Just one day after the announcement of the martial arts tournament for teens, a boy and a girl both 16 year old were having a training match on Mount. Paozu. The boy had spiky black anime hair, with blue eyes. He was wearing black gi secured by a red sash on his waist and red boots and wrist bands. A monkey tail was coming out of the region below his waist.

The girl had brown hair and eyes and was wearing a purple gi with pink undershirt, secured by a pink bow obi around her waist complete with pink boots and wrist bands.

"Come on Lina, don't hold back!" The boy said.

"Alright then take this!!" The girl whose name was Lina sent a burst of flames from her hands towards the boy.

"Now you are talking!" The boy said and sent a beam of energy out of his hand. The two attacks clashed causing a mini explosion. The boy went into the smoke his hand glowing yellow. He swung his fist on Lina but she blocked it with her fist covered in fire.

"Nice move Tyson!" Lina said.

"Focus on the fight!" Tyson said and swung his other fist which was again blocked by Lina.

"Gotcha!" Lina said and took a deep breathe and then exhaled flames. Tyson was sent flying back.

"Woah! I never expected that!" Tyson said getting back up but Lina just smirked.

"Try this then!" Lina said. Flames her as she started charging up her heat energy. She then fired a large amount of heat while yelling,"Flaming Cannon!"

"Okay!" Tyson said and charged up his ki and slammed his fists together his arms outstretched. He yelled,"Mega Cannon!" A wave of yellow energy shot out of his hands. Both attacks clashed causing a big explosion. As the smoke faded both fighters were still standing.

"That was a good fight!" Lina said.

"Yeah! You surely have improved!" Tyson said.

"I think we should head back home now!" Lina said and Tyson nodded. The both charged ki and flew off with a great speed.

After about 2 hours of flight two landed right in front of a house shaped like and igloo, but made of concrete and cement in West city.

"Won't you come in for sometime?" Tyson asked.

"Sure!" Lina said and both walked in.

"Dad! I am back!" Tyson said. A man in his mid thirties came out he had same hair as Tyson's but his eyes were black.

"Oh Tyson! How did the training go?" Tyson's father asked.

"It went good dad!" Tyson said.

"Good afternoon  sir!" Lina appeared from behind Tyson.

"Hello Lina, and please call me Paul!" Tyson's father said.

"O-kay..... Paul!" Lina said.

"You two must be tired so go freshen and change while I make something to eat!" Paul said and left. Tyson and Lina both changed clothes turn by turn.

Tyson was wearing a white t-shirt under a open blue shirt and blue jeans. Whie Lina was wearing a purple t-shirt with light purple shorts complete with a pink belt.

After they both had lunch which was white sauce pasta made by Paul. Soon after finishing their pasta they both went for a walk in the park.

"So any new moves you thinking about?" Lina asked.

"Yeah I am thinking of a new melee type move... You?" Tyson asked.

"I am working on an move when I am in my electric form!" Lina said excitedly.

"Oh cool!" Tyson exclaimed but then he saw a crowd of people in front of a wall," Huh?! What that?"

Tyson and Lina walked towards the crowd and asked the a bystander,"Hey whats happening?"

"The Z-fighters are holding a tournament! The top four will get training from the best teachers of in Martial Arts on Earth!" The bystander replied.

"You mean Goku, Vegeta, Tien and Picolo!!!" Tyson and Lina yelled in unison but the bystander just nodded.

"I am sooo gonna take part!" Tyson said.

"So am I!" Lina exclaimed.

"But before you take part, I think you should tell your parents about your powers", Tyson said in a serious tone.

"Is it really important..." Lina frowned,"I don't know if they will be happy to know about it or not..."

"They are your parents, they would be happy to know about it!" Tyson tried to cheer her up.

"I will talk to them tom-" She was cut by Tyson.

"Today!" Tyson said,"Come on!"

Tyson started running, Lina was hesitant at first but then started running. They both reached Lina home and stopped right in front of the door.

"Go on, I am standing right her!" Tyson said giving her a smile.

"Uh... Okay..." Lina said entering her house.

"All the best." Tyson muttered under his breath. For about half an hour Tyson stood there. Suddenly the door threw open and Lina came out, her face was hung low such that her hair was covering her eyes.

"Lina you okay? How did it go?" Tyson asked a little worried.

"They", Lina started,"they..."

"They what?" Tyson asked.

"Allowed me to take part!!!!!" Lina suddenly burst out in happiness,"They said they were proud of me!"

"Congratulations Lina!" Tyson said,"But I think we should stop training together for now!"
