Chapter ten: Trust issues
The Illusionist's P.O.V.
"Of course, of course. Whenever I'm called it's because someone wants something done." I say while rolling my eyes in such annoyance. "As if you've never done that before. Just hurry up." Right now we're in the castle she's made into her base. It's awfully dark. So dark you'd get lost in the shades of black and obsidian colors. What I see before me are two dragons. One green and one purple.
"Ah, so these two are what that Queen's endermen were raving about. To think you actually stole them. Ok, I'll get to work." And in a matter of seconds, my pupils distort and turn pink, then glowing which reflects into the eyes of the chained up dragons. Now they're no longer growling and look directly to Darkness as I've made sure they're obedient pets to her.
Darkness' P.O.V.
"Good! Now you did say you would get me your followers." Tomeoura rolls his eyes at this reminder. "And I'll of course keep my promise.." Is my choice of words as I pinch the bridge of my nose. "Nobody will know you're here. You're safe with me as long as you don't backstab me."
And again I continue with my words. "But how can I trust you completely? I've seen you manipulate and control people more times than abled to be counted." His eyes dart around for a second, most likely to think of some sort of answer. "Well... I wouldn't do it to you! And besides, I haven't manipulated you." "Yet. But perhaps you don't need to get your dogs of followers right now. Just walk around, go to some other world or whatever."
I start to walk off as he'd be in for a surprise. "But what am I supposed to do now?" "Just go off somewhere. Make some friends with endermen. I really don't care as- Shocker! Planning an attack can make someone very busy." Luckily I then hear him walk off and away as I wanted. Surprises aren't meant to be seen.
The floor around has violet flames emerging and those flames rise, then die back down and I'm in another room of the castle. A simple bedroom with an enderman in the corner sitting at a desk. "So... How's it coming along." "You're just in time! It's just been finished and I let me just say, I'm very proud." Glancing over his shoulder, I see what I expected. A golden collar with magic binding runes engraved. "That looks marvelous-" Then I pause at seeing something a bit over the top. There are spikes on the inside of the gold neckwear. "Spikes? I appreciate it but I don't want to kill him. Now we'll have to make another on-" The enderman puts his hands up. "No, no, no. These spikes won't kill him. They're too small. They may hurt but it makes sure he won't fidget with the collar. If he tries to get it off, he'll move it around which makes it hurt even more. Their purpose is he'll stop trying to get it off."
It seems to this is a reason to cause him pain... But why should I care? I suppose it's not that big a deal and could help me out. "Fine. Since it's ready." I extend my hand to take it and so I do. Upon him not rejecting me, I then disappear with flames away from him.
The purpose of why I had him make this is because that guy has little to no loyalty. This is the only way he'll listen. It'll bind his magic till I take off those runes so he can use magic. I can also cast more magic runes on this collar so he knows he can't go against me. And if he makes me hallucinate, I'll know. And if he uses any other more physical magic, I could over power him by casting runes on the collar again.
(Tell me if something's explained oddly or weird because I probably worded it wrong. Or spelled bad. And criticism especially. What's the scale of the quality of this chapter from 1/10)
