Chapter 4: Death Or Life

"I-I want to go to heaven." Nylah said. Confirming her decision. Gasps could be heard around her.

Artemis appeared in front of Nylah. She was in her human form, just like Nylah's dream.

"What? Why?!" Artemis panicked. "It's because I was meant to die. It's what fate wanted. So I'll take the fact that I'm dead and just watch over my friends." Nylah explained.

"I'm sorry... This was your decision, but fate wants you to live on." Artemis said after a few minutes. Her voice was breaking.

She didn't want her master to die. She wanted to keep living with her. Their time together was short.

She wasn't ready to go. Not yet.

"What would happen if I chose to live." Nylah wondered. "You would've lost your memory of your first year at DA. Nothing else." Artemis said, sadly.

"You won't remember me, your friends, and the fact that you're a hero. It's... Cliche but that's how it is." Artemis answered.

Nylah stayed silent. "Would I look the same? So that my friends could remember me?" Artemis nodded.

"You will have a light blue piece of hair somewhere. It shows the spirits that you are on your second life. After that you're gone. No decision." Artemis admitted.

Nylah thought about it. She closed her brown eyes and took a deep breath. "Can I at least spend more time with you before I lose my memory?" She whispered.

Artemis smiled softly. She snapped her fingers and a beautiful flower meadow appeared.

The wind was soft and blew throughout their hair. The trees swayed in the wind along with the grass. The two girls smiled and laughed.

They spent their last few hours together. Until it was time.

"Say goodbye now. It's now your time." A voice said. "God? Is that you?" Nylah joked and giggled.

"Matter of fact. Yes. I am God. It's now time to go, Nylah Light." The voice said a hint of amusement in his voice.

Nylah stopped giggling and looked at the blue sky in amazement. "Oh mer gurd." She whispered in a derpy voice.

Nylah took in a deep breath and looked back at Artemis. Who smiled in sadness. Nylah couldn't hold back her tears.

Nylah ran towards the tiny girl and picked her up. They both twirled and fell into a soft patch of flowers.

"I have something for you." Artemis said shyly. Nylah gave a lopsided smile and hugged her again.

"Here." Artemis pulled out a flower crown from behind her and put it on Nylah's head.

Her eyes softened and looked at Artemis. Though she was older she looked like a little sister to Nylah.

"Thanks." She whispered. They hugged for the last time then everything went white.

"See you again... master."

Sapphire's pov:

I whistled as I rocked my feet back and forward. I was a spirit, undercover.

I had to wait for a person who can control spirits and help her/him fight or something.

I was picked and wasn't informed too well about this. I then thought of Katarah.

'What would I tell her? That I'm a werewolf who is a guardian of spirits?!' I thought.

You see. I'm a werewolf. I was suppose to be in werewolf academy but they didn't have any room.

I was then transferred to Dragon Academy since I found out I had a dragon. She was a fire dragon and I named her Scarlett. Scar for short.

I got suspended for the first year since I did something really extreme for a prank. I'm a troublemaker, rebel, and athletic nerd. I love math and I'm very advanced for my age.

I was doing college math and other classes. Not to brag or anything.

I call myself a nethlete. Nerd and athlete together. Pretty impressive, huh?

I'm on my second life. I found all my memories by myself and here I am. A guardian spirit. So awesome!

Then, a girl appear in the light. She had big brown eyes that was filled with confusion. Her black hair shined in the light and a piece of blue hair hung from her forehead.

"Done fawning over me?" She chuckled. I snapped out of my daze and blushed a little.

"N-nah. Anywho, you Nylah Light?" I asked. She nodded and chuckled again.

She flicked my forehead. I glared at her and flicked her forehead. "YAS! Someone like me! I can tell we'll be great friends!" She smiled at me.

I smirked. "Anywho, we're wasting daylight lets go. You're in your second year at Dragon Academy. You haven't found your dragon yet." I lied.

She wasn't suppose to know anything about what happened before and they told me what happened.

I didn't like lying to a person like her. Her friends are suppose to tell her.

If she believes it.

We walked out and appeared in front of her house, Katarah and Clemintine (she introduced me to the others already) we're in the city of peace getting stuff.

They didn't know their Nylah was back. They were just told that they'll get another roommate.

I sighed and I entered my house, Nylah following me. I then told her the basics and what I was told to say.
