       She was limping on her way onto the cot. Spark helped her for those few steps. I knew she was hurt badly.
        She winced sitting down onto the cot. She grabbed her leg and pulled it up and laid down.
       "I was worried when you left, but I figured you would be ok knowing your fighting skill." I told her
      "Figures you slept the whole time didn't you?" She asked
      "Yes, yes I did. Is wasn't sleeping very well though just cat napping. And one more thing if you're going to leave for a long time tell me where." I told her
      "I promise nothing but I will try." She said curling up beside me using my chest as a pillow.
      "Goodnight." I told her, put my arm around her and we were both asleep.
      The next morning I woke up first. I nabbed us some food and brought it back to the tent. I found a sleepy Zoe sitting on our cot sharpening her sword.
      "Good morning." I happily told her.
      "Unless you have food I suggest you shut up." She growled barely opening her eyes.
      "I have waffles and coffee." I told her and she perked up tremendously.
      "Good now sit down." She told me scooting over. "Hey can you call Gabbie over when we are done eating? I need her to look at something."
      "Sure what happened during the fight?" I asked her.
      "I'll tell you this much... It was all I could do to get over to the cot with Spark's help last night."
      "I noticed it wasn't dark magic was it?" I asked her.
      "Yes it was I think it may have poisoned me." She said looking at the ground.
      "Let me see, if you can barely walk it has to be bad." I told her.
      She uncovered her right leg to show me. It has gotten infected and was slowly rotting away.
      "I'm taking you to Gabbie." I said picked her up, and carried her to the medical tent where Gabbie was making her rounds.
       Gabbie saw me carrying her and rushed over. Asked what was wrong, but before I could answer she saw her leg and sent us to a cot.
      "What did you do this time Zoe?" Gabbie asked while cleaning the wound.
      "Was fighting... cursed sword... Think curse was poison... Ahh that hurts!" She said and winced.
      "Yeah yeah I know it hurts but let me work on it." Gabbie said
       She kept digging around in the wound like she was looking for something. Gabbie then drained out a small amount of poison.
      "That should help the wound a little bit. Jessie can you hand me the wrapping?"
      "Um sure, so what do we do now?" I asked handing her the soft bandage.
      "It's what do you do now. You must take her back to your tent and make her stay put. She needs rest and to keep the leg immobile. You must take care of Zoe until her leg looks semi normal again." Gabbie explained.
      "Do you realize how hard it is to keep Zoe in one place? What you ask isn't a easy feat even when she can barely walk." I complained.
      "Yeah Gabbie I have to get up I've got a army to lead!" Zoe barked "On second thought a nap sounds nice." She mumbled after Gabbie put something on the wound.
       "There she should sleep for a while."
      After that Gabbie sent us away to our tent. I of course had to carry her back.  Along the way Gabbie said that she would have Greyson lead the army for a little while.
      I agreed to this because I know I couldn't even though I know the maneuvers and plans. I walked the rest of the way back to our tent.
       On the way in I knocked over her boot and a paper fell out. I put her in bed, wrapped her up before I moved to the paper.
      I picked it up opened it and it said...
      'Greyson we got your message. If she manages to kill us both she will at least come out too hurt to lead the army. We have already set the trap and bring them up the east side of rebel country. We will be waiting there for you. No messing up or goofing up the trap either you are one of us and will carry on Blaze's legacy.'
      'Oh no Zoe must have found this somewhere I'm Greyson's stuff. I've got to stop him from leading that army.' I thought.
      I ran out of our tent and straight to the medical tent. I found Gabbie and showed her the note. She was amazed at it and we both knew he had to have something done so he couldn't lead.
       Gabbie lured him onto a sick cot. I was laying below it ready to tie I his hands and feed. As soon as he was in position he was restrained.
     "Hey why are you doing this to me?!" He yelled.
     "This is why!" I yelled back at him showing him the paper. "I don't happen to know of anyone else who fits the description. You showed up from nowhere seduced one of our own and betrayed us!" I continued
      "Yes Greyson you can't wiggle your way out of this one. You could have killed Zoe or any of us for that matter!" Gabbie growled.
     "But I didn't I promise! I was leaving that side to come here! I knew the trap was on the east side of rebel country. That's why I was going to take them to the west and attack from the back." He pleaded.
     Just then spark poked his head through the door with Zoe on him. We all scowled at her for getting up.
     "I'm not walking now come here and take me to that cot!" She demanded and I helped her to the cot.
      She handed me a piece of paper it read...
     'Im sorry I can't do this anymore. The fake relationship I was supposed to have turned real. I can't hurt her so I must join them. I have begun to consider their leader as a sister. I have made friends here I don't belong with you all anymore. I'm sorry if this hurts you but I choose to follow my instincts.' 
     We all just stood there looking at the note and each other. I was amazed that he would do something like that. 
     "So untie him and let him plead his case!" Zoe demanded from the cot she was on.
     "Yeah I'm loosing circulation to my fingers!" Greyson demanded
     "Shut up dragon breath! I'm the boss here not you." Zoe barked at him.
     "Fine please untie me?" He said submissively.
     Zoe nodded and Gabbie untied him. He sprang up instantly and started to plead his case.
     "So furthermore if you let me lead we can take out the brunt of their forces!" He finished up.
     "I don't want you to lead if anyone will it's going to be Jessie or Gabbie. You can help but they will have the final decision." Zoe insisted "Ya know another nap sounds good right now.." She said after Gabbie gave her a stronger sedative.
     "Will she stay asleep this time?" I asked Gabbie
     "Yes I believe so. It knocks most out for at least six hours, so you should have some peace for at least three." She said
     "I need to stay and take care of her you need to go." I told her. "Take Tuesday with you to make sure he doesn't get out of line."
      "But I don't know if I can." Gabbie pleaded
      "Gabbie I know between the three of you that you can make thus work. Now get to planning while I babysit Zoe." I told her.
      After that I carried her back to our tent, and made sure she stayed asleep. It was boring work until she woke up.
      She was rather groggy thankfully, so she didn't realize what was going on. She tried to talk but it was slurred. All that I could manage to make out was...
      "What was the stuff she gave me so I can have it banned?" She mumbled in her drugged state. "I feel tired, will you nap with me?"
      "Sure" I said.
      I scooted her against the tent wall so she couldn't leave without me knowing. Zoe laid her head on my chest and she was back asleep.
      "Sleep well beautiful." I whispered and put my arm around her.
