Will's P.O.V.

Hot. It's far too hot. The boiling pool of lava a meter away from me makes me feel like I'm melting alive. Even so, I still make the effort to mine the diamonds as are the others. Elisha told us diamonds are more common where lava is found. As greedy and selfish as she is I have to admit she's knowledgeable of where to find things of value.

Crack and shatter! The head of my iron pickaxe shatters into pieces from me being caught in my thoughts and digging it into the stone too hard. A sigh escapes my lips in annoyance. "My pickaxe shattered, I'll go get a new one." I tell the group while walking away with disappointment. "Will, wait. Isn't it dangerous to go alone? A creeper could sneak up on you or you could get shot by a skeleton." Ace informs me so nonchalantly which is quite depressing. I've been here for a month and all I do is dig for resources in this gigantic cave system. "You're right, let's go together. We can't waste anytime-" "You too can just leave. We're almost done anyway, so you two can just stay and rest." Elisha speaks up.

Ace shrugs shoulders at himself before walking into the darkness with me. Luckily there's torches tonight our way despite the darkness in the corners along with dark paths in the cave completely unlit.

"We need to leave the cave. We can't just keep eating spider meat forever. Eventually we'll run out of resources too." I whisper into Ace's ear to make sure nothing inhuman can hear us. "Of course. I know that but they won't let us-..." One of my eyebrows raise upwards at seeing four spots of golden glows in one of the unlit paths of the cave. "What the hell-" Ace grabs my arm and pulls me away. "We have to go... I don't know what the hell it is " I can hear the fear in his whispering voice which sends a shiver within me.

"Wait! Wait- WAIT!" A slightly deep female voice yelled with running footsteps. I try to look back at her but am pulled to harshly and quickly to get a good look at her. 

Running further down the lit path, there's a creeper and skeleton. Luckily the skeleton misses us by a couple tiny millimetres. Ace pulls me to the left where we run into unlit path. Ace suddenly lets go and I huff and puff from the running as does he. Suddenly, a scream is heard and with a thud. "A- Ace?!" I yell but hear heavy breathing from who must've fallen from a height. 

"Will?! I- I think I'm in a hole! I fell! Go get help!" At the moment I stand frozen, not knowing if I can do anything due to who ever has been following us. "Will?" "Yes- yes?!" "Why are you still here? Go get help!" He yells making me turn around so fast I almost trip, seeing those golden glows and see who it is. A girl and an owl. Though she looks human beside the eyes, I immediately feel fear coursing through me making me run the other way. 

I make sure to keep close to the stone wall to try and avoid the hole or ledge Ace is stuck in. ""Where the hell are you going?!" He yells but I ignore it and run further and further till see another light. Orange torch lights around the corner giving me hope. I run into the corner but bump into something and fall back, holding my head in pain and I look up to see two more glows in a purple color.
