force as it was blown apart by the overwhelming might of the attack. The attack lanced out over the sky, throwing up walls of dust on either side as it shot into the air.
"Get down!" Someone yelled, before everyone (but Goku) dropped to the ground as the Galick Gun exploded with enough force to make the ground jump then slam into them. They were enveloped by a hail of dirt, hurricane winds and rock a second later as the immense strike expended the last of its energy. Then the light began to fade and the debris shower subsided.
Finally, Goku and the others felt secure enough to look up. When the other examinees got their first look at the scene, their jaws dropped. Vegeta was striding towards them with a massive crater and a billowing pillar of smoke as his backdrop. The young half-saiyan of royalty stopped and looked at them before smirking proudly.
"Vegeta," He looked over to see Goku walking over to him. "Thanks, I owe you one."
"Hmph, you owe me more then that" Vegeta told him. "But, considering I got the last attack in, we'll call it even."
"Time's up!" roared the seemingly omnipresent voice of Present Mic, signifying the end of the exam.
"Tch, and here I was getting warmed up." Vegeta grunted, folding his arms.
"Yeah, I hear ya. Still, it was kinda fun." Goku grinned, before a thought crossed his mind. "I wonder how Cele did. Since the test is over, we should go meet up with here."
"Fine, anything besides standing here and being stared at."
Goku looked confused at that. "Huh?" He asked, before noticing the stunned stares of his peers. He then blinked and gave them a grin. "Hey everyone! Hope you all get into U.A!"
"Moron.." Vegeta muttered, before walking for the exit. "I'm done here."
"Hey wait up, Vegeta!" Goku callled out, following after the widow's peek teen.
The others just looked at the two boys with unbelieving expressions, as if they had never seen a sight where one fifteen-year-old held back a giant robot with his bare hands, and he other finish it by vaporizing half a block and replacing it with a huge smoking crater.
"What kind of freak of nature are those guys? They can fly, have super strength and super speed, they can shoot energy beams out of their hands. I've never heard of Quirks like that. They're probably strong enough to take on the average Pros."
"The mean one took out the zero-pointer as if it was nothing. All of us were terrified to even go near it and he took it out with a single energy blast!"
"He's a total monster! Does he even have a weakness? Kami, we better hope this guy doesn't turn evil one day!"
"The one in orange is so strong, and a total babe. He even said that girl from getting flatted. If we didn't have a written test to do next, I would totally ask him out!"
Meanwhile, Ochaco had finally managed to free herself from she was trapped under. When she stood up, she looked over at the pair, mostly at Goku as they set off for the exit. 'He...saved me...' She thought, bringing a hand to her chest.
