Jessie

I woke up to find Zoe still asleep beside me. She was muttering curses and apparently trying to get rid of a demon in her dream. I couldn't help but snicker at her quietly.
She rolled over to where she was facing me showing her dyed red hair. She muttered some more and pulled the blanket over our heads. She laughed quietly and kissed me. I kissed back for being so mean she was a good kisser.
We pulled apart and laughed at each other for a moment under the blanket. We kissed again but this time Greyson ripped the blanket off of us.
"Ooo look what if found!" The idiot squeaked
I pulled the blanket back up and yelled through the blanket.
"Leave us alone go make out with Gabbie or something!" I barked at him. "Sorry about that shall we continue?"
"Sure." And she kissed me again. "You're funny when you're mad at him because he looked at us."
"Sure, now let's get up before we are interrupted again. If he gets Tuesday up we're screwed." I said kissing her one more time.
We had breakfast Zoe and I decided to leave early, so we could go and resurrect some old trails. She made her way down to the old trailhead me still being a little far back.
I finally caught up to her. Zoe chucked a pair of work gloves at me. I just looked at her holding them in my hands.
"Why do I need gloves if you don't?" I complained
She simply grabbed my hand and pulled me over to a patch of lucifer's thorn. Zoe touched it and made sure to scratch her finger a little bit so the poison got in. I just looked at her confused. She took my hand and did the same thing on the same thorn. I jerked my hand back and held it with my other had.
"AHHHH WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!?!?!" I yelled in pain from the poison.
"Hold on a second it won't kill you for another hour or so." Zoe said calmly knowing she had anti venom in her bag.
My skin was swelling up and turning black right before my eyes. My eyes got wide and I fell down. She rummaged through her bag and found it. She took a drop of the anti venom and put it on the cut. It instantly healed right in front of us.
"Lucifer's thorn is poison to all. Few know the cure like me, I learned it from char."
"Then why didn't it hurt you when you were scratched?" I asked
"I'm immune to lucifer's thorn and a host of other bites and stings." She explained
"How?" I asked me tilting his head to the side.
"Well for one remember that potion I drank to heal from the sword wound?"
"Yes I remember that. What does that have to do with it?" I asked
"That was the potion of healing. That potion gave me the power to heal myself infinitely, but if I chose to heal another person I would loose the power after I healed the person if I didn't die first. I feel pain like everyone else, and if there is dark magic involved it will take a long time to heal. If you were hurt by dark magic you wouldn't heal." She explained
"Wow that's amazing! But couldn't you drink the potion again?" I asked
"If I drank it again it would kill me." She told me
"Wow, is that like some dark magic or something?"
"Yes it is dark magic. Why do you think that it's so deadly if used the wrong way."
I just looked at her in bewilderment. She had always fought dark magic never partaken of it. I knew she was going to die if she didn't but still.
"Alright back to the real world with you." She said tapping me on the forehead.
"Sorry got lost in my own thoughts."
"Well put the gloves on and start pulling up these weeds."
I knew better than not to listen. So I began pulling weeds one right after the next. Cutting down the small trees and briars.
About half way through the 4 mile trail I came upon a illegal plant. I pulled it and asked Zoe about it.
"Jessie this trail used to be on Craig's land. I have no idea what you will find here. Just toss it aside and if you find any others do the same." She said like it was nothing.
"You aren't phased by anything are you?"
"Nope very few things will get to me. I've seen it all I've seen death life legal and illegal things. It's all normal in my life and I accept it."
Zoe kept breaking trail and we worked our way to the end finally. Zoe of course anytime she would see a monster she would go up an kill it before I even had a shot to.
'Could she really heal someone? But that would hurt her if not be a death sentence? I don't want her to ever heal anyone. But what if she needed to heal someone?' I thought to myself I was broken out of thought by reaching the end of the trail.
"Thanks for helping me clear this out. This will help with getting the young dragons up here." She said giving me a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"You love me!" I said kissing her.
"You think you're so smart don't you? I'm your girlfriend you idiot." She said hitting me on the side if the head.
"Fair enough... Let's find our way out of here and head back to camp." I said
We walked out of there and flew back to camp. It felt like forever because she had gone ahead of me. 'This girl is amazing and chose me. I just wish her dragon wasn't so fast. I guess that is a good thing though because there are so many dragons out to get her.' I thought as I flew.
My thoughts were broken by Tuesday coming up behind me having puff blow a plume of smoke. Otum spun around and was ready to light them on fire before I even knew what had happened.
"Are you thinking about Zoooe?" She said slyly
"Yes as a matter of fact I am. Now go pester Gabbie while I try to catch up to Zoe." I told her a flew off that top speed.
I found Gabbie just up ahead chasing Greyson. She looked mad so I dove off to the side and went around. I thought is was smarter not to get between the two dragons.
I finally made it up to where Zoe was. She was just mindlessly killing monsters again. Then she stopped killing things an flew down. I followed her and what I saw was amazing.
           She had found a small nest with a dragon egg, and one was hatching. Char curled up around it and covered it with her wing.  There was a small flash under it, and see stood revealing a small black dragon.
          "Um... Do we know where the mother is?" I asked hoping that we could get out of there quick.
          "You're looking at the mother." Zoe said gesturing to char who looked rather proud.
          "Chars a mom?" I asked being a idiot.
          "Yes now let's get this back to camp before a monster gets it." She said as the small thing spread it's wings.
          It wasn't a very good flyer, but for being it's first time I thought it was alright. We made it back to camp and all was well.
