Some trainer camp?
Char nudged me in the arm managing to roll me over. I woke up to find a dragon nose staring me in the face. (Dragon boogers aren't a pretty sight).
"What girl? I don't wanna move." I mumbled moving out of the way of that nose.
"We must leave your father is searching for you and is almost as far as he can go in dragon country." She told me
At the thought of my father being hurt or possibly dying I jumped up dawned my cloak, and was ready to go in a matter of seconds.
"We must hurry!" I said mounting up and we flew off to go find my dad.
"You can't tell your mom of what has happened. Your father can know but not your mother."
"Why can't I tell mom?" I asked Char
"Because it would endanger her life. If a mortal like her were to find out of our world she would have to die. Mortals can't understand us the shade distorts their view."
"What's the shade?" I asked Char
"The shade is a cloaking mist I guess you could call it. It turns our world into something they can make sense of." Char explained to me
"So only trainers can see through it?" I asked wanting to learn more
"Most can see partially through it. In places where the shade is thick even trainers can't see through the shade." Char said
"Alright..." I said still full of questions. I decided not to ask because dad was bound to be close. "Char fly down I think I see him! DAD I'M UP HERE!" I yelled when I saw him.
Dad looked up saw me and waved happily. I got Char to fly down and we landed beside him.
"Hey squirrel did you finish the prophecy?" Dad asked happily.
"Dad I don't know if it's over yet. All I did was defeat Blaze I don't know what will happen next." I told him
"Aaron it's almost time to let her go. In only a few weeks there will be a all out war of bad dragons and trainers trying to kill her." Char told him in the most serious tone I had ever heard from her.
"Dad what does she mea? And let me go what's going on?" I asked
"There is a training camp in the eastern edge of dragon country. That is a place where new trainers go to learn how to tame their own dragon and learn to fight off the bad ones."
"But, but..." I said trying not to have a fit for having to leave.
"Squirrel it's for your own good you will come back for school but that is where you will spend summers." He explained interrupting.
"Yes Zoe it's for your own good you have a week to get some essentials for the journey. It will be long and hard there will be decisions along the way." She told me I shook my head and we flew off to home.
We set down in the arena like always. Dad and I got off and went to see mom.
We had a nice reunion, and dad took mom off to explain that I was going to a camp nothing more. By the time they got back I had my hammock, net (for fish), and basic supplies packed. The only thing I needed was a little bit of food for the journey.
"Squirrel you leave in six days. The journey will be long and dangerous. There are more enemies than dragons out there. You will face beasts, and demons of all shapes and sizes." He explained seeming like I would go at this alone.
"So this means I'm going alone?" I asked
"Yes I cannot go I had my training there. Never mention that you are my daughter. If you do tell it to someone you trust. I'm a legend there for my mischief."
"Alright, well is the place just for dragons or can I take he dog?" I asked wanting to know more of the place I was going.
"Yes I suggest you take Molly she will protect you from the smaller monsters." With him saying that I was sent off to go train for fighting.
